Bambis originated from FrankieonPCin1080p. Its another word for fresh spawns / gearless players. If its an even fight (level ground, moderately close range etc) HIDE! Thats what I do. Hide and wait for them to pass, then empty your clip into their back. Learn to recognize the sounds of guns / where the shots are coming from, and once you are confident with that, whenever you get shot at, HIDE! Then crawl to some cover. If you manage to find them, fire away. Get a good guess as to where to aim (how far up abover their head etc) Otherwise, try to avoid them. If you are lucky enough that they didn't see you, sit prone, and if you want to take the risk, shoot them when you get the chance. Good luck. PS. HIDE!

You'll need a minimum of 3.0GHz CPU, at least 8GB of RAM, HDD can be any size you want, as long as it hold ArmA. If you are going for Nvidia GPUs get a 'ti' model, otherwise if you are a AMD person, get a 7850. Or more.

Get a program like memtest, and once you have found out what part it is, remove the side cover of your tower (when the computer is turned off and unplugged, obviously) remove the faulty part, and purchase a new one.

It has to do with stuff malfunctioning. I don't know if thats from age or whatever. It shuts down to prevent any further damage. How old is your computer? You could try reinstalling windows to fix it, otherwise you'll have to find the source of the problem yourself. I prefer Intel. I don't know why I dislike AMD. I guess I just assume because they are cheap they are liable to overheat or break. Much higher GHz over Intel though. I have a set of earphones which I use when I'm playing my drums, but they have no microphone. I am going to be mainly using it for PC gaming. Maybe a tiny bit of console, but not much. I'll look into these Astro headsets you mentioned, thanks.

Looks good, are you going to OC the CPU? I personally go for the AMD cards over Nvidia. I'm planning on getting a Radeon HD 7870 in my ~$1200 AUD build, but still, good build.

You should take the backpack off, and remove the weapon, take the other one out and put the other back in. Would be a neat little animation I think.

Everyone dies the first 10 times they play. Every time you'll slowly get further and live longer. Just about any accesible building has some good loot in it. Houses will normally spawn food and drink, apartments spawn some low-end weapons like handguns, and rifles. Fire stations are your best bet if you want some moderately good weapons (AKM, AK-74). When you spawn, it will say in the bottom corner something like 'Chernarus - Day 0 - Kamenka' Kamenka is the town you've spawned in. It doesn't have alot of enterable buildings, although there is a couple of deer stands close by. Deer stands are your No.2 source of weapons. They usually spawn low end weapons and things like grenades and maps and other miscellaneous stuff. Cities are best avoided unless you are well-equiped or theres a low player count on the server. Supermarkets usually have backpacks, food, water, maps and other accesories. Hospitals have medical supplies like bandages / painkillers etc. Airfields are also a pretty dangerous area. lots of bandits there. Other than that I really reccomend you play some vannila ArmA II to get used to the feel of the game. It will teach you about the weapons, movement, actions and interacting with things.

I think there should be other ways to enter, but would be incredibly risky. Because, really, if you are experienced enough to acquire satchel charges or a helicopter then there is no point in getting all this moderately decent loot. Maybe an escape tunnel the prisoners created? It would be filled with excrement and have a high risk of catching a disease.

I don't get what you mean. The characters in DayZ are civilians. They don't have military experience, they aren't in top physical condition. They aren't battle-ready. They are just everyday people. It shouldn't be so complicated as to incorporate height and hair and fat. Its just a waste of time. Again, I don't understand. Are you saying that ingame you already are ready to use weapons like a soldier and be so fit as to run 10km with 20kg of gear? Go and find 10 people, attach 20kg of gear to them, get them to run 10km and tell me how that goes. Which they are nerfing. There won't be superman zombies in the SA. Its still an alpha, I'll have you know. The zombies are basically humans with different skins.

Its a game. You aren't playing as soldiers either, you are a civilian. Last time I checked, most people aren't familiar with killing other people and flesh-hungry zombies. Soldiers go through training to get where they are, these guys have woken up one day to find their home country is taken over by monstrous zombies. Get back IN your chair and play some DayZ from time to time....
