Sorry the taking cover in tent is to save heat loss, and reduce food/water usage, as moving into a building does now in dayz. Not suggesting its used for cover as in sandbags etc.

i recently reached the "end game" simply by stumbling across a body of a hacker. spent the next 10 in game days surviving off the land. I hadn't even fired a shot from my illegal AS50 TWS. Until yesterday i decided i needed to pop my cherry. So decided im too noob to take on the cherno/elektro bro's, so though i'd camp Komaravo and balota instead. True enough my first kill came within the hour, the second and third shortly after. Actually the most rewarding experience one-shotting someone 650m away, only bettered when you find your first weapon when you play for the first time. It doesn't matter that he's running in a straight line, with his flashlight out across the open plains. Or ghilli'd up, proning his way through the underbush, they all die the same. This cool story was bought to you by Bro corp.

there are different versions of the weapons in arma2 with various attachments. Only specific ones are designed to be used in Dayz, when you script in a non-dayz weapon it'll act as it does in arma2 whichis incompatible with the backpack. This M107 has been scripted in, the hacker got the wrong indentifier for the gun.

Yeah. Unfortunately i think the more common way of doing things are: 1. Visit undisclosed script website. 2. Spawn weapon crate.

Theres a medic thread in the survivers sub-forum. They may for frown upon giving food (they are medical proffessionals after all lol) but im sure they will help out and meet you on your server, you just log in when he anounces he's at your location to avoid unneccessary waiting/bleeding. With the amount food and options available. finding food yourself should be easy enough!

This method only allows you to spawn weapons and equipoment on load. It doesn't for instance give you the ability to run scripts so you can thunderdome someone, transport yourself or vehicles.

Last night, my 4 week old character, packing some pretty tight equipment just bugged. after ussual 10minute wait and 6 or 7 seven different loading screens i find myself in the debug plains. I disconnect, reload on cherno coast and Everythings gone, not even the starting bandages or painkillers and with a broken leg for good measure, yet my stats still show my previous values. (zero murders btw) I'll probably wait for warz or dayz standalone now. I've poured hours into this alpha and this is a real slap in the face. I actually wonder if keeping dayz running as it currently stands is doing more damage to its reputation than good being publicly active in its current state.

Im not sure how this works - i submitted a ticket on that other site. I've only been playing a day or two. Managed to find some good loot, but came at the cost of being down to 2.6k blood and hungry :( If anyones around pop ivan (north of Vyshnoye) i could use a transfusion and bite to eat. Don't think i have anything particulary rare or valuable. but you're welcome a rumage through my rucksack.
