I dont see why I need a game calculator to make me a better anything. If I want to snipe better I need to use the environment, find enough ammo and a decent location to practice and use my personal skills. What I dont need is to click some "sniper class" button and all the sudden have more accuracy and more rifle loot magically appearing by me. Just as if I were an engineer I dont need more toolboxes showing up. I need to learn how to use the tools if I find a toolbox.

Yeah basically what I am thinking is if you are not motionless and complete the full 30 second logout process, then your information and all damage that occurs for the next 2 minutes is stored on the Hive. Theres a chance that you could run, ALT out and remain hidden for 2 minutes, but you would surely die if you remained in sight. -

What if when log-in you were invisible to Zeds for 120 seconds and unable to move/see anything? You would be visible to other players, and untouchable until login was complete and then after 120 seconds you have full control with full damage options. -

I see a number of threads calling for ways to modify the run and gun players. Imagine how much worse it would be if there was a spawn point in every town. Sure it might spread out the players and make Elektro and such easier to navigate, but it would also put non-survivors all over the map. I dont see a lot of spray and pray kids up north. When I do I send him back to the coast. Those spawn locations control more than any humanity calculator will.

I agree with the above post. I was showing a friend a map of Chernarus and explaining to her what sections of the map are most dangerous. Makes perfect sense to me that the spray and pray gunners arent going to be messing with me up North for long. I pop them and send them back to the coast for a while. Or to another server if they DC at the slightest sound. -
Any type of punishment need a system for it to be fairly distributed, and appealed. So banning disconnects needs a way to prove that the DC was intentional. So given the amount of money we pay each time we want to use the mod, how much money and time should be invested in investigating DC claims? I say develop a long-standing game mechanic that slows disconnect time so we cant instantly disappear

Not bad. I know when I played Star Wars Galaxies you would remain on the server for a minute or two after logging off unless you sat down and used the logout option. The logout counted down 30 seconds where you had to remain seated and not fire any actions, then you would disappear safely. Not sure if thats possible here but I'd like to see a "timed" safe logout and a minute of persistence on the current server to be stored on the Hive if you try to do an immediate logout. -
Here's a question: If things go to $hit and I am an engineer am I more likely to run across a toolbox?

I cant tell you how many people I know that have killed professionally, or in the line of duty that dont feel any side effects. Several, and because its justified. If they create game calculators designed to control our behavior then we must assume that whoever designed the "humanity calculator" is correct in how human we can all be.

No. Not that its a bad idea for a regular shooter game or MMO. For a survival game, realistic survival I can group and use the actual terrain ad the skills of my partner for advantage. Not some game-run calculator that artificially makes me better than I am.

Not a bad idea but I dont think making a reward system game mechanic is the idea here. What are we supposed to get acknowledgement or something? Putting items in the world, some rare some not would be the way to go.

Isnt creating a game mechanic to modify behaviour exactly what Rocket and the crew are trying to avoid? If you kill people the game punishes you... not the idea. The only mechanics I'd like to see is ways to reduce the server hopping. Kneecapping and robbing is a thing of the past, the minute I shoot they ALT out and go to a new server. -

Yeah I am already seeing people server hop in rain. At least losing up to 50% temp so far hasn't mean anything negative. I assumed anything below that would mean severe infection and coughing.

For those who complain about/dislike temperature

I've taught outdoor survival for years and have never lost 30% of my body temp on a sunny day in a few hours. I definitely dont need to make a campfire 6 - 8 times a day. I like the concept but it seems overdone. -
I feel for you man, I mean if only there were other servers to choose from. Too bad there's only that one racist server. Also Nigger isnt exactly a "racist" term in most non-US countries. In all seriousness we all have to decide at one point if its worth it. You can find another server in 30 seconds or spend who knows how much time seeking racial justice on a video game. I say let the devs and admin work on the game, and let the server admin hang himself when more proof surfaces.

No fire in how long? Several people that keep dying tell me they don't light fires. How low is your temp? Mine in the sun dropped 34 points.

Its a trap item you use on Bandits. You place it on the ground and when he steps on it he gets "Trench Foot" and his leg starts to decay. Actually I have no idea what to use it for, but I'd like to know.

Well I'm still looking for specifics but my body temp drops continually no matter what. All I do now is hunt for firewood in buildings.

I suggested this inside anothr thread but I was wondering what people thought about reducing the instances of BS broken bones. Like when you close a door and crush your legs, no need for that. I propose that zombies and bullets break bones and thats it. Is that too little, or should a deer stand ladder cripple us?

I mean seriously why did Rocket (if that is indeed his real name) release this junk so we could test it out instead of never sleeping and testing everything himself ahead of time?
