Yeah I get into the lobby and get auto kicked as well when attempting to log into a Lingor server. Somethings wrong, file location or something else, too lazy to work it out atm. I'm sure it'll be corrected through a DC update or someone else can post the fix.

Restart DC to apply the download? I'm DLing it from DC now as well, been looking forward to trying it out and even considered asking dotjosh to implement support for it. I was pleasantly surprised to see todays update.

I run an OC'd 9800gtx (Inorite?) and I still get good performance on 90% of the servers I play on. I have optimized settings as much as possible. When I tend to get lag, it's almost always due to the server not being restarted regularly. Also, as much as people complain about it, I have NEVER seen any artifacts ingame, so I really won't complain about an outdated card.

No I didn't do that. There's a really funny story though and it involves her killing me. I won't let her live it down. =)

So, I was on 27 or so days today, myself. Well, that was until a certain someone (cough Duckie cough) was trying to fix her keys so she could toggle run/walk mode. What happens? Fumbling around and somehow manages to lob the lone grenade she has tucked in her backpack at me as I was prepping a fire for food. All I hear is..."Oh shit...(I fall dead, then)....Oh shit, sorry". It takes me a minute to figure out wtf happened since I died 10ft from her, I was more in shock and disbelief, never coming to terms with the possibility she 'naded me.

No server is hacker proof. First day I started playing, very firs server I joined, within 20mins, everyone died. However you need to consider that generally speaking, your odds of running into one go way down when you play for long periods of time on lower pop servers. Find one to eventually call "home", and get to know the regulars. Keep an eye on the server list and be wary of new names.

Exactly, what are you hoping to accomplish? This thing needs to be retitled, "How noobs deal with hackers". It's just so bad on every level. Log out, switch servers, there are 1,000 better ways to combat this then what was shown in the video. It's unfortunate but Arma was made to be a very modded game, which lends itself to easy access to hackers. This problem is being fixed in the standalone by not allowing the heavy modding inherent in the Arma1 engine. DayZ atm is an alpha, play it, have fun, when this happens, go elsewhere. Protip: hackers do this because they WANT you to give them this exact kind of attention. Guess what hackers don't like? Empty servers and no one to give them attention.

Whats funny is how the guy thinks they're invincible hackers, yet wastes ALL of his ammo on them. An even funnier note is that he keeps pressing vehicle chat to talk to them..... Guy filming this is a complete noob.

I've found both as50 and m107 at heli sites. I've seen 2x ghillie suits in the same building. I've been scouting in the boonies to discover tent cities. To me, discovering someone elses "home base" is the most heart racing and exciting. There's a much more greater sense of curiousity and danger. Camps.....our only semblance of Christmas post-apocolypse. Except when you open your present there's the chance to get your head blown the fuck off! How can it get anymore exciting?!

If you wanted a solid rifle, you should go for the FAL FN, great range, sick damage (8,000), only downside is it's loud as fuck. Between the two you found, the M4 is superior. It's shorter profile won't become an issue when indoors in CQC, and I believe all the M4's come with some type of scope or attachment. I've had an M16a2 for a week and been looking for an M4 cco sd, finally got sick of toting the thing and switched to an AK kobra. The M4s > M16s in Dayz imho.

They have to fully stop to melee you, so when they get close enough to attack, you'll notice they start to stop+start their melee, then begin to run again. When they get close enough to do that, you have a few uninterupted seconds to turn around and pop them in the head.

Noobs find tents and spam video links hoping for likes and subs should get spammed disliked. Btw, you're welcome for the dislikes.

Welp, just happened to me. Lost coyote pack, m107, m1a3 cco, nvg, gps....the works. Logged on in debug plains, could move around but had nothing in my inventory. Logged on another server, end up on beach with ghillie, no pack, no gear. All my stats are intact, but 0 gear. Time to rebuild I guess. =/

I destroyed 2 svd camos yesterday with 10 mags. I also dropped 3 nvg and 1 gps on the ground for bag space. I found a beartrap yesterday and just placed it in the barn I found it in. I have yet to find a radio or mt dew, everythign else I have seen to much of.

God listening to the kids in this video made me want to shoot myself. It sounded like they just discovered Dayz. Complete noobs.

I would've run up and given those little kids my L85. Listening to them freak out and excited would've been 100x more amusing. Axing a few 7yr olds isn't amusing in the least....when they're 12yr+, they're fair game.

You know what? It doesn't matter to me at all, 90% of the time I'm sporting a ghillie so who cares?

I haven't logged in since Friday. I don't mind dying to a player, but to a bug, after obtaining what I have, I'll pass until it's fixed.

If server hopping was such an issue, the simplest solution would be to disable character saves beyond their originating server. Go to a different server, start fresh. Same thing that every other MMO does. This would completely disable ghosting, server hopping for loot, etc.

Found 3 in a single day. Two of those came out of the same building.
