I agree very much, but what really annoys me the most is when someone posts a thread like this and all the answer are like: "Well if you think that then you must suck at DayZ / Oh all you're saying is DayZ is too hard for you and you want to go cry to mummy... / I can play DayZ fine so I assume everyone else can play as good as me, you're a noob..." I would like to see an inventory system like S.T.A.L.K..E.R. how its all in a grid with a can of beans taking up 6 squares and a M16 taking up 18 etc. This inventory looks too cluttered and confusing with too many screens at once.

I dont know where this thread should go, but anyways I think night-time is too difficult or at least needs to be toned down a bit. A flashlight is somewhat useful other than the fact that you can't run with it or your character shakes it around like he has a seizure. Is it really that hard to run and hold a light steady? Night lasts forever and all I can manage to do is sit under a bush and eat baked beans and hope morning comes soon. I have not once lived through a whole night. Its also too dark I think, its pitch-black. Maybe in the standalone could there be some kind of lighting system? Like when theres a full moon its more of a blue light rather than pitch black. *Before you all say, 'Hmmm he seems to be complaining about the difficulty and he's crying because he lost all his stuff, we'll sure whatever, I'm not crying because I lost my stuff, I hardly have anything to lose anyway because its always night. I can get through a night with friends helping me out with resources, weapons etc, but this doesn't mean I rely on them. I know the game is meant to be like a survival game, where you have to scavenge and use tactics as if you actually were in a zombie apocalypse, but I have seen nights where I can see clear as day, but apparently on Chernarus the sun completely disappears with no moon light for 9 hours. So if you have a problem with my statement, please don't assume I am a pussy who can't play the game. I play perfectly fine. Thanks

Whats the point of trying to hunt down whoever stole it when you can go and find another one? I guess its more important if its something rare like NVG's or a good gun but after you've died, you'll have nothing anyway so by the time you round up a heap of equipment, you've already got decent stuff so I think its kinda useless.

What is yours? Mine would be when I joined a new server and headed to Cherno, it was night so I start looking for some weapons and food etc. I went inside a barn to get some loot, I found a Winchester shotgun and some ammo. Then another player pops up behind me with a flashlight, I shoot at him, he falls unconscious, then decide to finish him off when he woke. But then it turns day-time instantly and I'm teleported to a big group of other players all with sniper rifles and other pretty good weapons, then I'm teleported again and I'm at some camp place and the words 'Opa Gangnam Style' pop up on the screen and I'm like 'dafuq is this?' Then someone starts firing and I'm dead. What. The. Fack.

Well I've finally realised what I was trying to put across, yes I probably should have called this 'Better Flashlights' or something because thats really my 1 problem when I'm playing at night. I think it would be cool to blind people with flashlights and headlights but only if you're right up in their face so people can't make videos of them doing 'cross map blind-age'...

Hello, I finally manage to join a couple of servers last night, and just letting you know I SUCK really bad. I am such a noob, ok, just needed to get that out. So after I died 50 times, I went to bed. Today when I try to join it gets stuck on 'wait for host', I tried to download the beta patch thing, but when I run it, it says the version of the patch is less than the current version of ArmA I have. Also every time I start up DayZ it says 'Addon 'days_anim ' requires addon 'CA_Missions_BAF_2', It doesn't stop me from joining the game, but I don't know what it means. I am going to get the ArmA X package from Steam in a couple of days that include the BAF^ expansion, will that stop the error? Should I really worry about this too much or should I just play ArmA until the standalone is released? Thanks

I would like to be able to use your fists as melee weapons. It should be very weak but at least do something instead of having to look around for a hatchet. It should take like 10 hits to do minor damage. I also think it would be cool to make bomb traps, as rocket said there would be some kind of crafting system in the SA, you put a empty bean can, a grenade and some rope together to make a tripwire mine.

ArmA 2 is at 1.60 and OA is at 1.62

Ohh...yeah well... long story, but I have no idea where my CD-Key is and I am probably gonna have to reinstall/uninstall it to try and fix it. Then try out ArmA X and see how many bugs I get then. It also most likely has something to do with my piece of shit computer, terrible graphics card, piss-poor processor you get the idea.

I don't understand why heaps of people are saying 'OH NOOOO dont put it on xbox or ps3'. Can someone tell me what the problem is? It doesn't mean you have to buy it, just stick to playing PC. Rocket will get funded by it, so that means he can do even more with DayZ or any other projects he's working on.

YES, YES and YES! I completely agree with you, my computer is a really not the best thing to play dayZ on, in fact it would actually be easier to play dayZ on a deceased goat that has been skinned and stuffed with an assorted mixture of novelty items. Anyways, I have a bad habit of timing out and glitching, lagging, erroring, and just not being able to play the game because my computer (and internet) is just a puke. But I'm sure being able to play by myself without all the internet hassles would be very good. I would love to be able to play dayZ without worrying about running out of internet would be so cool. Thank you good sir for suggesting this, you have my beans!

Heeyyy rocket....Would you even consider making a singleplayer/offline mode for dayZ? So you wouldn't have to put up with being bum-raped by hackers, snipers, bandits etc. Also if you have a bad internet connection or a small amount of it, you don't have to worry about it. I was just wondering, I know there was a thread about this but I just wanted to get from the guy whos in charge of not being retarded. :rolleyes:

Will the standalone have a singleplayer? Someone said it before but didn't post any links or anything....

Every time I try to open Operation Arrowhead it says "addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Mission_BAF_2'". If I click OK it gives me a black screen that disappears and then comes up with another error saying 'error creating direct3d 9 graphical engine', then nothing. I NEED a fix. Please if you know anything that could solve it please help me out.
