Saving Cars? And general Server question

An additional question which goes hand in hand with the ops. Let's say I find a bus and save it, what was the purpose in doing this? You can't store anything in the bus* and as far as I know it's still visible to anyone and everyone. I can only imagine this saves it to the server, but wasn't it already saved and on the server to begin with? *At least I was never presented with that option

Can't get above 60 fps on dayz

Not sure if it was a deep desire to play this game, an unwillingness to admit defeat despite having such a poor performing system, you really really really liked the abuse or a combo of all three but you deserve my beans.
  3. I hear you, I'm running DayZ on a shit Dell Optiplex 360 with 4gb ddr2. This PC has one of the first generation dual core processors and a cheap low profile fanless Radeon HD5450. To be fair, it runs the game at 20-25 fps in a town swarming with zombies but I have most of my settings set to high or very high. Works well, just have to be careful about getting into too much conflict, a lot of on screen action drops my frame rate to around 10-15fps.

    Few noob questions..

It depends upon the weapon you're currently using, I've read that the report can carry from 80m to 140m for rifles and 40m to 50m with a handgun. I know it's not what you were looking for. You could also look at dayzdb.com/database/weapons for detailed information on each type of weapon

    Few noob questions..

I don't think it'll help you in the situation you currently find yourself in but here's a rundown. You'll need matches, a knife, and a hatchet. Have you noticed the animals running around? Go up to the next one and bury a bullet or your hatchet into it's skull, gut it, collect the meat, make your way into the woods and open inventory, right click on hatchet and select "collect firewood" or something to that effect, once you collect the wood (takes two inventory slots) find a decent out of the way place to make a fire. Right click on the matches from your inventory and select "make a fireplace", once done back up a bit until you see the unlit campfire (a ring of rocks with your wood pile in the middle), you should now see the gun and ammo icon when looking at firepit...scroll your mouse wheel and select "light fire", then scroll mouse wheel again (after getting green rifle and ammo icon) and select "cook meat". Each meat gives you 800 blood and you typically get 3 to 4 meat from an animal. What you really need is a blood bag and someone to administer it to you

    Tents - little faq please?

Thanks for the info guys, I've been wondering about tents. Since they've been multiplying like rabbits in my inventory every time I log into a server I'll have to experiment. It's not like I only have one to lose, LOL!!!!

    Can someone help me please?

Showtime, if you headed northish from Cherno then I believe you may be at the farm near Vysota. Here is the link to the DayZ map, I hope it stayed zoomed in to the area I'm talking about. http://dayzdb.com/map#5.064.119

    Few noob questions..

This is the classic zombie experience we all dream of, how wonderful we have a survival sim that we can count on to deliver the goods. So far i've experience almost every emotion while playing this game, from being ecstatic over finding a can of franks and beans while in critical hunger to having rage face after crawling through brush for 15 minutes only to be sniped as soon as I cleared cover. I'm hooked

    Can someone help me please?

Well if nothing else pans out for you give this thread a once over, http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3910-need-medical-assistance-we-can-help/ I've never used them so I can't vouch, but it's worth a shot.

    Few noob questions..

I was on a server last night that had side chat enabled, this was supposedly a new server which was also running a new anti-hack script. Not sure if that was all BS or what but I can attest that, while it's a pretty blue color, side chat is distracting. Approximately 20 people were on this server and almost all were engaged in chat. When leaving a game I have found that it is best to wait a minute or two before disconnecting IF you've performed any type of action beforehand. It's irritating to eat your last can of bean while in critical hunger and then realizing at your next log-in that you're still in critical hunger but your food is now gone.

    PC Building

Of course I wasn't trying to be a dick with my post Mezeberelk, just giving an opinion that you would more than likely receive the proper care at a computer shop. I've been in the field since '98 but I do remember my first pc rebuild. It was replacing the systemboard on an old Acer 386 in the early 90's. I didn't know jack at that time and spent quite a bit of $$ on a board I was told would work but didn't. Learning experience and I wished I had contacted a PC shop beforehand because I eventually had to take it in to one. Cost me almost 3x's more than it should have. Good luck on your build.

    PC Building

I'd question the logic of having a friend help me assemble a PC who won't explain the basics of hardware and assist in choosing the best product I can afford based upon my need. Visit a computer repair shop, not a best buy or other big box store, and talk to the people there. My guess is they will be of more assistance than anyone on this forum.

Noob here (Need help, not items)

What has helped me the most, after I learned the game controls and mechanics, was this map: http://dayzdb.com/map#3.048.125 Left click on the map to move it around and use the + or - on the left hand side to zoom in or out (of course!). It shows the spawn locations and if you click on one of the colored dots or squares it will show a rundown of possible spawn items. Actually, if you have the time, check out the rest of that site as it's a very valuable resource for new players. Just a heads up about your location on the map. Most all of my new spawns have occurred on the coast between Kamenka and Komarovo or between Komarovo and Balota. There is an airfield to the NE of Balota, it's a nice spawn point for military gear and weapons. Check the tower and both hangers. Hope this helps you some.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.5

Odd, I just circled Stary Sobor on server US1335 and never experienced the graphic glitch. My computer setup is a joke too; An old Dell Optiplex 360 from work running Windows 7 64-bit Pro with the original Pentium Dual Core E2200, 4GB DDR2 and a fanless Radeon 5450! What I would really like to know is if they have plans to address the tent bug soon. Had to make room in my backpack so I moved my tent to my inventory before I logged off. When I rejoined later I noticed that the tent had multiplied removing 3 of my AK mags, my canteen and 2 cooked meats. Not a horrible loss but frustrating...however, not as bad as being sniped and starting all over. Edit: I stand corrected, logged back in and got the graphic issue when I made my way towards the military tents
