  1. Yeah, the guy with the 10 Dews, which are obtainable in-game, you shot with your AS50 thermal, which is not obtainable in-game, is definetly a hacker.
  2. You forget that there's no infinite ammo anymore, so the snipers can't sit there for the rest of their lives. And the Elektro hill snipers get killed pretty often, first thing after respawn I do is get some kind of firearm, walk around the big cities and ambush those guys from behind, and I'm probably not the only one. And what is an "asshole thing" exactly? When I'm in Cherno with my AK I just found, I'm pretty sure any of the holy survivors will kill me without hesitation, some might consider this an "asshole thing" too.
  3. I'm not saying sniping is fun, never used a sniper rifle in my last 3 lives because it bores me. But people who want to play as a sniper shouldn't be painted as devils when they're just doing what they like to do. And north isn't safe at all, me and many other people make sure of that. We have our gear and we will kill anyone who isn't part of our group. I do it for fun, others do it to protect their loot. And don't forget that you don't run into people that often, except the idiots firing their high caliber guns at night in Stary, I really like those guys.
  4. So everyone in Cherno and Elektro is a peaceful person who just wants to shoot zombies and nothing else? Sure, except when it's a recently killed PVP player who just needs his 20 minutes to restock and go for you again. Remember, bandits spawn on the coast too, and they will sooner or later start to kill you.
  5. You are asking that in the bandit forum? Answer: Yes, you should feel bad. You should have stood still for a little longer so the newbie sniper can make his ePenis grow a little more.
  6. Derailception! :o The snipers still have to worry about the same things as bandits up north. The guy with the Makarov and the Hatchet isn't a direct threat, but after ten or twenty minutes that can change drasticly. My problem is that everybody hates on the snipers and tries to protect the poor newbies. While it may be boring as hell to wait for hours in a bush, I saw plenty of low gear players slaughter each other while they tried to heal someone else or something. The guys just starting out aren't holy, and many of them were probably top gear and died and want to get back to that level as fast as possible. I'm pretty sure he and his buds never got attacked by those "high end" gear guys while they were healing them. Can't say that about the newly spawned players.
  7. The sniper will have food and water on him, but not infinate. If you kill 5 people in Elektro, chances are very slim anyone will want to go there when you have to loot the place later. Any player whis is gearing up will be a problem later on. And since some of us poor bandits also have to start over at some point, we don't live forever, it can't be impossible for others. If you're looting a city at night firing your Lee Enfield like an idiot, don't hate on the sniper with the NVGs who can clearly see you. The last thing was directed at the NW arfield, I doubt that people go there for Makarovs. And since when is every bandit a sniper? I'm a bandit and I run around with my silenced M4. I go to the airfield to restock my gear and if I see people afterwards, I kill them before they kill me. It's actually pretty simple in DayZ. If you see a guy you don't know, chances are he will try to kill you sooner or later, so you might as well give him a hard time doing so.
  8. Yes, because even the sniper cowards have to get some food and water at some point. Yes, because those players won't gear up in Cherno that fast and bother the sniper in future situations. Yes, because I don't want to lose the loot i just collected to some guys who were just late to the show. I stalk and kill people at night because it is fun and because I don't want to get shot when I'm busy eating or drinking.
  9. Even if you don't loot your victim, he won't steal anything from you or loot the same place you are going to. It's called eliminating competition.
  10. It's also logical that any touchy subject like religion, politics, racism, sexism and similar stuff will lead to trolling. It's still the internet, things don't change around here. Cthulhu 2012 The point - you missed it.
  11. Best troll thread for a long time, religion's always a good start. And thanks to this... ...we now also include politics, great material there. Want to take it to the next level? How about some juicy racism? OP must be American. And hence the trolling begins.
  12. So you think you're safe? If you took that DMR with you down south, it will follow you.
  13. Green mountain isn't that bad, I don't know why everyone is complaining. One thing though: If you die there, you die in real life.
  14. I'm not sure I could trust anyone who's not in my group, but good for you. I've senn trades going south really fast, althoug people who trade near Stary are not that smart anyway. Sometimes it's not the trading partner you should fear, but the guy waiting in the bushes for you to drop your gear.
  15. And how does the database know if the gun was looted from a hacker's body or not?
  16. Nope, it's hacked. Put it in a dead zombie and hide the body so nobody else will pick it up.
  17. If the question is "Why do you KOS?" that's not an answer, since the question is posed to people who do KOS.
  18. No, but it will help you keeping warm, that's my solution for staying in the woods. I've got one heatpack in my backpack just to be sure, but I rarely get too cold because of the camp fires. And yes, 42°C is serious fever, one degree more and you're as good as dead.
  19. I hunt at night with my silenced assault rifle, so I gues it's the fun of stalking people. I like following them arround for minutes and leave them completely in the dark and when they're looting something... BAM! I loot their bodies too, but mostly for ammo and medical supplies, so the loot doesn't interest me that much, it's just the fun of messing with people.
  20. Bad luck? I've got an infection once and after your first town it's not that hard to chop some wood and light up a camp fire. What I don't get is why 42°C are considered to be healthy.
  21. I guess it's bad luck, I find most of my food in the supermarket in Stary, usually there's at least one can of food and a coke. And if you've already got a hunting knife, look in the markets for a box of matches and start hunting. Cooked meat is way better than canned food. And don't forget about your water bottle, I carry around 5 of those things and never run out of water. Every town has its own well and last time I was in a market I found two empty bottles there. Or just shoot people, they have food and water too.
  22. And that's the reason everyone gets killed on sight, especially those coming up from Cherno or Elektro. If they don't have a better weapon or some ammo, they thend to have morphine, bloodbags or even antibiotics. In the south you get killed for your fancy backpack or any non-shitty weapon, in the north you get killed for medicine.
  23. Unless it's an anti-material rifle 2 shots minimum, just to be sure. I got shot on NW airfield once and the guy didn't notice me getting up, bandaging myself and injecting morphine, and I killed him afterwards. Even if the guy is lying on the floor, he can still get up and open fire, so make sure he's dead.
