Exp Update: 0.58 + Hot Fix.

My thanks to you ColdAtrophy. I mean I read about what Brian wrote: But, but I still can not really believe it and see it happen.^^ That would be such a milestone for gameplay!

Not sure about the leather sack, but maybe have a look on "Mr. Whiteout" at ~4h 54m: http://www.twitch.tv/kdwolf77/v/8637345 It seems like that you can dye everything...or at least bleach everything.^^ I play stable branch on a private server and can not wait to built up my camp with the 0.58 update. Do you think that camps will survive the weekly server maintenance on wednesdays? Or will they just disappear? Just a screenshot from yesterday when playing on the DE-02 first person server. Two of my favorite "guys" in DayZ in one picture ;-)

In some buildings the same items seem to spawn twice. (Also the small civilian buildings with a lot of doors and clothing in it). I played on "US-Southeast-01": It felt like becoming a creature of the wood when wearing those autumn hunting clothing: I met some animals and they seem to respawn with every server restart in front of me: Even when playing on low settings DayZ is still looking beautiful for me:

Exp Update: 0.58 + Hot Fix.

Within two hours of gameplay on the last Experimental Update, I met three goats, two chicken, one pig and one boar! All animals were in the area around Nadezhdino, Kozlovka and Pulkovo. I love it <3 (Persistence and animals are more important for me than Infected- just saying ;-))

I saw two deers at different spawning locations for wild animals and took both of them down. One was on a field southwest of Msta and the other near the "misc_feedshack" south of Pusta. Finally! I only met chickens at the locations where wild animals should appear in 0.57 before. And of course a lot of those domestic animals like pigs, goats and cows near small villages, which I still hit in 0.58. But where did all the boars went? Did not catch sight of a boar for ages (at least not in 0.57/0.58). After satisfying my leather fetish in DayZ I had a good time, like I usually have on Experimental. Enjoy to see the first shy traces of Persistence back in game (planting hints, ruined and useful stuff somebody left behind on roads or in houses). Overall, I like many innovations which promise more survival romance and Persistence is just the big one among them.
  6. - I rubber-banded two times in about six hours - My character did not freeze for one time, which was the most important aspect for me after the previous experimental update. - I avoid melee combat with zombies, because it felt unpredictable. But I like the different ways you can flee before them now. - Never saw a Mosin but a lot of animals around. - This experimental update in combination without regularly server restarts feels like DayZ 2017 and I enjoyed the detailled focus on surviving. At least the start in the east was difficult and I was worried sometimes. I started at night south of Berezinho and searched the city for about a hour. Almost all the doors were open and all I could find was one can of spaghetti, a tuna, a beer and a pepsi in the marginal areas of the city and mostly just because one survivor forgot to search the last room of a building. I had some apples to eat to survive. Also clothing was very rare and I usually just found jeans from other Survivors. I found a "badly damaged" hatchet and was finally able to eat my cans. Then I made my way up to Polana and there it looked better. I was very glad to found a badly damaged wool-jacket. I took a SKS and 15 rounds for the Mosin. The best was a compass (pristine). I never saw a compass in this state before! It was a joy to sneak through the cities in nighttime and not to attract attention. You just see the beautiful places and details of the cities and how many opportunities there are for you to hide. I moved on to Novy and Stary and found more useful things like a school backpack and a Blaze with another 20 rounds and I let my SKS back for another Survivor. My further way led me to green mountain and the villages in the neighborhood, because I had always one eye on heli-chrashs, but did not found one. I sneaked through Zelen. and Kamenka at the end and these places were also looted. It was a really nice time to gear up slowly. Now my character looks like a civilian survivor who has to deal with the remnants of civilization. -I usually play on a three-year old middle class multimedia notebook (Lenovo Edge 520 with i5core and 1024 Vram) and I am finally able to enjoy the game also in big cities, where I normally walked in slow motion. But now the game runs better for me than ever before. I do not know why, because server fps =/= client fps but it does for some reason. Of course I play on very low settings and used a "FPS-Guide".
  7. A manual install of battleEye fixed the "loading screen" problem for me. (just tried two server and it workes-both times spawned on the beach) http://www.battleye.com/download.html I am suprised, because i thought the last beta patches would also install battleEye files. Maybe i was wrong. Hope it will work for other player too.
  8. The same here...bad loading screen. I use Arma X Retail. (1.7.2.4 and beta 95819) I logged out yesterday near Berezino and started this morning full geared in Kamenka on a place like a fresh spawn -i died in Balota-started a new game and logged out later in Elektro and now always loading screen. Also i can not leave the black loading screen and have to use task manager. What else should i do when waiting 30 minutes or more? I play DayZ since May and never had a issue like this. I hope this could be fixed before standalone version...
