i myself have experimented with this somewhat just to see if the amount of zombies would change the feeling ..i made 1 town that had about 500 zombies (obviously a stupid large amount) and the feeling of having that larger amount of zombies chasing you is a game changing feeling.. at 1 point about 300 chasing me. Would be nice if the roaming hordes were in the hundreds and HAD to be avoided

lol , man you asked for the responses... dayz in its nature is screw or get screwed... But.. you can however do excatly what you were looking for.. with enough looking you can find Exactly what you are wanting ... i too ran a server with no Stealing / Base rape.. anytime they came in the selected base and was not a member of that base they would effectivly get teleported 1000 K/m away and Warned they were entering a private base.. and all items (cars,tents, buildings, ETC) had damaged Turned off... so to Answer your Question.... this is a easy question but may be your problem, have you downloaded the maps(i.e. Dayz Commander) to the server locations?

try mine.... i think i have something not many..(if any) do.... just some of the things... Tow/Lift Vehicles.... Currency system just search INDIANA002

It is possible....on One of my server.. the allowed max distance has been uped... but u still run the higher risk of you can see tents more easily so not much of a point...
