    Hrub trade marked his name?

...Shot in the dark here, but I think he might be talking about Shrub Rocketeer™, the player.

Famous Quotes That Apply To DayZ..Post Here

"I put bandage for you Pig <3" -Shrub Rocketeer™ I consider this a famous quote, and so should every Forumite!

Medic here. Everyone is starving to death

That's right, food found! I'm seeing something like 8 Metal Wires there, that's an average of 32 rabbit legs assuming 4 attempts per wire, and 50% success rate.

I seem to remember in the Mod this could happen if you got hurt - you needed painkillers to soothe the shakes. Maybe try that? Other than that, no ideas.

Zombies I find all over, each time the server resets so do they. However, useful items are completely non-existent almost everywhere by now. I'm sure there are the usual loot pile-ups somewhere remote, but I spent 1 hour checking Stary and Novy Sobor today and there was not a single piece of food to be found, no weapons save the usual hoes/hammers/cattle prods, and no useful sundries (matches, knives, rope, etc). Any fresh-spawn coming to locations like this are going to be totally out of luck. So I went back to the southerly woods to hunt some more game, I have a backpack full of steaks and I hope to donate some to any poor unfortunate I might come across. Still, chances are they'll try and punch me for my gear..

    Katyusha truck. Pretty please? B)

Death in Dayz, how do you meet it?

I don't really feel my contribution to the poll is a good representation of the average player - I go fully self sufficient ASAP and live the quiet life in the woods from there on in. My player interaction count is very, very low but when I die it's always to other players. Have never once starved to death, and zombies are nowhere to be found in the woods (usually), so... yeah. Last death was several months ago on Experimental.

    Trading Backpack's in a Flash

I don't agree with this any more than I agree with the speed at which a player can completely strip and swap clothes with a dead character, which takes about six sweeps of the mouse and <10s. No to insta-changing backpack inventories. It should take time.

I have a question for YOU

Happy to help. And don't mind Rags, he's usually like that.

I have a question for YOU

I can confirm that the Leather Sewing Kit will repair the vest up to Worn status.

    I suck at killing zombies

I kill Zeds with my fishing pole, any weapon you can find - even a hammer or wrench - can kill Zeds with a little practice. Hit for the head = dead Zed.

    Trapping

Punji pits, with the sharpened stakes smeared with pig or human excrement, were well known for their effects in Vietnam. Even if you survived the physical wounds inflicted, you'd be almost guaranteed to get a nasty infection and thus removed from the war effort - at great logistical cost as you'd need 2+ people to move you effectively, plus vehicle support, doctors, and eventually being flown home. Getting a horribly infected wound in DayZ would be a serious trial. You could achieve similar effects with bear traps smeared with excrement. Incidentally, bear traps were a firm favourite of mine in the DayZ Mod.

    Bow Drilling

You'd use the embers to light the Tinder => Kindling => Wood => Bigger/more wood => etc. Edit: This idea gets a thumbs-up. I enjoy the survivalist aspect of the game. I bet Whyherro123 has some input on this subject.
