Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Saw the Doc a day ago, was trying to meet up with some Chepipi guy, Doc had broken his legs and didn't have anymore morphine. On Dallas 11 I believe. Apparently he used his last morphine on someone else then of course, not too long after breaks a leg.

Would you shoot the unarmed person?

Depends on a lot of things including where I am, and if the individual in question sees me.

    Balota Airstrip Loot Question

A friend picked up an M16 one time when we both got killed up north, at the Balota Airfield. Airfields, firestations are great places to get some pretty crazy loot if you get lucky!
  4. Again' date=' this is on you. It doesn't even matter if they spawned away from the cities, people go there to kill newbie survivors. I see it all day long. It's why I get out of dodge the moment I spawn. It sounds selfish, you're acting like all these "other players" are the selfish ones, they get theirs why can't I get mine. But you don't want [i']your game-play hindered. You want the game to push others further away from you. Some bandits specifically travel from the north to the coastal cities for the purpose of killing newbie survivors. It's ten miles of bad road. You say you tire of repeating yourself, but you're not making a very compelling case. "I could bring an umbrella or go inside, but the rain should be moved further away from me".
  5. Here's the rub Judge. Get away from the coast. Its where all these less-desirable people go to kill other people; the loot, while at times decent, is nothing compared to the bounties of the north. There's another 90% of the map you are refusing to experience because you 'want to have your cake and eat it too'. You want to have fun the second you spawn, but you can't, because of people trying to kill you. You say it is unfair that they get to enjoy the game but you can't. Doesn't that seem a little asinine to you? You can enjoy the game, you just don't want to have to work for it? You want to just have things on your terms right away? I mean, I just can't support a sentiment like that, not in a game like this. I don't enjoy sitting in the cities near the coast, I don't care it takes me 30 to 40 minutes to start getting into areas I enjoy exploring in the event I get killed. It sucks at times, but it's the nature of the beast. A safe zone of any kind, even if it could be overrun is completely against the whole intention of this mod. The only safe zones should be ones players create and defend themselves.
  6. I just don't really understand the persistence in some folks about remaining near the shore. The only way someone could deathmatch you, by respawning over and over, would be if you stayed near the coast. Not only stayed near the coast, but they respawned near you come their next life. If someone wants to kill you, they're going to try. Why make it easy for them and stay in the area you killed them at? At least relocate. I don't have any respect for the respawn bandits that do nothing but romp around feeling tough in cherno and elektro, but I've accepted that risk is there and remove myself from the equation. The problem is when you start trying to draw lines or do anything, even remotely, to influence the games behavior towards you based upon your humanity rating, you start down a slippery slop. It becomes punishing people for playing the game. It is really that simple. Being a bandit, killing other players, is part of the game.

Best way to meet up with a friend?

As everyone has been saying, codes, more specifically my group uses "In the event of a catastrophic loss meet here", the place we consider our "unofficial home" in Day Z.

Bandits don't get punished, Survivors do...

Based on my slow internet at work, and the fact that I don't have the patience to watch that kind of gameplay, I will say that, the majority of what I watched was coastal city killings. The kind of stuff everyone is warned about. I don't understand some peoples stubbornness to stay near Cherno and Elektro. You don't need to head inland very far to avoid this kind of random, cliche bandit killing. Let me put it in another way. If a zombie apocalypse actually happened, I would NEVER go to a big city, EVER. For the reason of not trusting other people, and the obvious infestation of zombies.

Again you're basing your context of reality/realism on the thought that the 'bad-guys' are either wearing their 'bad-guy' outfits or are easily detectable in real life by their facial expressions and voices. It's just not a realistic assessment. This isn't war' date=' there aren't two standardized military elements fighting one another. Each with their own distinctive combat uniforms and markings. This is a cluster****, end of days, survival of the fittest world. You belittle the mod itself, the creator, and then get defensive when people jump down your throat. Is it so unexpected? Is it really so surprising? I'm pretty indifferent about the Bandit skins. When I'd see one up north, I figured he was up to no good, much less likely a "killed in defense" situation. However this gave me unfair knowledge about that particular individual, information I would be less likely to gain in real life by just seeing someone off in the distance. I appreciate the fact that you don't want the gameplay to be ruined out of fear of grouping. It is a valid concern. Well no matter the case, bandit skin or not, the risk is there when dealing with strangers. Just like real life, just like in game. Interact at your own risk. You're welcome.

