middle west camp SW camp there are significant terrain differences: MW camp: surrounded by forrest, apart from the road and camp area, no flat terrain SW camp: hillside with forrest, coast side open and flat terrain

yes, you're absolutely right. i didn't read his stuff correctly, even missed the gas station part.

you are at/near to the south westeren evacuation camp. the sign says something like: Mirolsaw 27 (km) Kirowograd 63 (km) Primorsk 72 (km) none of those towns is on the Chernarus+ Map, and the closest is 27km away, which is further away then any ppint on the map. so we can be pretty sure the sign guides drivers for destinations outside the map. if you and your freinds can't find each other, you should make sure you are on the same server, if you are and still have problems, find a landmark (like the bridge between the camp and the gas station) and meet there. you might as well be at the evacuation camp a few km west of NWAF, unless you can find the coast. some more landscape you help fith finding out.

camo buildings are a bit buggy, so many bug abusing a-holes glitched themselfs into the walls and killed players. so now, without lootspawns setup, there shouldn't be a reason for many players to go inside. normal wrecks (not crash sites) now only spawn items when they have movable parts, and since no military wreck has any they don't spawn (just as some civilian car wrecks).

anyone who realy knows what he's talking about can correct me if im wrong. i think black face bug is related to the dynamic shading, as the bug came up when the shading was introduced. the white textures seem to be more a problem of of textures/high definition modles not loading properly (getting close sometimes fixes it). i am realy sure those problems will be fixed soon, but we all know the game is still WIP, so i don't expect it anytime soon.

does anyone else have problems, with inventory update, especially when eating? eaten food just goes back to the slot and can not be removed. swicht somewhat works, but also causes trouble

Rule #1: never get attached to your gear. i know it's hard when you found many nice things and die senselessly (bug/ COD kiddie), but the game is permadeath, so deal with it. oh and dying on stairs hasn't been a thing in a while now, so bringing this up only means you are not informed about the development. if you are not just trolling (which i think you are), and willing to educate yourself, read the status reports. maybe start around the beginning of 2014. oh, and you are obviously not on a very complex job, ask people who build large buildings (factory/airport) how long shit can take. taking time doesn't mean incompetence. writing stuipd stuff usually means though.

try removing you "DayZ" folder in you documents folder (C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents). i suggest you make a backup before in case it's not helping, as it will reset you whole settings. oh and remove all startup parameters for DayZ in steam. that's the new server browser, if you've seen other screenshots, it's propably older ones.

1. yes they dont spawn weapons atm 2. no weapons have now military spawns until the problem with crashsites is solved (CLE controll of weapon spawns doesn't work for crashssites) i suggest you go search tisy military base. i've seen all weapons exept for the VSS there

i know about the group.. my intention was to find a proper ammount of players (baty didn't tell how many would be apropriate) and do a one-time stresstesting event with multiple vehicles. i currently lack motivation for playing dayz, but i would totally support the test.

how many guys from the forums would be willing to do some testing together peacefully? @Baty Alquawen how many players would you concider to be stresstesting for this? so how many would we need for this to be realy helpful?

plenty of fresh spawned military weapons have magazines attached. i think the problem you have is, that you hardly find "fresh" weapons. lets assume you find an AK74 with one mag, and you find a second one with a mag attached, what would you do? i guess you would take the mag out of it and leave the weapon behind. next guy to come will just see another AK without mag, even though it spawned with one. i think the spawns only need minor tweaking for most magazines/weapons. but i haven't seen a single M1911 mag in 100+hrs 0.61.

i think even a single person could do that in the given time. a group in 1-2 days. and maybe they don't even stay one one server. if it's exp. some servers have persistence off, so with some good timing (after restart tisy and all other bases are full of stuff) you shouldn't run into problems. -
seems like infected are dealing more damge to my clothing. might as well be imagination, because im not use to be hit by infected... for everyone that cares, i think i have found a way to launch the x64 version from the desktop shortcut: add "-exe DayZ_x64.exe" as startup parameter in steam

sprint around and make a fire as fast as possible in a dry location (eg. barn). if you stop sprinting for a moment when you are wet you will cool out realy quick. so it's best not to stop unless you are gathering sticks and bark. the fire will dry you up first, them warm you up. then you could wait until it stops raining. or go out again and travel a bit further and repeat the procedure. if you react quickly enough being cold and wet, or even cold and drenched can be easily survived. but if you first react when you are at a body temperature of 35°C (freezing orange) you will drop into hypothermia (starting at 34.5°C) in no time and loose blood. Normal freezing (yellow) starts at 35.8°C and leaves you enough time to find shelter and materials for a fire.

from fun to pretty much unplayable

find the gravel texture on the ground, search for stones, find one after some time, craft stone knife problem solved. and it only takes on slot, so it's better than normal knife for most purposes anyways. if you get to know the map a bit and move away from the eastern coast (southeren coast should be fine) you should have little to no problems surviving environmental hazards. i last time i died to anything but players was at least 100h of playing ago. -
About tents full of gear (private or public) and loot to find on map

afiar items in storage containers (barrels, tents, cars, droped backpacks, etc.) or player inventorys don't count for loot spawns. on the other hand, tents barrels and such won't spawn if the server maximum is reached. i guess you could still bring those from other servers to expand your 20 tents base. -
the problem with this was, that it even occured with players that logged out in a place where they were unreachable for the wolves. imagine you log off in a closed building, but get aggroed by wolves you didn't even notice. sure if you get attacked by wolves out in the woods and logg of it should kill you. but not because you had the aggro, but because your character stays ingame for a short time and they tear you apart in that time

food was an example for the need of having an "unrealistic" feature in order to make the game a hardcore survival game. if you want a realistic weapon wear system, you might as well leave this out completly. i mean you eat like 3 meals in 24h so if you wanted this realistic you would only have to eat every 8h of playing. why bother having to eat, if it only occurs every 8h, that would be clearly a waste of programming time. i'm no weapons expert, but i think that weapons are able to fire thousands of rounds without wearing significantly. you will most likely have to clean them from time to time let's say 200 shots for the mosin) to keep them functional. i guess you won't need more than 40rounds for a firefight in the game (unless you are surpressing someone, but if you propably don't do that effectively with a bolt action rifle.) i don't know about you, but i don't have firefights often. Let's imagine you have one every 1h. You would still need to play for 5h before this feature kicks in. So why bother having it in at all? maybe you don't want those features realistic at all, but as long as you are refering to the real world, i just guess you want it "realistic". And why would i "defend" "bugged out mechanics as features"? basically because i think this is 95% working as intended and you just don't know how to cope with it. If you can't accept that the need to clean your weapon is totally intended you should change the game you are playing instead of demanding the game to change for you. Maybe you will be lucky and find a softcore modded version of DayZ sometime in the future, but i think that the need to clean weapons fits with the rest of the game so i don't need this to be changed.
