  1. Haven't you heard? The hype's gone. They won't need more than 1000 players worth of servers.
  2. Done! You get beans for spreading community content. Everybody wins!
  3. Off topic but I vote that everyone puts Emma Watson in their avatar like OntyCZE. It's the right thing to do.
  4. This made me burst out laughing. If I don't see a cult of banana worshippers pop up in the game, I'm going to be disappointed.
  5. I'm still watching it. There was just another good one: "I present to you a fire extinguisher." Some guy was running around with a fire extinguisher and was holding it up like Simba in the beginning of Lion King.
  6. No worries. Looking forward to your insights.
  7. http://www.twitch.tv/rocket2guns/b/487181967
  8. From the stream: Rocket: "Isn't loot spawning in it (military camp), Brian?" Brian: "Martin configured it but I did not see uh..." Rocket: "I exported the binary!" Brian: "Alright, let's give it a shot, maybe he used proxies." It's technical back and forths like this that make me reluctant to overly criticize DayZ development. That exchange means something... but I have no idea what.
  9. EDIT: It just felt like a meme.
  10. ...but Cpt. Undead's birthday... :(
  11. Count me out of that one. My upset = zero. He never said that was the only bug and how do we know how major or minor it is/the fix is?
  12. Alright I'll bite. What are you on about?
  13. I guess I don't even notice that sort of thing anymore. I'm kind of on Matman's side with that one. I enjoy it when there are streams and update topics though! EDIT: And I'd support people going full on bonkers at the slightest hint (imaginary or not) of a release if it didn't mean massive amounts of angry forum fallout the next day.
  14. He didn't post it AND he's already given multiple statements about people looking into things like this (Saying don't look for clues that don't exist). The hype train is part of the culture of DayZ now, I think it was just meant to be a funny picture :) Hey, if it comes out tomorrow, we're all laughing. I'm just saying it's probably more advisable for people not to get ahead of themselves when this has happened before.
  15. I will join you. I appreciate your courtesy!
  16. And here's where the rational separate themselves from the insane.
  17. Sometimes this topic becomes oddly quiet and I think "Maybe the game came out and everyone's way too busy playing and celebrating to post on the forums." and then I check steam.
  18. Listen, January 1st is an arbitrary date for release. In that sense, who cares if it's "this year" or not? Really, it's just another day. It will come out when it's ready. I don't know how many times people have to say this. They have internal release estimates, they don't always make them, they just can't be sure. End of story. That's it. If you're sick of anticipating it just to be disappointed then stop anticipating it. If you're interpreting Rocket's statements as suggesting it will be out in the next couple weeks and it never happens then stop listening. These are not real DayZ development problems. These are people's personal problems. There should have been a section opened up long ago on these forums where people could have DayZ alpha release group therapy sessions together, honestly.
  19. Obvious scam. And it worked.
  20. The mod is actually back up on steam now!
  21. I always thought the map felt small in some ways because everyone is coming and going from the same places on the map. If you add more value to all parts of the map then you're going to run into people less. As of now it's not just the specific cities or areas themselves that are cluttered, but all the routes to them as well.
  22. It mysteriously DISAPPEARED last night. but it's back now.
  23. I think that's a good enough theory right there.
