Yeah that will help no end, this is a great video and worth a look for a fraps user..

For best results with Fraps it's worth buying a SSD to Write to, long videos used to bring my FPS down into the 20's when running from and writing to the same HDD.

Is the game running off the same drive you are writing to? I always record on a separate disk, Fraps takes up a lot of the drives bandwidth.

Yeah that's the other option, the only reason for not installing via steam is because it can mess up your dayzcommander but as your not using it =)

Port 80 I believe, well that was mentioned in the thread I posted yesterday but I wouldn't have a clue as never needed to changed any of those settings. It's gotta be firewall/connectivity related. Long long shot have you reset your router/modem recently?

No worries, Last thing I can think of On Dayzcommander.exe - Properties - security - are the permissions all set to Allow for Administrators and Users?

You could always try the Play withsix launcher http://play.withsix.com/ it another option =(
