Try this, if that doesn't work then it is probably a hardware problem. Does ARMA 2 launch okay by itself? If it does then try reinstalling DayZ, or maybe using an alternate launcher like PlayWithSix? If none of these work then try checking this out: http://taw.net/forums/t/4856.aspx -

This all sounds absolutely epic, I can imagine the feeling of walking into a house and seeing blood splattered over the walls and floor and then that feeling of paranoia about what is going to happen next. I'd also become an absolute neat-clean-freak with that dirty and bloody hands thing. -

Bleeding not indicating, can't be healed

If you don't see blood physically coming out of your character, then you may have an infection, there is a chance you can get them from zombie hits. Edit: Also, currently the debug monitor is a bit screwed up, and whenever you have it turned on, all of the icons in the bottom right will appear green and will not change, so try turning your debug monitor off. -

In my eyes, if you're between me, and my destination, then you need to die. You can't trust anyone in DayZ, so why wait for the other person to shoot you first? If you don't think you can trust the guy, then kill him. Mostly just for teh lulz though. -

Sure i'm up for this to be implemented. The thoughts of using cigs as a currency, as a signal of being friendly, or even as someone said, putting one in someone's mouth before they die as a show of respect make me think this would be a good idea. Also, I think this would be a good thing to perhaps fool thermal sights using the smoke from it?

NOOBHERE Possibly stupid question, but can I grab ARMA from Steam and play DayZ?

Don't do it from Steam atm, Valve haven't bought enough CD keys from Bohemia, so they've oversold them and anyone that has just bought it cannot play it because of this. So buy it from anywhere but steam. -

I got attacked by this thing at Black Lake, I tried to empty a mag from the Dinner Bell in it's direction, but it's either none of them hit, or it survived them, I couldn't tell.
