Aaaannnnnndddddddd what about the troll who will devote his time to killing everyone who gets to said 'Map 2' and / or 'Map 3'?
-
Ending? Nope. What happens then? I get perma-banned from the server? And also there will already be hundreds of clothing items in the SA, so you will be able to 'customize' your skin.

Apparently the Hawsell CPUs are very picky with OC'ing. Maybe thats why :/ My 3570k is only at 4.0GHz and gets around 50 - 60*C on a crappy cooler.

Call of Duty Zombies meets DayZ?
dulix11 replied to beavis_5000's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah, no. Two completely different games. No from me. -
Everything looks good, although I am not quite sure how well ArmA II likes the 6 core design of the 6300. If everything goes OK, you might be getting ~30+ on normal settings. In forests and cities it may drop to 20 or under.
-
So I tried raising my 3570k by just 100MHz up to 3.5GHz. Temps are fine, but there is one thing I'm wondering. CPU-Z is registering my Core Speed as 1600MHz but its sometimes flickering over to 3500MHz. Core Voltage is set to 'Auto' in teh BIOS and its registering as ~0.850 - ~0.950 V in CPU-Z. This normal? I've read up on this a heap, but bear with me, I'm on my iPod so I cannot post screenies :/ I'm aiming for 4.0GHz with decent temps (<70*C).

Seems OK now, P95 ran for ~10 hours and the highest it got was ~80°C. Thanks for the help guys!

Haha, I think it's funny when someone posts some complicated geeky computer stuff, and everyone else is just like, yeah, that's fine. Any who, I started a P95 test 9 hours ago, I think I'll torture him another hour or so, and then call it a day. At 100% CPU usage SpeedFan is telling me roughly 45 - 60*C and Core #0 is at ~80*C. Idling is around 30*C. I'll also check up on Tomshardware for some more info.
-
Errr, how do I start a 8+ hour stress test? And also how to end it? I've started a couple of tests which all ended, 0 errors and 0 warnings. I need to go soon, so I leave the test on until I get home from school.
-
OK speed is at 4000MHz, Offset Voltage at +0.050 V. CPU is idling under 30*. I have started the stress test and the Core #0 now reads just over 60*C.
-
Voltage was between 850 and 950. So I'll bump it straight from 3500 to 4000MHz, and put the voltage on 1.25, or something like 0.850 and bump it up till it boots?

I'm getting roughly ~30*C idling with SpeedFan. Hyper TX3 EVO is my fan, so I won't be over clocking heaps. SpeedFan now says CPU is at 42*C and 'Core 0' is at ~60*C. CPU usage at 100% and yup, CPU-Z says 3500MHz. Good or bad? Should I bump it straight to 4000MHz and run a stress test with Prime95? Also, n00b question, how to run and end a stress test? I'll turn the test on at ~7:00am and end it at ~4:30pm when I get home. Anything else I might wanna do?
-
I've run P95 once, no errors. Should I bump it up to 3600MHz?
-
I recently bought a Cooler master Hyper TX3 EVO fan for my CPU (3570k). After reading some stuff online AFTER purchasing it (cuz im a derp) I found there is some mixed views on its OC'ing capabilities. I plan on going no further than 4.5GHz, my target is 4.3GHz, but anything over 4.0GHz is good. Anyone have any experience with this cooler? What do you use to cool your CPU, and what speed is it at? thanks doods

How much are you willing to pay for DayZ Standalone ?
dulix11 replied to Safire (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
NO! Bad Diddums! Don't scare away the newcomers! -
Don't even go there, Statik.... OP, I don't really like the idea. Too intricate. (I don't think I spelt that right!) And like everyone has said, people will just troll each other with useless weapons. Unless I keep a pocket full of fiing pins just in case...ugh. No thanks.

Sees like a very good cooler for its price. What temps are you getting, whilst under load, idling etc?
-
Keep in mind not every has the same build as you, some might not even get 15 FPS with lowest settings possible. Personally, my settings are: - View distance: Default - Quality: Very high - Textures: High or normal, depending on whether ArmA wants to be a poop. - Objects: Normal - Shadow: The lowest without being disabled. - PPE: Very low - AA: Disabled - Resolution: The 1920 one, I can't remember. Everything else on default or disabled.
-
Have you installed the latest patch?
-
High visibilty = higher settings. You don't expect to be able to see 10000 meters on low settings, do you? All you would see is brown hills.
-
Should run perfectly fine, 30+ on high. CPU is quite slow, you may be only getting <15 FPS on lowest possible settings.

Hey guys, I have a guy who's looking to record some games at higher qualities and decent frames. At first he found a computer with a 3770k and a crappy a GPU but that could be upgraded. Then he had found a build with an AMD 8350, but I was sure that that can't compete with a 3770k, for recording at least. For GPU I reccomended a high end Nvidia card (780 to be exact). However he was convinced 2 7870s in crossfire was, despite the heat and cooling issues, superior. The only games I know he'll be recording are CoD: Ghosts, BF4 and Minecraft. Can someone clear this up, or reccomend some good recording hardware?
-
But wouldn't i7 930s and GTX 480s be the norm 4 years ago? I imagine that rig would run ArmA II better since that hardware is dated to around about the time ArmA II first came out. Anywho, kudos for the help, LoK and Rossums.

yeeeaaahh...they suck.

How do you enter town safely as a lone wolf?
dulix11 replied to Donair's topic in New Player Discussion
I take my shirt off, put my man-skirt on and stuff my pockets full of spaghetti and then go for it. Oh wait....you mean DayZ right?
