Yeah, I'm thinking that ALT+F4 is disabled already. Doesn't seem to work at all...

Is there anything we can do about servers that re-enable the global and side chat? I've played on quite a few servers that were 1.7 and later, and requiring the latest beta patch, yet had side and global chat enabled for everyone. I'm not sure if it's caused by them running 1.7 with an old version of the mission file (if this is even possible) or if they are manually editing said mission file to enable the chat. If its the latter, it seems that it should be grounds for those servers being blacklisted, since modifying the official files is supposed to be a no-no as far as I'm aware.

Odd, I tried to mess with the gamma on a night-time server with 1.7.1.2 and it had little effect as before. I'm also a bit unsure as to how the mod would affect that if it's something that's supposed to be coded into the beta patch itself.

It looks like you're not launching the beta, and somehow getting into a server that's not forcing the beta client.

There are a LOT of people ending up in the barren wilderness. I was able to join into a few servers just fine at my regular location, in an attempt to find one that wasn't crashing or otherwise fubar'ed. But after joining a server that had 1.7.1.2 in the description even though it was really only running 1.7.1, I joined a server with the CORRECT version and put me in the wilderness. Tried a few different servers, all with the same problem.

What's the deal with servers still not requiring the beta patch? What happens when someone NOT running the beta patch tries to join with 1.7.1.2?

I haven't had any issues loading so long as I join a server that actually requires[\u] the correct beta patch version. I also avoid any servers that only show a few players in, because that's a good sign the server is fubar'ed. -

This is 100% possible which is what i'm saying needs to be done as well. May take time though and depends on coding skills :P Being knocked unconscious gives you the hourglass screen, which prevents you from bringing up the game menu to abort and disconnect. Doesn't seem like much of a stretch to apply something similar to disconnecting or logging out.

Umm no, the dynamic lighting being borked was caused back in beta 93666. I think that comment about the exploit being fixed actually has to do with a cheat exploit being fixed. On another note, before nighttime lighting was broken, night servers usually had at least 10-20 people in it. Now there's only 4 or 5 it seems. -
Not intentionally mind you. Something about how the new tone mapping broke dynamic lighting.

I brought my balls' date=' but I can't see them in the dark. I should take a screenshot of 8:30PM where it's still a clear twilight evening yet the ground is completely pitch black. Now [u']THAT is not correct lighting.

Need to find a time of night where the moon either hasn't come up yet or has already gone down...I played the other night it was 10PM and the moon wasn't up yet. -

Yeah me and my mates all equipped camo skins without issue and we all use the beta. I would either guess it's from not running beta patch on a beta server, or something that's specific to certain characters.

Yeah with the lighting currently broken, flares don't give off nearly as much light as they should / used to. Problem is, it's even a bit too dark when the sky is still bright from dusk. -

That's really interesting, I had to look this up to confirm it. There ARE suppressed SMGs that are designed to use subsonic ammunition, but the MP5SD is designed to use standard supersonic rounds.

1.7 has been a godsend compared to 1.6.0.1, at least in my personal experience. I'm sorry there are those with issues still.

I don't know if that is 100% accurate though, there is a lot of energy transfer involved causing massive hydrostatic shock, although a clean through and through will always be a relatively minor wound no matter the round. The 7.62 may not tumble in mid-air like smaller rounds though so it MAY be less likely to cause massive trauma I suppose.

I equipped the camo skin in 1.7 a couple nights ago and logged back into various servers with no problem. Had a buddy that equipped with no problem also. Seems to be erratic... -
It won't prevent the crack of the bullet being supersonic (essentially it's a sonic boom.)
