This is very nice work. Very, very good. That said, the ABSOLUTELY REPSPAWNING RIGHT AWAY ZOMBIES makes me :@ and  and ultimately :dodgy:

Is it coming out today?

And am literally shitting my pants whenever I log in. Instead of raiding cities, I now raid small villages. Instead of eating beans, I now kill game and eat meat. Anyone else know the emotional trauma I am going through?

Rocket I love you: Going out of bounds - exploit or acceptable?

It's funny how everybody prioritizes their problems and then thinks nobody is fixing it. I trust the man above (missile, or whatever his name is ) will fix all these concerns, for now we are alpha testing bitches. If you don't want to log in to find yourself in the ocean, September is a good month for DayZ my magic ball tells me. EDIT: Thanks a lot for keeping us updated, as always! And for addressing my concern. I really really hope EA does not buy your soul because you are a genuine survivor, not that NW Airfield EA crap. Then again, imagine how much money a EA zombie MMO would make. Hell, it's a tough decision and not all of us have the willpower not to choose MOZ (Money over Zombies)

So it will never be more than 5 seconds until what, ARMA 3? This does not address it as long distance DCing will still occur. This might help every third encounter in CQC. At least put an hourglass that has to go all the way down when you exit.

So I've heard of cars disappearing and I'm wondering if this is caused by the server or by people actually stealing them while you're offline. I stashed my UAZ far far into the forest and clicked "save" in the menu, is there anything else I can do to minimize the risk of the car disappearing? Thanks

Behold, my two holy DayZ commandments that will EXPLODE DayZ simulation and social interaction into the ASTRAL REALM! 1. Introduction of always functional direct voice chat, so people know it works and how to use it. This could be easily done by a post by the dev team in the breaking news forum titled "Now you can use voice chat!" so every noob coming into the game knows it works and how to operate it. 2. Gaining a moderate HP bonus (+30%) when in the radius of other players, can be stacked by additional players (up to 100%). This could be achieved by setting the radius to only kick in the bonus after being around the player for 10+ mins, encouraging at least some sort of teamplay within a certain timeframe. There, I fixed DayZ.

I thought it was a normal day in Chernogorsk. I wake up (spawn) at the fire station, hoping to maybe get more ammo for my winchester. I don't have much - a box of matches, a winchester, and some water. What was going to be an average loot run turned my life with 10 minutes of frantic panic and escape. So back to the fire station. I should have noticed the signs...barbed wire was strung everywhere around the fire station making it near impossible to get out. I see a dead body and go investigate. I find some beans. I walk out of the Chernogorsk fire station on a crisp dark evening. Lo and behold, I see a 4 door white sedan parked preciously beside the fire station. "What?!", I think to myself. "Is this happening?" I have never to this day seen a car, let alone an almost functional car right beside a main city in a vulnerable location. I inspect the damage, and cautiously look around. No one so far. The car isn't beat up too badly, and needs 2 tires and some engine work. I cannot seem to resist the urge to get in and test the smoothness of the seats, the comfort of a portable home. I decide to get in the drivers seat. It starts. As soon as I turn on the car, I heart Winny shots ringing against the car's passenger side. "Noo!", I cry. I will not give up this car without a fight. The bandit's Winchester shots attracted 3 zombies and now he's crouch strafing around the car. I get out, crouch, and put 2 winchester slugs into his torso. That's it, I think. I'm fucked. A car in the middle of Cherno, and now I have alerted the whole town of my presence. I better work fast, I think to myself. I quickly sprint to the nearest shed or "garaj". Success! Engine parts. I run back and fix the engine. Still nobody around. The 2 wheels are not a challenge and I find the spare wheels after about 5 minutes of searching around. As I work to fix the 2nd wheel, I hear PDW shots spraying from the fire house. I go prone and realize that the car is the main priority, and is fixed now. I quicky get in, reverse into a zombie, and floor it while trying to get the fuck out of Cherno as fast as possible. In my rear view I hear Uzi clips piercing into my car and zombies chasing me as I speed away into the night, headlights shining and (pretend) music blaring.

This guy sounds like the devil on your right (or left) shoulder. Stop being a baby and rob that Wal-Mart. Stop being a baby and don't use the condom. Might as well throw all fucking moral codes out the goddamn window.

I'm getting slideshow FPS regardless of people.
-
Especially since people say it happens with people around. Got the same issue, first time logging in with 1601 I start to notice I'm getting stuttering and low fps in the mid teens 12-15 in the middle of a forest with no one around. This was with a 560 ti beta drivers (301.) Afterwards I downgraded to 295. nVidia drivers and now I'm getting even lower FPS, I'd say around 5. Or however low fps you need to have for even the chat to stutter. Maybe 3 FPS.

Guys, honestly stop talking about the goddamn heatpacks. We're past that issue. All I see is like 10 pages on heatpacks you would think MAYBE just MAYBE survivors would care about something more serious than where they could locate a fucking heatpack. Shit, I say give them a 0.001% to spawn on top of a building because anyone using a heatpack should just jump off of it.

Wait so cars are going to be in after 1.5.9, same as tents, right?

I know how this is gonna end... image removed. -
Hey survivors, So today I had this weird issue where I logged out near some town and upon relogging about 2 hours later I find my dude is laying either dead, unconscious, or drunk on the ground. I cannot move and there is no hourglass, I'm not even sure if I'm alive because I hear flies buzzing around. The buttons work and I can go in 3rd and chat with only group channel but other than that nothing. This happens on all servers and even with a completely new player profile that I created to test. Please help as this is disturbing my moral code. Did I go to heaven or hell?

Can't wait for 2.0 beta.

This guide is a fucking failure.

You know, the shit that saves your progress when you log out? I don't care if it's alpha or theta, this is is just a suggestion. Anyway, there should be persistence in the game world that carries over to other servers. It's pretty much a deathmatch because everyone constantly forgets their server and switches to a new game world, etc. At this point in time if you finally spend 24 hours to repair a heli and then the server restarts, your progression is over. Same thing if I build wiring around a building and establish a base. As soon as I switch servers or it restarts, everything is lost. Thus, the only thing I want to do now is go and shoot survivors because at least my weapons and gear save. But I feel no real incentive to set up shop or get anything done. AND I DON'T WANNA HEAR THE DAYZ FANBOYS WHO LOVE EVERYTHING BUT CHANGE commenting on this. From an argument perspective I see no reason against this at all. Potential arguments: "This isn't CoD" WTF? You're a dumbass. Making this game have more persistence makes it anything but CoD. "This isn't an MMO, go back to WoW" True, this is an army sim. Setting up bases and adding persistence only adds to the sim experience "Kiddies would box themselves in and live like that" Not really. Also, this happens in any zombie apocalypse. You find shelter. They'd still have to go out to hunt for food etc. "I'm still a retard who thinks this shouldn't be added" Why the feck not? Thank you for your time and patience.
