  1. Anything hidden off map gets wiped regularly.... so surely that will solve your problem if you are correct about where they are hiding stuff. Assuming that system works, of course.
  2. Seems to me that barbed wire ought to stop zombies, while players should be able to vault over, or walk through slowly. I mean, zombies would just walk into it and get all tangled up right? whereas its not that hard to get through if you are careful IRL. So i'd say get rid of it if you don't make changes like this... because as others have pointed out, it has no real value at the moment and is only used for griefing.

As others have stated, ALWAYS have an escape plan, even if it is simply "run north west if we come under fire"... this has helped me and my friend numerous times when raiding towns, its usually something like "if we get overrun, retreat to building X, if bandits attack, go to location Y, if we get split up, meet up at grid Z" etc etc... its simple, but it means when the shit hits the fan, theres no "what should we do!? where should we go!?"

I'm currently on 40 something days (as off the last time i played, about a week and a half ago, so i'll stick with 40 something, though by now its probably technically 50 something) and the only thing im guilty of that these previous posts have listed is "-Never playing alone" I always play with a friend and we generally play about 1-2 hours a day, 5 days a week (a few extra hours on thursdays as well usually), we have been on a few servers though the one we recently made our home on was actually, admittedly, quite low pop usually (20-30 people). We have driven ATV's (a LOT) and flipped them on invisible terrain (A LOT), we have been to the coast and driven a boat to skalitsky island in search of the chopper (it wasn't there) and we have encountered hackers (we killed them) we have good gear, though recently we have been unable to raid military locations due to the horrendous artifacting in those areas. as a result, over the recent weeks we have generally stayed away from danger and searched for vehicles. I have only one murder, my mate has two (though they were both hackers). We don't go to cherno or elektro, aside from the fact that its stupidly dangerous, theres not even anything good there worth risking your ass for, and we DO have fun. In short, it's not hard, just don't be a moron. I will admit we have not encountered many hackers, so perhaps we are lucky in that regard (never been teleported, for example) but other than that i think our experience is a pretty standard one, we basically don't do stuff that we think will get us killed, and we are careful when approaching towns etc.

So me and my friend were just playing on UK127, our regular home at the moment, and we just ran into a hacker in the Krasnostav general store called "Trent" We were fighting zombies for the lols and he ran in through the back room and started shooting us, we figure he was just a bandit and killed him. He was well kitted out with M4SD and NVG's etc etc. However, about 40 seconds later, he came in AGAIN, with all the same kit, and well, he was a bit shit, so we killed him again. Anyways, he must have somehow hacked to get all that kit back and teleport to us, he had over 300 zombie kills and a couple deaths (thanks to us). We tried to get a screenshot of it but they both just came out as black screens, so i photographed the player list (not sure why....) but then my friend found this: https://www.gametrac...242.227.6:2322/ so err yeah, can somebody ban this ass bandit?     SD Ammo Spawning

    I've found mags for both the M9 SD and the M4SD without the gun, often in Stary or the NW airfield. They are rare, but it is possible. I had an M4SD for about a week once and i was able to maintain a reasonable ammo count by looting these military base locations on a regular basis. Haven't found any in the last few days though, so maybe one of the recent patches changed things?

    Awesome, going to make NY8 my home now i think, since i have 3 tents setup now :P I was on the mumble yesterday for a little bit but there was only one guy on it in the afk channel, might use it with my buddy for a bit tomorrow if anyone wants to join us!

    Just played a little earlier and my tent and atv's have returned! yay! I'm curious, on each server restart, do crashed choppers de-spawn, and reappear elsewhere? Is it worth it to keep looking for them?

    my first reaction was, oh maybe they have been stolen, however, the fact that the tent was gone (not just stuff missing, completely gone) along with our ATV's made me wonder, and then to add to that, we headed over to where we had found a downed, lootable chopper the day before, and that too had disappeared, so we figured it was due to a restart as you mentioned. It's not a big deal really, we were back on NY8 today and had a good few hours play. it would of course be nice to have them back, but it's not the end of the world!

    I played on this server so much back around the 1.5-1.6 versions, but then it ate all my tents! I then went to US1 for about 3 weeks and played on there, all was fine, but when the new patch came in and reset everything, me and my mate decided to come back to NY8 cos it was so smooth before. We played for a day after 1.7.1.5 came in and got a tent setup with 2 ATV's, and found a downed chopper with some FN FAL's in, but the next day we came back, it was all gone! :( is there a reason that tents and stuff don't seem to last long on this server? We really do enjoy playing on NY8, but its a shame we lose stuff so often. Anyways, keep up the good work, it is nice to have stable servers to rely on!

    Hotfix Build 1.7.1.5 Rolling Update

    thats what i thought at first, however we then went to the building site just east of Polana, and it was the same situation there, huge piles of loot all over the place. So we went down to the factory just north of solnichniy and once again, same situation.... it wasnt a bad thing exactly lol, i mean, we got loads of loot we needed (except for engine parts, which was what we were looking for the whole time). we just assumed it was some common thing with industrial areas that had recently been tweaked, but it might have just been on that server (NY8) at that time, who knows.

    Hotfix Build 1.7.1.5 Rolling Update

    after a good 4 hour session, here are the bugs i encountered: - flies still buzzing when a body has disappeared, encountered this a few times, but could never find a body. - still can't place tents easily - zombies still spawn very close to the player some of the time. now some plus points: - i LOVE the way zombies are acting now, its not too easy to lose them, but it is possible, me and a mate got absolutely swarmed in a general store and had to eventually shoot our way out, and then made a break for it, losing the rest as we weaved through the town, was great fun! - its great that the flashlight can now be stored in the tool belt, really, really helpful! - the ability to switch ammo types between guns seems to be working fine - the green bars by the ammo mags is great, but i find the bars themselves stay in the empty slot in the bag/inventory if the mag is removed, only a minor issue and i believe they disappear when a new item is placed in the slot. now some odd things: - MASSIVE piles of loot. not sure if this is a bug or what, but basically me and my mate were looting the industrial area around the lumber mill in berezino and there were huge piles of loot on the ground, like, maybe 15 items in a pile. It was cool, though i'm not sure if it was intentional. i'm sure there was something else, but I can't recall it right now, i'll post again if i do! All in all, it seems to have been a pretty great update!
  15. How about, instead of having the food and drink go down to flashing red, and then be completely regenerated by the consumption of one item, we have a number system, like with blood. So imagine you have 10000/10000 hunger and thirst to begin with, and these numbers constantly drain depending on what you are doing. We can then assign numerical values to certain food/drink types, similar to how cans of food give you 200 blood, while meat gives 800. it could be like, cans regen 500 hunger, while raw meet is 400, and cooked meet is 1500? same with liquids, cans regen 500, water regens 1000... of course, these numbers are just me putting the point across, im sure it could be balanced more correctly, but i think this idea would be good as it means players would be more encouraged to go inland and hunt, as opposed to living off a bean diet. Also, there could be levels of fatigue, causing you to say, run slower on an empty stomach, or when dehydrated. I'm just not really a fan of the way the food and drink levels are completely regenerated by only one item at the moment. What say you!?