    Feedback: 1.5.8 Zombie Spawn

More Zombies = good. Zombies spawning in on you in a continuous wave like a tower-defender game is a little over the top. Lots of zombies make things feel dangerous and fun. I'd rather fight 30 zombies then have 10 coming constantly over and over. Sometimes it's fun with the flow of them, but sometimes it's a bit silly. *Edit* Admittedly I'm a bit torn. In some ways the danger and risk from being constantly swarmed is appealing. And in some ways it isn't.

If this was real, and thank god it isn't, I wouldn't trust anyone. Why would you? Trust is earned not just handed out. I avoid contact unless absolutely necessary. Just because I'm one of the few surviving people in an area doesn't immediately mean it's touchy feely time with everyone else, still breathing, I encounter. People lie. People cheat. Most Zombie story writers and movies show the very realistic breakdown of morality the absolute millisecond shit hits the fan. It's human nature, read a history book and then imagine what would happen if zombies were added in the mix. Rocket's broken vision. Bravo. I'd say a poor choice of words, but perhaps in your bitterness it was intended. You need to be very well versed in human psychology and trained in reading body language to have any remote hint of someone who is well experienced in deception, to see any red flags in their behavior. I guess you're a trained interrogator, such as a police homicide detective or other more extreme examples of said job. How many Zombie or even horror movies show you the main characters responding to a distress call only to be ambushed upon entry. It isn't unrealistic, humans are greedy, especially in dire circumstances. Watching the news should be enough proof of that fact. Not everyone is a sour grape, but all it takes is one sour grape to kill you. Rocket's good intentions just made the company he works for a nice chunk of money, and given me close to 100 hours already of amazing gaming experience, like none I've had. As far as this garbage about siding with Bandits. Avoid them? I've been ambushed only once and laid the dude out with my buddy. I've never been jumped unexpectedly unless in areas I knew the risk was present. (IE NW Airfield). There are so many ways to avoid Bandits. It's a bit like, "Well I have all these miles of land to navigate and gather supplies, however, I'd much rather go in the direction of all that shooting and player deaths". If you want to find someone to group with, you are taking that risk. Not everyone will kill you just to kill you. I didn't know being unable to chat actually prevents them from killing you... oh I see, you hopefully aren't one of those cats who listens to folks saying "Come here I found a great gun but can't take it in Cherno". Rocket doesn't like global chat to boot, he wants to have it be direct chat only, which it should be. Yes you're all for realism, on your terms. It doesn't take much to fool people in real life as to your intentions unless, you're like I said, a real gangster at reading people. That requires training and a lot of instinct, something most folks don't have.
  12. I just unlocked "skill" in MW3!!!!! How do I equip it?

    Build 1.5.8 rolling update

Dear Rocket, RE: Carebear Hate Yeah because you creating this mod for us, for free isn't enough. We demand your freedoms as well, first to go is speech. How dare you make jokes, let alone use profanity? Don't you understand our lack of intellect and overall "retardism" is unable to process these kind of harmful statements? I cry literal tears of blood when someone calls me mean names. I believe it's a condition called pussyhitis. You should really respect our weakness and not allow the harshness of the world to consume our pathetic existence. I choose to live a sheltered life, how dare you attempt to bring me out of my shell. Carebear is the worst of the worst in terms of derogatory statements. My level of cowardice and overall fragile being cannot take anymore brutal blows Rocket!
  14. So unless I'm mistaken, this has been achieved by sitting in the starter towns waiting for inexperienced or freshly killed (most likely the former) survivors. I'd reckon you probably get killed fairly often, run and grab a better gun and rinse and repeat? Congratulations I guess. Sure seems like that would take the majority of the thrill away from the hunt in my opinion. Let alone dying often. No sense of accomplishment outside of just a single number.
