do you want to build it yourself? (what i'd recommend to everyone that can safely operate a screwdriver) where do you even live (so locals can post links from shops) the prices i post are based on german stores, and the dollar ones are estimated, i don't really know how many USD you get for an € (and i don't want to google it :) ) do you have a monitor? have you got any parts left? like PSU, HDD/SSD, Tower etc. if not get a 500W+ PSU to have some reserves (and better efficiency at full system load) (a very good one (80 PLUS Titanium) ca 140€/180$, a good one ca. 75€/100$) and as HDD/SSD get an SSD with at least 200GB (better more) (ca. 100€/140$ or even less) and an HDD with 3TB (ca. 90€/130$) you don't want a system without a SSD, trust me. Good towers are avalible for less then 100€/100$ it realy depends on what you want. for the main parts: currently, i'd recommend an AMD Ryzen CPU (like R5 1600X) (ca. 230€/300$) with a decent mainboard (ca. 80€/100$) and 8-16 GB RAM (ca 80€/100$ per 8GB) (see the QVL of the mainboard you choose, so that it's 100% compatible). you might want to use a custom cooler, they should be around 20€/30$ Ryzen CPUs have more cores (including SMT) and that will probably turn out very useful in the future. if you want Intel, get an Core i5. if you have money left, think about getting a better CPU, as it will most likely stick with you much longer than the GPU. a better MB and higher RAM clock should also help. for the GPU: currently the prices for most current gen GPUs are very high, because the Ethereum miners are buying them like crazy. so i think depending on your needs a Nvidia GTX 1070 (450€/600$) or an AMD RX 580 8GB (ca. 300€/450$). the Nvidia is faster but also more expensive. if you would like to go for a high end system there is no way around Nvidia at the moment, but i don't see the need for it if you stick to full HD. AMD release some good GPUs in the coming days, but i can't really tell how good they will be and for what price.

i think i have found the problem. sometimes (often) damaged vehicle parts don't update their state in the inventory. i've seen many wheels that were completly torn up, but still showed "pristine" in the inventory. now the same bug happens for hoods and doors. and you can't attach ruined hoods and doors to a vehicle, even if your game shows them to have a different state. try finding a freshly spawned truck and take the parts from it. i'm sure it should work.

i'm pretty sure it should be possible attach hoods and doors in current stable version. it is working in current exp. version for sure, because i did it yesterday. just have the part in your hands and walk up to the place where the part would normally be located. you should get the option in the action menu without problems.

dayz will run just fine as long as steam keeps it up to date. there is no need to run any 3rd party programs (apart from Battleye what is launched automatically) in order to play the game.

sticky post in this forum section. i'm not sure if BIS should monitor violations themselves, maybe they should. but on the other hand that would mean lots of effort. imo, they should make the GSPs enforce the rules more strictly. after all, they are the ones that are hosting the servers and should have the tools to find violations very easily.

why 1440x900? if this is you native resolution: do you at least use supersampling?

i think it's only ALMOST correct. from my experience (observed exp debug some versions ago) you regain: blood with +1/tick when energized (dark or bright green) and not hydrated blood with +3/tick when energized (bright green) and hydrated (dark or bright green) health with +1/tick when energized (bright green) and hydrated (dark or bright green) and blood=5000

i shouldn't have to ask, but did you validate your game files? issues like missing textures often are casues by corrupted files and even the crashes could be related. if you have sucessfully validated your files and are still experiencing the issues file a report at feedback.bistudio.com

Who does decide what is beeing added changed in map design? I assume it's mostly the game designers and producers, but how much can you bring in your own creativity in terms of map layout? When you are designing a compound, can you request new buildings when you feel, that it just wouldn't look and feel right with the current choice of buildings? Do you rather build towns, cities or nature? If you were to decide to add one big thing to Chernarus, what would you add? How much do engine limitations (no running water, lack of support of underground areas) hinder you creating the Chernarus of your dreams? How do the chernarussian postmen find the right houses without named roads and house numbers? What are the greates challenges when you are creating a belivable map? Would you reveal all the little (and big) secrets Chernarus has to offer for us?

that teddy bear is realy cool, any chance we can expect them to come as DayZ merchandise?

i think this is the bug that is causing not cooling down: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T122572 and you only get wet when you move in water, it's not ideal, but it's the way it is right now (i'm sure it will be changed when higher priority tasks are dealt with) about developer presence: there is a difference between being present to the public and answering to all private messages you get. so don't say they aren't present becasue you don't receive answers to some low priority bug reports.

idea is nice, but it would only work on private shards. (otherwise some servers would have tons of guns and others would have non, because players took them to other servers) and even there, if one dedicated group finds all weapons and stashes them in a nice hiding place guns would be pretty much unavalible for 95+% of the players

he is wrong. when you get the "helathy" status you are at 5000 blood and 5000 health. easy to see in exp. branch. blood<5000 and health < 5000, but hydrated and bright energized: no status in inventory, but blood regenerating 3/sec. blood=5000 and health < 5000, but hydrated and bright energized: healing status in inventory and health regenerating 1/sec. blood=5000 and health = 5000, "Healthy" nevertheless, i don't think this was more than a normal (weird) bug.

your "rainbow" is just a graphical artifact (a glitch) and might be infinitly long. the reason why you lost the connection, was because of the server restart that was announced several times. the open landscape outside the actual map has no end, it will just repeat itself (afaik). i think you might be able to make a camp there, but don't expect it to be persistent.

the ladder is the right way now. if you look on the top floor, you have much less space on the old side. the only problems are, that the animation is still the old (propably because it gets changed with animations update anyways) and that you get a litle stuck in the corner.

yes, you're absolutely right. i didn't read his stuff correctly, even missed the gas station part.

you are at/near to the south westeren evacuation camp. the sign says something like: Mirolsaw 27 (km) Kirowograd 63 (km) Primorsk 72 (km) none of those towns is on the Chernarus+ Map, and the closest is 27km away, which is further away then any ppint on the map. so we can be pretty sure the sign guides drivers for destinations outside the map. if you and your freinds can't find each other, you should make sure you are on the same server, if you are and still have problems, find a landmark (like the bridge between the camp and the gas station) and meet there. you might as well be at the evacuation camp a few km west of NWAF, unless you can find the coast. some more landscape you help fith finding out.
