I'll stop that once you don't need it anymore. If you post a question about where to find devblogs, roadmaps, rockets statements, devtracker to help you get up to date on the status of the project, then people would be more than happy to help. Regular "It's not developing the way I want and ppl shoot me" threads serves no purpose what so ever.

True Reason For East-Coast Spawns? Map Expansion?
Gobbokirk replied to iongaming33@aim.com's topic in General Discussion
They're other places, just a lot easier to find em there. -
I belive he might have dropped the hat while beating his dead horse :P

Time to start thinking maybe? Money doesn't = coding done in 2 weeks. Do your research first. You, like thr 1.9mill of the people buying, probably didn't. Yes that sounds harsh but these pointless "Fix it you have money Rocket" threads pop up 3 times a day.

Can the leg pain status be ignored or does it get worse?
Gobbokirk replied to randmanq's topic in New Player Discussion
I can picture a limp/slow walk animation for this as well down the road. -
Thanks, gave me a good laugh :)

Yeah cause it's not like they ever said that the zombies where being worked on is it... :p Time to get some fresh air dude, because now you're making less sense for each post.
-
You're on the right track then :) Plenty to do in both the mods and ArmaIII if people don't like the current state. Personally I just make sure to limit my game time so I don't burn out.
-
Are you saying there isn't a code string that says "Fix game yes/no"... I am shocked :P
-
Yeah give them more money, that will show em :) But seriously, people that aren't happy with the progress should actually take some months off.

To the gentleman I shot at the airfield today...(An Apology)
Gobbokirk replied to Aubinator's topic in General Discussion
You know you could have just told him "Sorry dude I lagged" in game. He'd probably not belive you but at least he'd read/hear it. -
You're a bit grumpy today aren't you? And here I was thinking you had calmed down a bit yesterday :P

Will the late May update fix the broken distance rendering?
Gobbokirk replied to Rick1633's topic in General Discussion
And yet you respond to both posts... Consistent :P -
Will the late May update fix the broken distance rendering?
Gobbokirk replied to Rick1633's topic in General Discussion
Sounds good enough as long as we're all alpha testers :P On serious note I sure hope they do fix it though. I am not that good of a shot so impact is kinda helpfull for the 2nd shot :) -
Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Gobbokirk replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
And they are all just placeholder zombies until the permanent version get in. So if you hate em now just wait for them to develop proper once. Yes :) -
That would be from the mod.

My magnum got badly damaged by a zed that ruined my jacket. Weapon kit fixed it back up to worn again without a hitch. So they do have their place. Fairly easy to find though so not sure if I'd keep on on me at all times. But if you do keep on you I'd suggest not using the same spot as you keep your gun :) Kinda like don't keep morphine in your pants.

This can't be said enough. There is no such thing as a friendly server. If anything the admins might be nice guys with good intentions, small odds but could happen :p But no incentive for other people that join them to follow that "rule". I say "rule" since it's actually written in the rules that there is no such thing.
-
Start with them standing still to get used to setting the zeroing right. That's what I am still working at. I keep mixing up if it's 300m or 400m. Hitting a standing still zombie at 600m+ with a LRS isn't hard, I can say that since I've done it :p, and if you miss from closer you'll have em charging at you so there you go, a moving target :) Just don't try this outside Elektro or Berzino unless you find an empty server :)
-
With practice :) If you own Arma as well as DayZ I'd start there with some NPC target practice. If not find a quiet corner of the map and start popping Zeds. And the across shots will be the hardest to make no matter though. But at 50m you wouldn't have to lead the target much. The further away the more you'll need to lead. Will also be easier to see once we get proper bullet impacts back in the game.

Fireaxe still works fine but it seems like the head hitbox is a bit high. When blood comes out of the head you'd think it was a clean head shot, but you really need to aim a bit above the head, even in 1st person. I wouldn't mind if melee weapons was evened out a bit in damage though. Just for variations sake.

It took over a page but at least you got it, beans for working troll detector :) At least the little troll got some of the attention he was seeking :p

Why do some players do everything possible to avoid interaction?
Gobbokirk replied to mithrawndo's topic in General Discussion
Not much else that could be done to be honest. If people can't/aren't willing to speak they put themselves at a horrible disadvantage. I can't really accept the "don't speak English" reasoning either as there should be server for just about every major language out there. If someone ran up to me yelling in Russian I might have an issue communicating as well, that's why I don't play on Russian servers :p If my mic was broken for some reason I wouldn't even bother to log in tbh. Communication is what makes DayZ special to me and if I can't communicate it's not really worth it. -
Techinically it saved you some time. You would have lost it eventually anyways :p But yeah it does suck when it happens.
