Duders I have come from a purely console gaming experience to Diablo III. The concept of keybinding is like fucking mandarin to me. I too like to run from place to place. If I get a conga line going that I need to get rid of I just lure them into a barn or a warehouse.

Check your Catalyst drivers, and disable the "polishing" effects, and post processing.

Dude people aren't excepting help. Ever. Even when sincere. I ran into a noob who was almost dead, he was swinging at me 3 or 4 times but he kept passing out. I said "Friendly, Do you need anything?" He apologized for swinging at me and said his water was flashing. I said "I am going to the pond on the other side of this hill to bring you water." He thanked me but as soon as I turned around he hauled ass and was mauled by zombies lol. I really don't blame people for not being trusting though. I have been screwed several times.

I had an alice pack full of water bottles and meat poof last night when I accidentally picked up a Czech vest, At the store in Berezino oddly enough. I was killed at the hospital shortly after. I ran back to the store and it had spawned will all of my crap still in it. So if some of your shit ever disappears hoof it back asap it might still be there.

The only thing that could work with classes/perks in a game like this would be like your characters "previous occupation" before the outbreak... IE Doctor, Hill Billy, Soldier, Teacher, Mechanic, Serial killer, Gang Banger, El Presidente of Tropico, Police Officer, Gambler etc.... It would be best as a random roll when you generate a character and effect your starting gear and how efficiently you do things related to your toon as a speed variable, or a value multiplier. IE Doctors would get a slight healing bonus over say the hill billy, who had slight bonuses to repair speed, or items required to repair and total meat harvested from game or time it takes to harvest.

How about a "Camp Crystal Lake" mini mode? I used to play "Michael Myers" a lot in Rainbow Six 3. Michael would have a shotgun which could be substituted with the hatchet. The first Michael was randomly selected and the other players could only throw tear gas and flash bangs, the last player alive was the next Michael. Just fence in any of the cities and increase the spawn rates of the Zombies. I think it would be a lot of fun. Maybe start Michael (hopefully Hubert in this guys honor...) in the full bloody hockey mask bit, this creepy ass music follows him around, thunder every time a player dies, maybe 500,000 blood? Only a handful of hatchets spawn and no firearms, food, or other aids... Yes I realize that the killer in Friday the 13th was Jason Voorhez and not Michael Myers lol.

That is awesome, and its things like this that make the game so interesting. Like the darkest corners of craigslist.... as a survival horror game....

Is there something wrong with my install? I have 2 different DayZ characters and can make more if I wanted by creating a new player profile. I thought this was normal!

Possilby "safe" zones a la "Land of the Dead", for trading and derping. Large, detailed enviroments that would normally be out of reach because of performance contsraints. Such as a mine / cave, Mall, player "created" prefab fortress? Sure these areas are doable in a free roam game, but not with lots of detail. Just a thought...
