Errr...wat. You are saying that he should wait for the standalone. Inception simply asked why...and you slapped him in the face with a wall of text. He is asking if he's old enough to play the MOD. Not the SA. And I'll think you'll come to find the mod is alot like the standalone. Your opinion is irrelevant and needs some thought.

Food shouldn't be rarer, its everywhere; in houses, in supermarkets, theres more than likely something edible everywhere. Only some types of medecine(?) should be rarer: anti-biotics, morphine etc etc, the more valuable stuff. I think there should be more emphasis on homemade medical items: splints made out of sticks and a t-shirt, whiskey for a painkiller etc etc. Weapons shouldn't be rarer, except for military weapons. They should only be found in camps, airfields and military establishments. Shotguns, bolt action hunting rifles and low caliber handguns should have a common spawn.

I don't get the point of burying someone. The carry idea is good, but I don't get the other.

So you want vehicles to respawn at the last place they were before the game crashes or glitches? I think.

I would say yes, just make players and zombies invisible in 3rd person until you are making direct eye contact with them in 1st person.

The computer is pretty good, and will get you 30 - 40 on normal - high. The CPU is pretty slow, and I can't find a GPU in there, so if its intergrated, it will be even worse.

Character creation, skills and attributes have rejected many times before. Even rocket himself said he doesn't want a game based around numbers.

You'll get at least 40 - 50+ on high with that. The 6300 won't bottleneck, but if you want a better CPU, get a 2500k, 3570k or 4670k.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but here it goes: So third person has been a target of debate in the standalone, mainly because it is very exploitable (looking around corners, looking behind things etc) so why not set it out like this: Players, zombies, loot, vehicles and anything of interest is invisible until your character is directly facing it. So it will seem as though nothing is there if you're looking there in third person. Hopefully then it will encourage more people to use first person in firefights and engagements. If you're hiding behind a wall in 3rd person, scanning for players no-one will appear, but as soon as your character is facing them, they appear again. The human eye can see ~150º if the internet is correct, so players in a 150º FoV will appear to the player. I have edited a large portion of this suggestion as most people seem to be focused more on the third person idea rather than the others. Thats all for now, please tell me what you think.

The GPU and RAM could do with an upgrade, otherwise that will give you ~30 FPS on normal. 32bit is a problem and a 2 core CPU is a problem. You would get maybe ~30 on very high, with all the irrelevant stuff, (AA, PPE, shadows etc) turned down.

I use both 1st and 3rd. 1st for when I'm in a firefight and killing things. 3rd when I'm on the move. 1st person makes my eyes hurt, I can't play with it on when I'm travelling, but shooting at things is easier and makes things more realistic. Keep 3rd person in the SA, but balance it out, I made a thread about it, I'll find it and you can read for yourself. Here it is, please read.

I'm 14 now, and my parents don't really care all that much about what I play. ArmA II is not gory at all, as most of your engagements and gun fights will be over a distance anyway, so the blood that does splatter will be next to invisible. The corpses have some blood on their limbs and faces, but nothing too bad. DayZ does have a lot more CQC engagements but again, it is only a 'cloud' of blood that disappears pretty quickly. There is a slight bit of swearing, but its not constant or excessive. I have not come across any nudity, sex or anything like that in ArmA II before. While on the topic of suggestive things in ArmA II how many of you have looked in one of the Cherno chimneys?

But older models have different size PCI slot things. Correct me if I'm wrong, but older models might have 8x lines, so a 16x card won't fit. Its unlikely that your GPU won't fit, but its good to be on the safe side :)

Your CPU. Although your system will bottleneck you'll still have a good build when you get a new GPU. Check your GPU to make sure it will fit in your new motherboard (Intel CPUs aren't compatible with AMD mobo CPU sockets, so the PCI-E slot may be a bit different for an older CPU.) I would reccommend the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard, incase you were wondering.

Its not only your GPU, but your CPU as well. With an AMD CPU you'd need 3.2 - 3.4GHz of speed for decent gameplay. As for the GPU, a 7770 or 7790 is a very good choice for that price range.

How big would you estimate the download size be for DayZ, and how internet hungry will it be? EDIT: I only realise mistakes after I post. WTF brain. ty Statik for pointing that out.

A 7850 would be a pretty good choice, but if you are able to spend a little more, go for a 7870. lol I already gave you advice, the second post down. You probably didn't notice it because I cut it down so my posts aren't 7 miles long.
