I most of you are exaggerating the final vehicle usage - it will require a team several days worth of playing to get the parts needed to get a vehicle operational (unlike experimental which is found fully working). With this in mind I suspect the majority of the populous will be on foot, and not want to be penalised as reducing move speed just restricts player movement around the map, something that actually needs encouraging. Plus, the advtanges of vehicles are mobile storage, transport protection, weather protection etc not map speed. Otherwise the balance of power shifts too in favour towards those that are willing to invest in in time acquiring one as you just shoot around the map after each restart sweeping up the decent loot from crash spawns relatively risk free, this makes its near impossible for newspawns and lonewolfs to aquire this gear. TLDR: Vehicles advantages are not about map speed, they're about mobile storage and protection from elements/players etc

Im not sure i even want vehciles because If they introduce them, then they need to introduce ways to counter them, i.e. RPG's, IED's, anti-material rifles etc. If i wanted that kind of play experience, i'd just go play BF4

I believe theres a standard base amount of damage any gun does. with pistols is 500, rifles 2000 etc, Then its modified by the type of round, velocity etc to come to a more varied figure.

Pro-tip: Look at the time of the server. Never join the ones stating it being on/near the hour. Look for the ones 10mins+ into the hour, that way you know its all up and running smoothly.

My normal runs. (i believe they've removed some spawns since i did that map) Usually do them on empty servers. Found one yesterday, got my first combat knife in 500+hrs, pristine too :)

I think its interesting you really got 55-/+ hits from a zed and your a dead man regardless of time span between hits. I reckon i'm already on 20+. Certainly no more stand up fights with zeds anymore. And what about all the gates and doors that send you flying when you open them? they affecting this hidden stat too?

Its got to be a worrying that the dayz team are literally going to run out of money, if its going to take another 2 years to finish. Sure they'll be a small surge on the full release. But a game, based on almost 10 year old technology at the time, isn't really going to be that attractive given the what imagine will be slow ponderous death of the dayz marketing wheel. I guess this is the honest reason why they're going console, because simply put, theres no other way they could afford the continued development any other way without some light at the end of the tunnel.

I got 3 drum mags. But still no magazine for my 45. Infact i've only actually found 1 pistol mag and it was for the makarov, which i didn't both to collect as I find harsh language more lethal than the makarov.

Huge quantities of 45 ACP and SKS ammo at military spawns. Infact drum mags appear to be quite common now, i've got 3, never had 3 before.
