Not sure if this is the same question, but my friend and I got some tents and had trouble placing them. Wanted to go in editor with tents to see if we can figure them out, but we don't know how to have/use them in editor.

Whenever one of us gets a broken leg and nobody has morphine, the one with broken leg kills himself and has to make it back to his stuff while the other waits. It's a hell of a lot faster and safer than looking for morphine. Ever since I nearly incapacitated myself proning next to a tree (something we always do all the time!), we are afraid of proning next to trees now. We also stay the feck out of the way of gates and doors ever since I horribly mangled myself trying to open one. heh you know how sometimes when you try to prone, your character will run a few steps forward and dive to the ground? I once saw a guy on a roof dive straight off of it. I'm pretty sure he did that by accident, but damn was it funny. Morphine could not save him :(

They seem very rare. I feel lucky if I find them. One day, I actually came across 6 of them; 3 of which were in the same market. Now that I need them again, I can't find them:rolleyes: I'd like to see guns made as rare as matches. That would be fun.

I'll keep that in mind! I have a tool box, but have been unable to remove any of these things. Thank you.

Finally gave night a good try since it was changed, it's awful. It's not just annoying that's it's dark, but that it's unrealistically dark. The sky was wonderfully lit with stars, but everything that wasn't sky was BLACK, no shape no shade, just black. At best, I can see the tops of trees silhouetted against this brilliant sky; and I can see things that are textured white, like the supermarket or my friends arms. If it is to stay this way, can we at least change the flashlight to a headlamp so that we can see while running and have a pistol? Oh god we tried one with rain too. It was hilarious how we kept losing each other and had to 'marco-polo' over direct chat. Now I always have chemlights, and one of use keeps a torch ready to spot loot. We feel awfully vulnerable having to use lights though and really really hate that we can't use flashlight on the go.

Gee, by the comments in this thread, it sounds like every spot is terrible and putting a tent anywhere in the map is stupid. I wish the game didn't let people run off map to store their shit. Instead, I'd like to be able to place a tent anywhere I want and be able to set traps. I'd like to rig my tent with c4 to explode in a blaze of glory if anybody but me touches it.

I've never done this before, but yeah that's true right? You would have to save an image of it, and load the image each time I think. character data is in 'my docs' right? and when it comes to dayz all your stuff is saved on server right? so I guess it might be cool....?

Hmmm. I have a 32gb usb3 flash drive sitting around doing nothing. What if I just dumped the whole game in there? I'd have to use junctions and the ram disk thing huh?

YES It's simple and sounds effective. Would love to see if/how this changes the game.

Doesn't make much sense. If they have the option, they would just kill anyway. And I'm not sure how many people would choose surrender if they felt they had any chance of fighting, running, or DCing.

Yea this happens a lot. At first it was confusing; I thought the game was buggy. Now I expect it every time. I'm actually surprised when people DON'T do it. The worst was when a guy spawned right in front of me; scared the crap out of me. I quickly put half a Makarov mag in his head and the rest in his dead corpse. Then when I tried to loot the corpse, it disappeared. I thought I was going to get his mp5 :( DCing is powerful. I saved my own life with it when zombies started killing me in an empty room. Hitting through the walls I guess? I dunno, felt like a cheap death so I did the cheap thing and quit. I know this sounds lame but I think I used it on a player once too. I was running through the woods and just lost most of my health suddenly. I think somebody shot me. I DC'ed and managed to save myself later. Now I can't help but think about the times I was murdered and how easily I could've escaped them :\

hmm I think I like this. It would be neat to see how things turn out when everybody doesn't start with a pistol and a bunch of mags. Then again, it could be frustrating and tedious. Really wish this game had melee.
