Hi, I'm looking for a group of people that play DayZ aftermath to play with me. I'm a relatively friendly player and will help people out that need it, but I do have an itchy trigger finger sometimes! I'm usually quite chilled, i like to have a laugh at times, i'm not a very serious gamer, and most importantly, I'm not a squeaker! If anyone would like to play this mod with me, i'm looking of a group of 3 - 4 players, more than that and it's usually too hard to survive because loot is quite scarce. I live in Britain, so I will be in a GMT timezone. (many people say that i sound older though!) do you like pvp or surviving/looting? : love survival and pvp, although i dont go round shooting everyone i see, i usually only shoot if shot at. what are you looking for in a private hive server (not needed but wanted) : Custom mods, i love custom mods (EG self bloodbag, auto refuel etc.) also, i live in England, so i am in BST Time zone. My favourite maps are chernarus, namalsk and sahrani, but i usually try out most maps :)

the only reason zombies are fast is because (i believe) that is is just a re animated version of the in game ai, which runs as fast as your character. im not sure that they can slow them down in the dayz mod, but probably can in the standalone.

This was a while back, in the good ol' DayZ of 1.7.3 and 1.7.4 when i first ever joined. I was in elektro market, on a 30 player server. I found a makarov and 3 clips in the back, knowing that it wasnt a very good gun but better than nothing. I kept the mags in my inventory, however put the gun in my backpack, making it seem like i was a complete newb. Anyway, i hear footsteps at the front, and a ringing of AK shots going off. So, i peek my head round and see that there was a guy with an akm, alerting all the zombies and then shooting them. (I dont know why, he was probably new to the game like i was). So, i said "stop shooting the AKM, you're just alerting them! and he stopped. he took out his pistol and started shooting them. Good boy. Later after shooting the zombies, he turns round and says "but why shouldnt i shoot you?" I replied with "well, i got no weapon and im new to DayZ." He fell for my trick. he said "would you like my pistol?" and i replied with "Nah, do you want mine though?" He was confused, because he didnt see me holding any gun. but then, he turned around and i took the makarov out of my pack and shot him in the head twice and watched him fall to the ground. For safety, i released the rest of the mag into him to be sure. I took his ak and m1911, and thats when I thought to myself "wow, i should do this more often!" and since then i have tried being friendly but it never really worked, so i reverted back to my old ways :P

I personally never thought you could. Yes, it was easy to find an AK, maybe a revolver ETC. but the ammo was still quite scarce, and the PvP, if anything, has increased, so people can get the now super scarce loot off of new spawns. If you own a winnie, or even a pistol at the coast, you are king of the coast. The people that find even 1 mag for their gun WILL use it on players, just because there is a chance that they have bandages + painkillers, which are now too precious.

you say "heaps more loot". by that do you mean "heaps more tin cans"? because the problem is there sin't ENOUGH loot. have you been in a hospital? you could find like 5 antibiotics, 30 blood bags, and loads more. Now you're lucky to find a bandage. The patch needs to be fixed. The reason everybody is angry is because it feels like when you go on a recruit server it feels like you're playing expert. Also, the 1.7.7. Patch brings along many more glitches such as: Random bleeding that you can't see. ALL stat monitors (Drink, Food etc) are always fully green. ALWAYS. Screen doesn't change colour so it doesn't look like you have lost blood. This is why people are so angry, I personally rolled back to 1.7.6.1 to get rid of the horrific "upgrade" to DayZ. Just my opinion :/

Ok, so you found a few snipers. all the other spawns are fk'ed up.

The only 3 things i REALLY hate are the sudden loss of loot spawns, higher chance of infection and the god damn zombie tackle. How to fix? Spawn more loot. Spawn more AntiBiotics / Make chance of infection less. Decrease the chance of a zombie tackle. The tackle is the most annoying, i was trying to kill 3 guys with my m14, and as i shot at them, a zombie ran at me and hit to me to the ground. i was shot. I think i managed to kill 1 though. The tackle is way too common though, on the change log it says "HAVE A CHANCE". it's not "HAVE A CHANCE" it's "WILL HIT YOU TO THE FLOOR" :P But i really think they need a hotfix.
