not sure if trolling or... anyway! if there are no zeds it means you can easily pillage the village/compound with little effort and no risks, since no players are near, you still should be fast in doing so and that is sad at the moment, this is the biggest improvement imho, actually it's even worst when you're in a vehicle since nothing spawns at all until you leave it :\ if i don't recall wrong was the zombie spawn range 250 meters? i recall using my binocular and rangefinder to scout the area and to eventually know if i was the one that spawned zombies or another player.. sad as hell, also the fact that zombies always spawing sticky to each other is another easy way to know if you are alone or not.

i can't find the source but i may humbly say that the higher chance or the reserved slots would you call it that way, aka invites are for Forum Moderators, and for Community People who shared useful informations and stuff, and somehow helped out the Mod, mostly people out of this category "which know what the mod has gone through" if i recall the words correctly. hope i haven't hurt anyone's feeling i certainly am not in one of those categories

i overhyped all my friends about dayz mod since the first time i played it and more on last summer, and so they wanted really much to buy it but i stopped them, because i knew that they wouldn't pay for the game twice when SA would come out, because none of my friends even knows what mod means and they aren't that much into gaming to make such a buy, this way i hope they'll eventually end up buying occasional's DLC which may come from what i've read. i need help restraining this bunch of monkey-hyped friends just waiting for the standalone, any tips? :) it's gonna be a hell of a blast of sales! sorry for english, just wanted to share what i think about casual casual casual gamers too, they wouldn't pay for the "same product" which ofcourse we all know is not, twice, but good luck explaining them! people who can't even play with WASD... actually i'm joking on this but you got the point right? :D

So we are a clan and we actually own a server, de xxx, something like 10 days ago, to be more accurate like the day after the chopper was put back into the game again, so the 28th or 29th of july we've seen a helicopter flying and roaming around by atleast 2 players (since one was flying and the other one shooting from the side), after that day we've lost sight of it and until now we've been on his traces with no clue on where it is or if it's actually somewhere broken or saved or whatever. after that day we've registered that players from another specific clan stopped playing, they were a group of 2,3 and they were pretty much active until the day after we spotted the chopper, we guessed they might have crashed the huey and stopped playing on our server. so our hunt began theory 1: the chopper crashed 9-10 days ago, since then we've been looking at every of his new confirmed spawns as of 1.7.2.4 (mind that we're atleast 6 hardcore players by the number of hour we spend on dayz so it's not like we've missed out anything like not looking further at the borders of the maps, nor leaving any possible spot for it to land and be saved, by someone the server restarted multiple times since we have a curious case of high fps and latency for everyone when the server runs for more than 36h, always 2x in order to get back tents and vehicles for anyone inside and with previous warning by global chat we actually own 7 vehicles, 2x atv, GAZ, V3S Civilian, Tractor, Bike & Motorcycle and we even spotted others like an autobus and flipped atvs, we recently heard of the 7 days respawn for chopper who's not influenced by server restarts and even so we took in account that the chopper has disappeared from more than 10 days and still no chopper spawned in the 3 confirmed locations, even though still no trace. theory 2: we've read that if someone crashes while on the chopper it goes wasted or worse, it can go deeply underwater or far far out of the map, if this is the case what should we do? considered we don't use hacks nor even have a clue if there is a server command to make it respawn manually theory 3: the chopper badly landed anywhere and got destroyed in the process, then with every programmed server restarts it respawns in the site of the crash and the cooldown for the 7 days of doom starts over again in order for the server to make it spawn back as the wiki says non-saved vehicles will return to a random spawn of the known ones after 7 days. theory 4: the chopper never spawned on our server and simply got hacked, our admin says the server is up to date and we all are running version 95417 theory 5: you may think someone has the chopper landed & hidden somewhere and sometimes he login in order to save it again, i can say we're almost constantly keeping a list of who's playing on our server day by day and we've found that there almost no players playing on it from more than 4,5 days consecutively (many ragequits after dying too many times ;D) p.s. we once had a hacker on the server and he killed 4 of us by instagib with a command and destroyed our ural :'( is there any chance he stopped the chopper from spawning or have it teleported far in the ocean? the sad story of the ural HERE So what do you guys think? I've read in other threads that many players are in the same situation as i've explained here and so i hope this will help someone more than us and i want you to know that we aren't bad players in the way that when we'll know where the chopper is we'll storm it :) we usually play in groups of 1,2 players and so helicopter isn't our goal, but we would gladly see other players riding it and be it a good prey for our hunting! any ideas or tip? 1) try & search harder for chopper badly landed in random places? (we'll do that even more even if we have already looked everywhere) 2) search more the spawn points? (we're doing it since we knew the new spawn points, like 8 days ago) 3) you say there are new spawn points as of 1.7.2.4? please tell us all here so everyone may get benefits from that and update the wiki aswell sorry for the walltext and grammar errors, hope this will help us, our players, and all of you in the same situation of 0 choppers on your servers from left to right: players, Tau, Svrango Svrango: i'm tired.. it's been almost 2 weeks we're looking for this goddamn chopper... aren't you tired aswell? ok we destroyed it, saved the relict and still the chopper lays down in the sea even after server restarts (repaired ofc for maximum trolling) i've seen multiple threads of ppl who's in our same situation, what was your SOLUTION? apart nuke from the orbit

omg we found it after 18 days........................ it's 150 meters far from the coast... under water... FML what to do?

