Maybe we have a different idea of what 'duping' is mate because to me it's pretty obvious and commonplace on every server I've been on. Finding tent cities and destroying them is my hobby in this game. Example, I have an M4A1 SD and seven magazines. I got to my tent, place the weapon and ammunition in there. I save the tent and then remove. I go about my merry way and come back after a restart still wielding the same weapon. Open my tent, surprise, it's an M4A1 and seven magazines of ammunition. And when people have thirty tents doing this? Shit gets a bit ridiculous.

Back to killing Wookies on sight? Standard operation procedure to me.

I love the night time in DayZ. Even without NVGs on a nice moonlit night you can make out targets out to a hundred or so metres. And like you said how cloud cover affects the lighting in the game is very well done. I've been playing on hardcore server where you can only play first person with no crosshairs and the immersion is just so thorough I've stayed up way too late too many nights now...

If/when the dupong of items is removed and players have to once again move into the dangerous zones to seek out even the most basic of supplies we're going to see an increase in the conflict. Players will once again be fighting over the bare essentials and vying for control of the good loot spawn locations. I really just don't see any reason how you can stop people simply killing one another even as it stands currently. Some people just want more kills, others just don't want to take the chance of getting tricked and shot in the back (or worse a hatchet!) and kill anyone they don't know. It's a pretty realistic representation of how the apocalypse will look like and I love it. So if DayZ becomes a reality, stay the hell out of my barn!

Imagine if it actually rendered some of the gear we force upon these faithful steeds and added that weight to the equation... Three rifles, three dozen magazines a piece, two backpacks, enough meat and soft drink for a Grand Final get together and still enough room for two! Amazing! I too would like to see some for of "reset ATV" option that would simply cause the vehicle to respawn on it's wheels. I've found as many quads as I've tipped I reckon... Like thirty. lol.

They just need to stop the duping of items and there will be much better game balance and people WILL worry over losing their gear. Simple dupe fix? Make tents and vehicles auto save everytime you close the inventory screen so you can't place, save and take. Bam.

Well that isn't exactly helping mate... A mate and I had a hacker appear in front of us in a Military Offroad. I basically hung my head and lowered my weapon because I thought we were boned. The bloke gets out saying friendly and not to shoot "but not that it will do any good." Over TS I'm telling my mate to alt-f4 whilst I distract him... Then the hacker asks if we want anything else. He was giving us the car and put ammunition in the back for both our weapons and told us to have fun and left the server. Dafuq.

I found five quads last night - three of which were "hidden" by other players - and stole some group's Ural full of AM rifles. Stuff 'em.

My first was a double homicide and I still smile at how fast they ran when they heard the warning burst. <3 MK 48.

Griefing people who are most likely exploiting the tent dupe? Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of assholes. I go camp hunting all the time. When I find one I always take any GPS units, NVGs or Range Finders there, save the tents and dump that shit a few hundred metres away. Find the gear yourself and play the game the way it's meant to be play. Or last night, there was a tent city 30+ tents with most weapons. Announced Server Restart in thirty minutes... I leave the weapons in the tents and drop all the ammo and save them. Ah I wish I could hear their rage.

Currently a M249 SAW magazine which is 200 x 5.56x45mm rounds only takes up two inventory spaces. So unless they are nerfed to take up more space or unable to be broken down to single rounds I can't see the point in listing shippers of ammunition larger than them.

I'd love to be able to take wheels off vehicles. Find a vehicle or two stacked together? I'll take the best one, all their spare parts and remove the wheels and take fuel out of the second. Troll and roll.

I'd like a global stats system that kept track of each life I had lived in DayZ including things like kills, murders, game slaughtered, blood lost/recovered, time alive (game time and real time). Weapon/item progression maybe. Just something so that even when I do succumb to that bandit's bullet I have some record of my achievements. I love starting with nothing and getting my gear back and fighting players for even the lousiest of loot.

I always thought there should be an option to combine magazines, yes but also a split ammunition and a magazine system. So the magazines become a seperate entity and you can find just boxes of certain ammunition types. Example you find an M4A1 in 5.56x45mm NATO and you empty your STANAG magazine in an engagement but rather than dropping it, retain it. Then with a shipper or say a hundred rounds of 5.56x45mm ammo you can refill your magazines to be reused. And make these boxes if they take up one space hold like a hundred rounds or something. So yes you could have a few hundred rounds on your person but only two loaded magazines that can be readily used. Dunno, thoughts?

Maybe I missed something but what is wrong with Green Mountain? I've never been there because of graphical glitches currently but why all the hate/fear?

What rifle is that you're using? A FAL?

And he mentioned moving from his tent to the eastern fire house. Putting a tent near Cherno is pretty stupid IMO. Hell, I can count the minutes I've actually spent in Cherno on two hands, I've always booked it north to greener pastures rather than risk that meat grinder. Plus DRM? Please, M249 ZombieSaw for life.
