UPDATE: Server is having a hive wipe in the next 10days. NOW has never been the perfect time to come onboard! Due to a recent server upgrade a rare opportunity to Join PDR which is normally by invitation only has arisen. We have a large and active community. The forums have recently been upgraded and offer excellent communication tools, including built in chat and teamspeak. The server has a unique southern safe zone, with survivor camp where PvP is prohibited. I run a Dayz server with some pretty awesome features and tight community and thought it may be of interest to those aged 18+. Summarise the USP's so you don't need to read the wall of text below: International userbase, Ping US 50-70, Germany: 30-40, N & E europe: 40-60, UK: 10-30 Vanilla Dayz experience, with whitelist, with no killing in Cherno/Elektro & without scriptors Great active community, modern forum and website integrates into game server (kill feed, shop etc) Veteran with 3rd person on, everything else off. The server is completely community run meaning the community vote on its settings, map and rules and council is in place to represent the users best interests, and jury on grievances. Leaving admin to administrate the server soley. It's hosted in the UK on a top of the range twin processor Xeon dedicated server and 100mb/s connection. Current settings are [veteran] with all settings off. Map is Chernarus. All spawn points are moved to the south of the map. A dedicated non-PvP area exists on the southern coast that give survivors a meeting point, as well are removing the dreaded snipering of newspawns in the two major cities of Elektro and Cherno. We have a decent forum, teampeak and profiles are directly integrated into in game characters. And we get direct support from Crosire. I just want noted for the record, that we have been more than welcoming on this server. We gave all the support i could, a senior member was even given a senior position on the council. When evidence was not forth coming on your claim that two of our (founding) members were cheating, i trusted you and put it to a poll to remove those two people. And when you guys, eventually, all voted in favor they were removed. I want it noted at this point we (burro and myself) had no relationship whats-so-ever with the two individuals. A couple of weeks later, after recieving numerous complaints from users about HsH using scripts and map tools, i apporached the two individuals previously banned for advice regarding scripting. They were honest, they taught me about whats available out there, and how it works (this is the kind of information an admin SHOULD know, otherwise how can i indentfy it?). At this point, they also said they were almost 99% certain you were cheating and suggested a way of letting them get the evidence needed, so i offered them a chance to come back on to help me proove you guys were cheating. Which you guys, unfortunately were all too happy to oblidge. Before i pressed the button on the final "evidence" capture, i asked you one last time (which was a bluff at the time): There is no denying who this aimed at. You guys replied. This hurt. When i found out you guys were cheating, the above comment hurt more than anything. To flat out lie to me, even when im throwing you a life line was a real slap in the face. We didn't enjoy having to do this. We gave you every bit a great welcome, one of your members became senior staff, you had your own forum area. In return you attempt to destroy our home, and home of the rest of the community. No one forced you to turn to cheats. Every other member on here gets on without them. To turn this around and suggest this is some way our fault then attempt to sabotage the server is really bad taste - i was well in my rights to global ban the lot of you but chose restraint, even after reading the below comment. Communication you guys sent to Burro We've not decided on what to do with luna and cal yet. But if i had my choice between a honest, open cheat. Or a cheat that lies to my face, that sits in the highest seat of authority hyprocritically trying to get others banned then i know who i'd choose. Server has been moved to GMT -2 (-3 hours reduction at the request of the community). Change was implemented at this mornings restart

Applications have been closed now as server is reaching capacity in the evenings, so invite by invitation only. If you haven't heard back, chances are you would have been rejected, likely because we already have enough of players with your style on the server. Also, of the 340 applications i've received in the last week, about 10% spell their own email address wrong, and I get them bounce back - so chances are you fit into one of those two categories.

We have a suggestions section on the forum were our community can vote on settings. So far it hasn't been suggested.

Crosire upgraded us to the latest 1.2.5.6 and arma2 beta please make sure you do the same. Vic, your friend has been added to the whitelist. feel free to give him the pasword. We migrated to a new mail account so it may have gone missing somewhere. Also, for a trial NWAB and Helo crash sites are SoS/PvP areas. Go there at your own risk. Rest of the map remains unchanged. This has been implemented to make gaining high end equipment more risky, and extend the end game.
