Dayz Commander has a filter option, topleft. Or you can enter the ip-adress and portnumber of the server by going to 'favorites'. I think the ip of US 3480 is 108.61.45.42:2342, correct me if I'm wrong. Here's a nice tutorial btw.

You could cut off the ears of your victims and put them on a string around your neck. That's how I keep track of my kills. That necklace looks *great* on a ghillie-suit btw.

After many months of playing Arma2/DayZ I've developed a 'feel' for the gameplay and the controls. Moving through the gameworld and interacting with everything feels much more 'natural' than when I was still a noob. I don't have to think (much) about the controls or struggle with the inventory anymore. So I would't want to go back, it's much better now.

I bought Arma2 AO just to play DayZ a long long time ago. I never looked back since, IMO it was totally worth it. Arma2 is a high quality game with a large dedicated community and lots and lots of great mods, so you can't go wrong there.

You've done a very nice job, it looks amazing. Nice artwork, good articles and funny little jokes; with the adverts. A lot of work went into all that, I'm sure! I also like what you did, giving it the look and feel of a real Chernarus newspaper. Thanks for your effort, I favorited it and I'll be checking back to keep myself informed!

Absolutely. I think DayZ-mod is great, I love all elements. I don't mind if it's called alpha, beta or anything else, cause I understand what DayZ really is. It's a mod by the community for the community, no further labeling needed IMO.

I really dislike sidechat because, for me, it distracts my attention from he game and makes me lose some of that immersion.

My best encounter with hackers happened a long while ago. I was in the woods, NW of the NW-airfield, minding my own bussines when a white helux suddenly appeared out of thin air. It caught me by suprise, because I was all like: "it just appeared, how is that possible?". I was a little ignorant regarding hacking back then, I guess :-) Two guys came out and told me they wanted to build 'their secret camp' at this location. And that I should keep it a secret or else I would be killed and raped. I told them I would keep their secret (they seemed friendly, they didn't shoot me) and left. They also spawned a cardboard-box and told me to take what I liked. I thankfully declined, took nothing, and left a.s.a.p. I want to find my own stuff, not take it from a box. There is no honor in that. One of my mates started to play DayZ, a few weeks ago. And he told me that on his 2nd spawn he got a chopper-ride (by strangers) from the beach, to the NW-airfield. There he found a box filled with weapons and stuff. He took what he needed from it, than he got kicked from the server. Later we explaned to him that it was a hacked item-box and that he was probably kicked for taking from it. He really had no clue he was doing something wrong, he thought these boxes were normal in DayZ. LOL :-) We all had a laugh about that, because he didn't have a clue about hackers or DayZ and got supergear in 5 minutes, while we had to struggle to find good stuff legaly. He died shortly after, because he didn't have enough experience to survive for long. Just as well, because we would have made him drop his illegal gear anyway.

One day, I was playing with my friend. I had a 188 day old character, with supergear. Sniper, ghillie, everything. A Zed ran after my friend to eat him. I shouted in TS "don't you worry buddy, I got this!" (because I'm such a pro, lol). I pulled the trigger of my 1911, but instead of bullets leaving my gun I trew a grenade!?! Stupid-stupid-stupid me, because I didn't change back to my pistol after trowing those flares! The grenade exploded, I heared my bones breaking, I fell down and died. Lost it all, LOL. Needless to say; I felt really devestated...for 5 minutes. Respawned and continued. Best game ever.

Does normal Arma 2 (singleplayer) run normal for you? Does it give you a normal framerate when you play a singleplayer mission? My setup: - AMD Athlon 64 4000+ (singlecore) - 2gb ram - Geforce 9800 GT I can play DayZ; sometimes I have framerate-issue's. But only on crowded servers, with lots of people online, and in city's. The buildings etc. make my framerate go down a lot. And some servers just give me bad framerate, no matter what. I just switch to a different server. Usually I have a decent framerate, good enough to play the game. I mention the above because your setup is better than mine. You should be able to run the game better than I do. Did you try different servers? Maybe it's just a server issue.

It seems so. It says it's the demo, so that should be legit. But you cannot play DayZ with the Arma 2 OA demo, you need the full game (Arma 2 + Arma 2 OA).

When you die, first you should choose 'abort' in the gamemenu. Then choose 'disconnect' at the scoreboard. Then choose 'ok' at the last screen (which is the first screen when you log in, the screen with all the playernames).

And please, enjoy the landscape. Chernarus is beautifull and very peacefull at times. It will heal your soul.

Yeah, that does appeal to me, I think I would choose an ending like that... First, I would donate all my gear to a bambi. Then I would go and sit on a hill with my back to a tree and watch the sunset. With the warmth of the sun on my face I would close my eyes and 'just let it happen'. I would no longer fight it...feel my life slowly slip away...peace forever... Then I would hit abort, knowing (and believing) that logging of isn't the end of my existence. Knowing that my character will live forever in the great database of the central public hive. He's not waiting for me, there is no waiting where he is at. I would be peacefull with such an ending. But that's just me. I'm sure your 'ending' will be mega-epic :-)

I wish I could offer you some comforting words for your broken heart, some well-meant advise at least....but really nothing usefull comes to my mind. And I doubt you'll be reading it, since you've already left our loving community. Only your short goodbye-note will help us remember you. The way you where. Sometimes losing your stuff, sometimes regaining it. Going from server to server, from private hive to public hive, without a clue what was going on. We have solved your issue, but alas: it's too late. You are gone. We will miss you, Cloudsystem38; rest in peace.

154 days. Or so. But It doesn't 'say' anything. If you don't play for months, it still shows you the days that have passed.
