  1. Since I saw the cow paratrooper army with my own eyes I strongly believe that most script users are just high level trolls. Just check your new guns first so you don't get banned because you suddenly have a G36 or something.
  2. I've been chopped to death by a guy in Devil's Castle, everything goes in Chernarus. But that makes the game fun and exciting, otherwise it would be dull and repedetive.
  3. I've never seen so many people spawn camping, and I got shot withing the first two minutes after respawning a lot and still managed to get past it. And to be fair, I don't see why player killing equals spawn camping, I manage to kill people without hiding on the same spot for two hours. I wasn't talking about spawn camping. I see player killing up north, last time I checked Stary wasn't down south at all, as normal PVP and I admit I enjoy it. Spawn camping may not be fair, but it's a survival game after all, not my cup of tea but it's allowed. The whole thing reminds me of the good old days in CS when everybody was hating on the AWP until they learned themselves how to use it. It's always unfair and bad and evil, even if it's completely normal within the game. And at least I can say that I'm honest about my intentions, not like the "friendly, friendly" people who kill you as soon as you turn your back. Yet again: if you don't know him, waste him. And you might as well enjoy doing it.
  4. Using curse words may not be good behaviour, but separating people into the groups "intelectual" and "dumbass" isn't either. And putting yourself in the first group isn't well-mannared, it's called hubris. It's not like I wouldn't welcome less cursing and whining, it's just that I don't agree with your presentation.
  5. Over half the community? So more than half of the maybe 40 people on the server kill everyone on sight, that means that a bit over 20 people manage to cover every inch of the 15*15m map of Chernarus and therefor ruin the game for everyone? Get my point?
  6. Just one thing: Which game or online community doesn't end up in stuff like this? And the Nobel Prize for modesty goes toooooooo...
  7. I stay around Stary and kill everyone who's not on my team, that's what I like to do and that's what I have to do to protect my own stuff. Am I wasting space? No, all those expensive 40 and 50 player servers with like 12 guys on it aren't that full. Am I ruining the experience of everyone? Sure, the two guys I see in one session, bare in mind that not the whole server is near me at any given moment, get wasted as soon as I see them, but that's normal up north. I do other stuff like raiding the airfield, but I like to ambush people and kill them. I enjoy killing them when they feel safe, that's what griefing is to me and I admit that I like it. I don't see how this is ruining the SURVIVAL game for anyone. I got 4 kills so far with my newest character btw, after 5 days. And I enjoyed all of those kills. It's not like I didn't try to help strangers at first, but as I said, I got killed every time I did this. Another reason to shoot everyone you don't know.
  8. It's called griefing or "Schadenfreude". People tend to look down on it, but if you look at anything that's competetive, most people do it because they genuinly enjoy the game or because they want to bear other people. I like both and I'm honest with it. And to be fair, I got shot twice by people I was bandaging and someone stole from my backpack after shouting "friendly, friendly" for like 5 minutes. If he's not with me on Skype/TS, he's a target. Period. He's still not a "fucktard", he's inexperienced, didn't pay attention or was just having some mindless fun. I shot a DMR in the middle of Cherno once jsut to see how many Zs would crawl out, peopel do stuff jsut for the heck of it. And yes, it's still whining. If you have to call someone names, you're not more mature than the griefer, you're just whining. Oh please tell me more about beeing a "worthless player" with your vast CoD experience.
  9. Well, if someone screams "don't shoot you fucktard" I have three reasons to shoot him in the head: 1. Shouting is annoying 2. "Fucktard" is a no-no 3. It sounds like whining. Killing someone who just says "friendly" is less funny than killing a whiner. Some people like to camp in Cherno with their AS50, I like to hang around Stary to kill those who dodged the snipers. That's life.
  10. Because it's funny? I don't hang around the south part anymore, but I also used to shoot everything on sight. Nowadays I wait for them to completely loot Stary and then I shoot them in the face, just because it's more funny to kill them after they found their cool gear. And don't forget, if you're in Cherno or Elektro and some unarmed guy runs around, he may pick up a weapon within the next minute and shoot you the next moment. So better safe than sorry.
  11. It really is impossible to avoid the 10'000 snipers on the coast, or how many it does take to cover every inch of spawning area so there's absolutely no chance for anyone to get past the starting point. Oh... wait.
  12. Seriously? If you cheat in COD or BF3, the victim doesn't have to re-unlock everything, in DayZ the poor guy loses everything. Therefore, griefing in DayZ is much more fun because it inflicts more "emotional damage", as long as the victim really gets so pissed because he/she died. Hell, the game is a total grief fest if you play legit and just shoot everyone on sight in Cherno or Elektro with some uber gear you farmed up north, so it's even more "fun" to hack in this game. Best thing to do is to stay calm and don't rage over everything. I'd actually like to talk to the guy who killed me with the parachuting cow, that was just hilarious.
  13. Never thought I would register here, but hey, I just liek those threads. Last time I got killed by a hacker was when an exploding cow fell from the sky, I laughed and moved on. I can understand that it's frustrating when you get killed for the tenth time in a row, but some of these scripts are just funny. I already had the opportunity to enjoy one of those "Thunderdomes", and I can happily report I was the first that got killed and I also broke every bone because some guy teleported me atop a tall building while I was running. And for the becoming scum thing: The hackers are less annoying to me than the Alt+F4 crowd or the uber 1337 banditz who shoot unarmed newbies in Elektro with their precious AS50 rifles. To be honest, the game does encourage griefing, and hacking isn't any different. Some people execute their little scripts to kill people on the other side of the map, some people sit down for two hours and pick off all the new players on the coast just for the lolz. And don't get me wrong, I can't really blame the sniper guys, with the DC cowards running around you have to one-shot everyone. Did you miss the last 10 years of online interaction or did you just forget about the concept of trolling?