- De 462 hosted by fremen (the admine is our clanmate) - 14:00 GMT +1 - almost every player of the server has been teleported to the international airstrip, i'm saying almost everyone because a friend on teamspeak was on bicycle and didn't got teleported) - after that nothing happened and few players logged out due to fear of being instakilled, i stayed and i roamed a bit with another survivor, then i lost sight of him, after some time i found an hangar destroyed, multiple backpacks spawns in a small zone, a rumor of a v3s when there should've been none since the one in the server is currently at our camp, (or there might spawn more than 1?) then i found a large hacked zone, how can i explain, it was a fortified camp full of sandbags higher than a man with something that we couldn't see, and this in the middle of the airfield and large as a whole village, then after few minutes me and my friend got suddenly broken legs and died by the hand of a command from the hacker, i already died once by this so i'm sure it was one again, i'm sorry for the players of our server but even the battleye is up to date but it seems it couldn't stop this hacker... server is still running and i took a list of the current players and by knowing that almost everyone of them was old players with more than 2,3 days on it we managed to kick the other ones.. hope we'll find who it is and ban him.. no screenshoot were taken since the action was too sudden and my fraps was closed

if needed i have a list in which one of them should be the hacker

thanks 1000, and just if you can, you can confirm restarting servers doesn't interfere with huey's 7d spawn timer? whatever is the answer from tomorrow i will copy paste this for everyone needing an answer :) cm's posts are those in which we finally find truth, and so i feel obliged thanks again

i might be off-topic but it's still vehicle related, i don't want to take your time by asking if you would please search the forums with tags like helicopter doesn't spawn etc. etc. but i can tell you that i've done it and i share the grief of many players & server admins who are on the hunt for choppers ever since they were reintroduced with the 1.7.2.4 (yes they were added but once destroyed/crashed/stuck) they are left 4 dead lol, simply, they doesn't spawn even after 7 days of servers activity, or even after more. so would you kindly answer if the chopper respawn timer is the same as all the other vehicles & if any server restart will reset the 7 days timer? i think i'm speaking for everyone here. thanks and sorry for the long post a concerned citizen of Chernogorsk

it seems from what i read in this forum, and believe me i've read atleast 15-20 threads about it, that there is no chance for us to get a helicopter back after its crashes or gets destroyed/stuck in the ocean or if it's nowhere to be seen, no one knows if restarting the server will reset the 7 days count for the respawn or if those days are true or not.. gl & hf on having a dev answer

a clanmate saw one chopper like 6,7 days ago and we presumed it to be destroyed on the same day, so if it's not today tomorrow i'll check again the 3 confirmed spawns as of this patch and then i'll come here again...

bump pls, i'm in his same situation, we once spotted a flying chopper 6 days ago and till now we've looke all around the map, mind that we are 5 players doing that, any tip? if it's destroyed will it respawn? the admin even restarted the server 10 times since then lol

today with few friends we managed to put our hands on a ural civilian, we fixed it and all happy we started raiding everything in four, we even repaired another atv and so we had another one of us following the truck, it was like a little group of survivals like the one you've seen in resident evil: apocalypse, :D we had so much fun by going all around the map for half the day until we reached nadezdhino and we found it burned to the ground, we sincerely thought someone already took the chopper and went missile rampage on it... and so we went through on our vehicles... in the middle our ural lost one wheel.... the beginning of the end, suddenly zombies spawning everywhere around us, the heat was high and we slained as many as we could till the moment all our legs simultaneosly broke and all we could do was lay down.. seconds after we all four died and the epic day ended in the worst kind of way... we had so many plans... so many dreams.. p.s. i don't even have to tell you how many items we collected and how long we would've lasted with that setup. the ural civilian is maybe the best vehicle we found! 200 slots, 50 weapons slot, 10 backpacks, AMAZING! i hate you hacker, :P r.i.p. lil ural a screen of a friend of mine, when we first took the vehicle

lol the screen is the worst for the view it offers but yeah, nadezhino was totally obliterated, look at the trees! the server was de 462 hosted by fremen (a clanmate), i'm sorry for everyone that have been kicked out after, we closed the server to investigate

Ve nah someone spawned like 100 zombies at the same moment all around us, then we all suddenly got broken legs and the moment after we all died together, (same second i saw it in the chat) from 10/12 blood l to 0 or -x, we even managed to get on a cliff and shoot all the zombies while covering our backs, you just can't survive cheats... not to mention that ALL nadezhino was burnt and destroyed, even the trees around, everything happened way too fast that we couldn't take any screen nor even think to try to logout.. :(
