  1. awesome server! high perfomance, no lags, one of the best admins if ever encountered.
  2. My current home server Good Performance, best admins I have Ever met, nice lootz and players like Hardcore pvp bandits and carebear and everything between
  3. what if my favourite server shuts down? i like the public hive idea and the possibilities it adds in terms of choosing where and when to play. On the other hand i see the problem with getting gear on low pop server and ghosting. Maybe the standalone can save the gear to the server cause we can be sure the server will not go down or change its map.

    An easy way to build bases

    the only thing im suggesting, that differs from the op, is to have bases where the players want, not just 10 predefined places on the map. ofc the loot inside would be unaccesable for everyone else, but thats just the nature of the game. (for balancing maybe even remove the lootspawn from bases) i also really like the "blocked ground floor + collapsed ladder to second floor entrance", with many more enterable buildings this would be great.

  6. hello, dayzdb.com lists the following stats for the British Assault Pack: Item Slots: 18 Weapon Slots: 3 im not sure how to interpret these numbers. can i fit 3 m4a3 (or any other gun) in this backpack? Plus 18 Regular items? To my knowledge main weapons (like the m4a3 or any other gun) take up then slots. 3*10 = 30 =/= 18. thanks for helping me ;) (same question applies basicly to all backpacks)

    An easy way to build bases

    i like the general idea. its simple. what i suggest is to not only allow it in certain areas, instead let us decide where we wanna make a base. the most well known example is probably the factory between polana and orlovets. but there are other places already ingame that i thought of "this would be an awesome base" most of the time this thought was killed by the zombies and the inability to really fortify it and having a open/close entrance. so yeah, vehicles to block the door, kill all zombies so they dont respawn. great!
  8. hello everybody, ok this is my problem: yesterday i started playing on the public hive again. i logged in and played, everything was fine. today i logged in again, on a different server, still public hive. after walking through a forest i suddenly have the broken bones symbol, but i can still walk. about 5min later i try to eat something (MRE, Pasta) but the game tells me im in a vehicle and cant eat. the next two buildings didnt spawn zombies or loot. i logg out and try a different server. Now i get kicked for script restriction #45, or the game tells me something is wrong and i shall log in again. i tried different server but everytime its either kicked for the script restriction #45 or "some went wrong, try again" any ideas how to solve this?

    Country-Specific Chopper Crashes

    two things: first, i assume chopper crashes are ingame to providea bit of uncertainty and a thing to search for. they contain the "best" (whatever thta means for the individual) weapons ingame. they add another "goal" and a huge amount of variety and replayability. second: i would like to see german chopper crashes ;) g36 and its varients are already ingame. and germany also uses hueys.

    Ideas

    i always missed flamethrowers in dayz, though a spray can and a lighter would not suffice to kill a zombie or even more than one. but maybe we can find an old military flamethrower in an abandoned military compound? though the have seen better times i heard some armies still have a couple of them stockpiled for clearing bushes and countering wildfires.

    ye the gamma things sucks and needs to be addressed. i like the fog / any kind of heavy weather idea. for some people it means they stay away from towns, for others its a perfect thing to sneak in to a town.

    Attributes that effect your Character

    i dont like the idea of predefined things, but what about "evolution" of your character. lets say if you eat alot (more than you need to not be hungry) then your character gets added weight over time. this in turn would make him slower. if you run a lot your legs get stronger and you can run a bit faster/longer without having to take a rest. if you built many things (like a things for a base) your arms (and upper body) get stronger and you can carry a bit more. ofc this progression should be slow and not within a few days. my 2 cents

    Ability to strip down motors

    i like this idea. but it would fixing stuff maybe too easy. what would be interesting is to have different wheels for different cars types, like: onroad cars (hatchbacks, gaz, skoda) offroad (military off road, uaz, pick-up), trucks (v3s, ural). and off motorbike and bicycle. this idea could be applied to engine parts aswell. oh and while we are talking about this: make the spare tires of some cars aviable for use.

    DayZmeets Wasteland

    im also a fan of the wasteland mod. but i think the current system wont fit to dayz. or to be more precise the current buildings wont fit. most of the buildings consist of h-barriers and those are usually filled with a front loader not by hand. other than that i really like the easy to use way of placing structures and rearranging them. another cool feature is the ability to tow broken cars behind bigger/stronger cars. this could help dayz as well: for buildings a wall to keep undead out, or to secure your base. but there needs to be an item like a towing chain that allows you to tow one vehicle behind another one. chains with 5 and more vehicles like in wasteland are not ok. tl;dr structures like wasteland - no, placing system - yes towing vehicles with special items cool

    delayed Zombie spawn

    this suggestion can be combined with harder zombies. i would prefer slower zombies, but atleast the second hit would kill you. i see your point. im sure there is a way to check where a player is, and let zombies spawn atleast 10m away. maybe behind the next building, not directly in front. possible spawns could also be behind a can of trash or behind a wall. so the zombie has to walk a bit to get to the player. but yeah this is the probably biggest problem about the suggestion.
