I'm trying to google, but I only get one result which isn't the actual patch when I type in: "Arma 1.62.95724" I'm currently using 1.62.95417 The server I've been to is now denying connection from me and is shown as a red x as it seems to have the version 1.62.95724 now.

Hey, you two on the radio tower with Ghillies, SVDs, NVGs and the sorts; Good job on ALT F4ing immediately after you get shot at. Just wish I had a DMR or an FN FAL AN/PVS4 and not a simple rifle. Too bad you wont even bleed to death because of your buddy, though hopefully you will spawn on a server with a squad on the airfield, since you're already on top of the radio tower. Scum clan.

How do you know how you would behave in a zombie apocalypse? Pretty sure you'd be looking out for yourself if you knew people could just kill you and take your items; its not like they need another person to feed, and its not worth the risk to become acquainted with someone that has a fucking gun.

It really depends on what kind of server you play on... Some have respawn, some dont. You dont scrounge for supplies, because it's a military simulation so you'll most likely spawn with all the equipement you need / could ever dream of -- except in servers where you need to "level up" by killing AI/raiding cities/killing players. There's also Takistani life, which is basically living in Takistan with players playing the roles of police, civilians and even terrorists. In the game you earn money, buy stuff like cars, helis, weapons, etc. Most of Arma 2 servers include tactical military simulation play, but due to its nature, modding enables infinite range of different kind of gameplay -- such as Day Z.

This guy is legit, for future people looking to do trades with him: I traded my M4 CCO SD for his NVGs, they were offering me even a ghillie but I refused (only needed the NVGs). :) I then ended up playing with these guys for several hours and we all got some pretty insane loot, going to play with them again for sure!

So, me and these guys I just met were hanging out at the airfield, looting the barracks, when suddenly someone spawned in with an AK 47 with no sight. At the time I was looking outside the window, but from the corner of my eye I saw him. I called out who the guy with the AK was, since that weapon was far too primitive for our squad. The guy looked down at the gear that was by my feet (an M4A3 CCO) before bringing his attention up at me. I then witnessed the fastest ALT F4 in my life. What he was looking at was down the barrel of an M240, which I had 5x full belt-fed magazines for. Even if he had managed to nail me, there was 2 more inside the building and 2 outside. We laughed our asses off in TS after that.

Yeah, though like I said, I felt pretty safe with all the people around me. :) Actually, I don't think the barracks is really a good place for barricading oneself into; the hills in the east provide good line of sight into the small barracks. I don't ever spawn into a barracks like that just because of that reason. :P

I thought it was funny, obviously he was at a disadvantage. But the speed at which the Alt F4ed was just too hilarious. If I was in the position, I too would've shit my pants. I'm not claiming to be badass, never did I even hint towards that. I just thought it was funny. :)

The engine for Arma 2 has been working for months, doesn't mean the Arma 2 engine is exactly the best for Day Z, though I like it the way it is right now. You obviously haven't tried playing in normal Arma 2 servers, with clans, with password protected servers to prevent noobs from coming in and ruining the fun by teamkilling you. Going in 20/40 vs 20/40 scenarios with mods like ACE and ACRE and including in tanks/helis/jets -- each of these players being organized and attached to their own respective unit including various roles such as a Squad/Fire team leader, Automatic rifle man/assistant, Marksman/sniper/spotter, CAS support, AT,etc. . Also, hackers didn't exist in Arma 2 until Day Z, atleast it was exceptionally rare before this mod. What you bought was a game, a military simulation game. You are not playing it as it was meant to be played, you are playing it on a mod that a bunch of people created for free. What you are doing is complaining that a game's engine is not working exactly as hoped for a MOD, while the game is working just fine in the perspective of simulating combat operations and blaming Bohemia Interactive instead -- who created Arma 2, not DayZ -- for not fixing the game for Day Z instead of blaming the creator of Day Z -- who created the mod for free -- for not fixing things immediately. You are also oblivious on how to eradicate bugs from games, believing its a simple push of a button while it is not. Its lots of coding and there might be a single letter, a number or a space that's fucking up everything. You try and do better.

How the hell do you trade in this game, when one person can just immediately shoot you when you meet at the designated area? I'd love to trade my FN FAL AN/PVS4 for some night vision, but too paranoid to ever attempt getting close to a player in this game. PS: most of these offers that these people have made are pathetic, rofl. Atleast offer him a freaking M4 CCO SD for NVGs, NVGs are like 10x more rare.
