Name: [MoS]fran2k12 Time: ~16:30 CET Server: US 858 What happened: Me (Face) and my mates Thor and zombori connected to the server and spawned in Cherno on 2 roofs (me and Thor) and around the hospital (zombori) when we noticed a chopper flying over cherno. When he stopped we decided to shot him. We hit the pilot and the chopper crashed (I forgot the name of the pilot which we killed). Along with the pilot [MoS]fran2k12 died. Suddenly ( around 10 sec later) my mate told me that he heared steps on the ladder to his roofs so I just turned in his direction and shot a person which had an AS50 and a patrol bag with my CZ550. Guess who I killed? Right, [MoS]fran2k12 again. My mate decided to climb the ladder down to loot him when I saw a person spawning above him on the top of the roof (again 10 seconds later) turning instantly in my direction to send me a bunch of bullets directly over my head (once again an AS50) -.- I guess this kid just used a teleport script and gave himself an AS50 everyime he died =( Anyway, he´s a terrible sniper ;) PS: According to DayZ commander he is still on the server (16:56 CET)

Actually in my opinion its not a big problem - if you want to fight them you have to deal with higher ammunition loss. I mean, its a sodding apocalypse, right? So for me its just fine that you cant win straight away if you want to fight zeds directly. Tbh, if you attract zeds in buildings with only 1 entrance you deserve to die, dont you? I agree with the current decision to make zed deadlier cause the game otherwise just deathmatch (actually even at the current state I give a f*** about zeds since you could handle them in a easy way if you use your brain and a team if possible).

Downloading the files, running the exe and then copy the armaOA.exe from /expansion/beta to the maindirectoy - worked as intended The arma2 "addon" files are from 02/07/2012. In the OA I have the folder "common" which looks similar to the addon folder. most of the files are from 02/07/2012 and the files "mission.pbo" and "modules.pbo" are from 12/08/2012. Then I have a "addons" folder on operation arrowhead/expansions/addons. In this folder the entire language files as well as the anims_e.pbo / missions.pbo /weapons.pbo and ui.pbo are from 12/08/2012. the other files are as expected from 02/07/2012. ---- Additional information: When I see the mainmenue I also get the message "bin/config.bin/cfgvehicles/citizen1.scope is missing". I do not get any of this errors when I use 1.7.2.4. Thanks for the help so far!

Alright, after 4h of trying to get the new update working I am desperate enough to ask for help in here. Until yesterday I played with version 1.7.2.4 and betapatch 95883. Since the most of the servers on 1.7.2.5 now I updated manually - ofc with the betapatch I mentioned above. So now the weird things start. After the update I got a "CA_Dubbing_Counterattack" error when loading OA. The game loaded anyway. So now if I try to join a server I see the "wait for host" message and then for a short moment the lobby and a list of the players written in green appears. Next thing I see is the serverbrowser and the "you can not play / edit this mission" - message. -.- So there is no way for me to play DayZ anymore. What I did so far: -Reinstalling OA completly -Checking the cache via steam -Battleeye update -Reinstalling the latest betapatch So the funny fact is that I saved the 1.7.2.4 files and when I try to run the game with this version everything is fine (besides the teleport stuff and so on - but nothing to complain in here). Based on that I think the mainfiles are ok. I am able to connect on a bunch of servers (not that much left so far for 1.7.2.4 and 95833=[ ). So any solutions or stuff I forgot so far? I could add screens if you need them. Please help - you will get tons of beans! Regards
