    Pending Build Progess: 1.5.9

I have placed 4 tents in the past few days and have seen many other tents. I found it difficult, but the trick to it seems to be to open the inventory, right click the tent and then walk around slowly (with the inventory still open) spamming the place tent button until it works. It is not a graceful approach, but it works... eventually.
  2. This thread is way too long now to go through, so this may have been said before, but anyways, these are my thoughts. We should not punish bandits. at all. it is a legit way to play and though it is annoying to be killed by a bandit, to punish them would go a ways to defeating the point of the mod, which is to survive, in ANY way you can. having the "bandit skin" punishes players, as many have pointed out, sometimes unjustly. but even when punished justly, being simply labelled as a bandit is just not what this mod is about. there is no specific way to play, or not play. you just survive, either by avoiding players, or by killing them. I do however, think there should be some new incentives to working together with others. I'm not sure what these incentives should be, but i'm sure some of you guys could think of something that would work and make sense (there is obviously the incentive that, by working together, you are naturally stronger...). An incentive to play nice with others is different to a punishment for not playing nice with others, and in the case of this game, i think it would be the better route to take. as it stands, there are already some incentives to play nice, such as blood transfusions needing a 2nd person to apply it. more things like this are needed, so it is still possible to play alone, or as a bandit, but it is far easier to play nice and cooperate. EDIT: i dont get why people always hang around cherno and elektro and then moan about bandits killing them. seems a bit silly to me. I am yet to experience this "deathmatch" people talk about, surely the easiest way to avoid it, would be to go inland? it's a piece of cake to avoid players inland.

    HOTFIX 1.5.8.3 Rolling Update

All four of those fixes are for things that have actually been a problem for me today, so thanks for the quick update! Keep up the good work!

    Timing of Patch 1.5.8

What does this mean? Some kind of new communication features? Oh boy how cool would it be if using text chat or voice chat actually alerted nearby zombies... maybe that would stop all the "anyone in cherno??" spamming!
  5. My first death at another players hands was my first death of the game. On the coast, no idea where i was, wandered along into a small town, only a few buildings, found an enfield in a shed, thought it was the bees knees for the 30 seconds i held it, before someone came round the corner of the fence by the shed, looked at me, and shot me before i had a chance to ask if he was friendly. He had a bandit skin, but this was before I even knew there was a seperate skin for bandits, as he was the first player i actually came across.
  6. While the idea of martydom in this game doesn't appeal to me, i do like the idea of being able to make IED's out of the random bits and pieces you salvage around the map, and use them as traps on corpses and vehicles and buildings.

    What was your dumbest death?

Hmmm... which to choose from... Well i was on top of the tower at the NW airfield, i tried to get my binoculars out, but pressed V instead and vaulted off the side of the tower, falling to my death. i also got killed by a door in one of the buildings at the same airfield. my most annoying death was probably being accidentally fragged by a friend in a barn after surviving for a LONG time.
