  1. I think the variable temp is a decet idea but if overdone it will result in more downtime for players (uneeded time sinks) and server hopping to avoid rain etc. Much like the bone-breaking concept which is good, it is overdone when a door crushes your bones, or laying on a rock. For temp I think slow temp reduction in rain, high in water etc. is fine, but having too many ways to drop temp results in more tedious gameplay an less action so to speak. I have give survival instruction for years and body temp is rarely an issue to consider on the hour.

    how do i 'aim'

You are playing on a server with crosshairs disabled. I hit the V key to look through the weapon sights. You are paying on a server with crosshairs disabled. I hit the V key to look through the weapon sights.

    What was your dumbest death?

No food. Tons of people die from short falls, is there some way to adjust the bone-break parameters? I'd be happy making them only break from Zed or bullet wounds if it meant we didnt have to worry about falling a few inches to our deaths.

    I just have to ask

I definitely like the tension. I was following a guy along a road for a while when I realized hi movement wasnt right, like maybe he knew but he never looked around. When I paused and looked around myself he had a partner who was stalking me. I sprinted, dropped and rolled into some trees... they looked for me for a while but eventually gave up. Nervewracking, I didnt know if they were friendly or not.

    As For Missions for Dayz

What about "Objectives" vs. "Missions" Such as having a colony of survivors pop up somewhere. Maybe see barbwire encircle Kamenka, or a settlement appear in a field. NPC's would be within, some friendly, some not, but no NPC dialogue etc. The Objectives would then be unique to each player: Help them survive, or take them out, burn the settlement for fun or loot it for goods. I think that system would work better in this environment.
  6. As I understand it you wont continue to lose blood if you have bandages right? I keep 2 on me, if I use one I immediately seek out more. This may mean tossing cans at another player so Zeds kill them for me. Then I eat food like crazy to get blood back.

A view on this whole PvP fiasco

RE: A view on this whole PvP fiasco PVP is what makes this game. The zombies are there for your annoyance, this is survival of the fittest. The world has ended, there are zombies everywhere, and people looking to take your 8 Makarov clips and your 2 cans of beans. If you don't like it leave, because there's always going to be a sniper outside of Chernogorsk. Definitely says it best.

    Death By Laddar!?

Ladders are dropping people left and right. I watched guy climb a deerstand, then watched him bleed to death so I could get his beans. I did however let him know that he could spam crouch and he'd have a better chance. As for holstering pistols I'm not sure, Ive never done it, I cant remember the command. Good Luck

    When to trust people

For me the ruthlessness of human players is why I enjoy part of the game. I rarely kill a Zomb, only if its too close. I do like the need to be cautious in towns, I survey the area, check hills and high buildings before sneaking in. I sneak past Zombs but most important I try to stay undetected from humans. That doesn mean I wont help people. I'm just careful in how, for instance I popped a few Zombs for a guy trapped in a house, but split before he could turn his gun on me.

    Help me understand.

For me the choice to pop someone relies on whether they are an Immediate threat. I put a round in a guys face because he turned on me while I was shooting a Zombie that was knocking him off a deerstand ladder. I normally wouldnt kill but he pointed that pistol at me, intentional or not I had to pull the trigger on him. I dont have a bandit skin for some reason though. As for not shooting someone, I tracked an ALICE packing Bandit along a road for about 30 min. Never had a reason to kill him so hes off killing someone else right now.

    Perma Daylight Servers

None of my friends will play at night. I've had three people play at night the first time and they wont play again. Flashlights would be nice at a minimum just so people give it a chance.

Food and water being used offline

I'd like to see a reduction in offline resource usage. I've died twice because I can't login daily.
