I found a M24 in the Balota medical tents last night. Didn't think anything good ever spawned there... Still doesn't!

It won't save mate. Gear left in debug plains is supposed to respawn. I parked my first chopper 12km out and when I logged in after restart... I had to run 12km back with no food and one can of coke. Found heaps of animals but didn't have any wood! Ah.... Never again...

I often server hop the sniper hill just to drill some bandit fuck.

I find fresh tents with only ONE save work too. But our vehicles stay where we leave them. Only our helicopter keeps reverting back to Skalisty. So I set up tents last night with the parts to get it going now EACH TIME I WANT TO USE IT. Lordy lordy.

Sadly mine is the same and it doesn't have the northern forests on it. Where all the good stuff is!

Let me guess you play on near full servers that always have players in them and as such, attract hackers? At least play on a low pop server to get your gear and swap over to another if you want some PVP. I get hacked maybe once every two days. Yeah it's annoying but I just crawl my way back up and find even better gear than last time. I often forget how exciting it is crawling around zombie infested areas with no weapon, food or water and have to exfiltrate the area unseen or turn into a running man.

I know a lot of people bad mouth it but Kamenka is my favourite spawn. There are numerous deer stands to check as you head north then cut east towards Bor and got north once again. If you don't have a decent weapon and ammunition by then I'm sorry but you've got really bad luck! Best yet, secure some canteens, hunting knife, matches and a hatchet and any gun you can find. You now have the means to survive outside of major settlements and head north to find player camps and steal their gear! Much more profitable and then if you record the location you can always come back in future and take whatever else you fancy. if you're really lucky you might find a vehicle stash somewhere like so; Not pictured is the UAZ which came flying in loaded full of players. Que MK 48 raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaape.

Heh yeah I love reading stories about people's experiences in DayZ. Sounds like you had a hectic night! I can't get enough of that sudden sense of dread you feel when you see a player or start taking fire. No other game has made other players feel as dangerous as DayZ.

I enjoy KNOWING I can't just go and grab gear from tents I know on certain servers and having to really duke it out. Last night I got hacked and had to respawn on my normal server amongst all the sniping. Remembered there was a tent on the nearby island, swam out and retrieved A+ gear and swam back. Good as new. I really do enjoy exploring towns for the basics though but having that safety net can ruin the game experience.

If you're shy of STANAG SD magazines, check industrial spawns. I often find them amongst the other goodies.

lol been there before. Just survived my last time when taking fire in a deer stand. The dive must have saved my life because they thought I was probably still in the stand whilst my mates took them out.

Favourite weapon. Only downfall is that when you start shooting, you are pretty much using a loudspeaker for your location.

if VRMMOs like Sword Art Online ever become a reality, DayZ would be the perfect candidate for it imo.

I love the UAZ to be the honest. It just revs it's tits off all the time. However someone stole my UAZ last night and I am on the warpath. God help whoever stole it from me.
