I wanted to see apocalyptic Chernagorsk.. the crown jewel of Chernarus. I wanted to meet interesting and stimulating people of an ancient culture... and kill them. I wanted to be the first kid on my block to get a confirmed kill!

I find the Glock is the best for being the most common since it can take any of the actual 9x19mm pistol magazines, even the sub-sonic rounds for the M9SD allowing you to shoot zombies without pulling agro. It also has a flash light which can pay for itself when looting at night. But I will drop my Glock for an M9SD any day of the week.

The last few nights on the Namalsk server I play on I had been creating a Great Wall of Land Bridge and was nearly finished... Then apparently at like 6am in the morning some blokes I knew took it down. FUCK. So many tank traps...

I remember playing on a public hive server (name plates off, first person only and no crosshairs) a few months ago when I was sniping into Stary like a top bloke when all these markers just started appearing everywhere. They were green diamonds with chevrons in them, which if anyone here has played ArmA is the tag placed over friendly units on low difficulties to prevent friendly fire. And these even showed on the map and I could see markers moving around... I didn't stay long because I saw three markers moving at high speed into Stary and wasn't sticking around to see if they also had the same bug/glitch/hack.

Mate, I think the needless bumping should probably stop. Yeah, yeah it was funny but it wasn't that good. What, those guys were like 150-200m away max and shot with AM rifles? Woo hoo.

Was probably Magic's group anyway. They farm the shit out of AII and combat log all the time to remove zombie agro to hunt players. GG mate.

Yeah groups are a must. This isn't a solo gamers domain. So even if you do get taken out, you can most often rely upon my comrades to either protect your corpse until you get back or to at least grab the more important gear to get back later. And obviously if you're in a group you can take out the hostiles. I'm playing Namalsk on a private server now and it is very rare to see a player by themself. Most groups are somewhere between four to eight members and my group can usually at most only field five out of seven people on any given night. And firefights are rampant. I remember the night I joined the server and met up with some friends, we had at least five major firefights with both sides taking casualties. So much damn fun.

The term Bambi I'm familiar with refers to the fawn (baby deer) that is young and helpless, eg freshspawns with no equipment or weaponry who are prime targets for all the totes awesome southern coast "bandits". Bunch of pussies.

Most embarrassing death: Cruising along on a quad near the Solnichy petrol station. I had just planted a satchel charge at the fuel tank and was looking back to observe the explosion when all of a sudden I start flipping and turning as I've hit a bridge. The ATV sails maybe a hundred metres into the air? All I can think of is to at least blow the fuel tank and go out in style... Blew the tank and as the quad in the ground it exploded and killed me. Was fucking hilarious but embarrassing because my mates were watching and I had just given them a lecture on bridges and ATVs after they had rolled two in the last hour. Best kill: Six people in a bus on the move eight hundred metres away with three shots from a M107. The funniest thing is seeing the explosion then hearing it a second or so later. Longest kill (approx): 1.3km with an AS50 into Stary Sobor from the NW. Longest life: 87 days. Would only say twenty days were played before I had a break after our clan was decimated. First night I logged back in with my gear I cop a bullet from an Elecktro Hill sniper because I was respawned on the coast. Murders: 22 was the biggest streak I had. Luckiest kill: encountered a bandit when I only had a hand grenade and he was actively searching for me. I threw the grenade at my feet when he found me and gave chase only to be killed when it exploded.

Probably a Coyote Pack or something. GPS perhaps.

I don't count killing fresh spawns as Banditry. True banditry begins in the northern reaches. I'm the sort of patient hunter who'll scope out a position for several hours as long as I have the supplies to do so. You'd be surprised the things you see if you just stop and look around. I remember a few months ago I was sniping the hell out of Stary Sobor - mainly other would be snipers - for about five hours straight on this high cap server. I saw something like eight different vehicles pass through and at least forty different players. That said I only shot when I knew I could get away with it and nothing says "mission accomplished" then busting a bus with six people in it with the M107.

There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter. Just love that feel of the hunt.

A survivor. They fight for the beans. As a bandit, my compatriots and I here steal those hard won beans.

I think the radio should simply allow the Side Chat to be enabled for those with a radio. And then have the multitude of different channels so you can set them with your clan mates. So even if a bandit - for me it's a bandit hunter... - has a radio as well, he would have to be scanning a lot of different channels to try and stumble across our communications.

Nothing directly DayZ related. I recall an odd dream a few weeks ago where I was scavenging for supplies in a city at night and encountered some zombies. But then in the next instant I'm hiding in a warehouse as a UAV searches the streets and dices up some survivors with some form of laser grid... Had plenty of sniping or just dreams where I am in combat though.
