Well what happened above I went into a building in elektro and logged out to take a break. 20 minutes ago I logged in. As soon as I spawned where I left off I heard like a shot gun shot from the floor above me then I heard someone running away and a load of zombies running after him. So I quikcly went up stairs and found 2 dead guys. 1 fresh player with a hatchet and one in a gilli suit. The one in the suit had M4A3 with a few mags. Inside his back was was a DRM sniper with some mags and a M9 SD with no ammo. Along with some essentials like matches/map/NV goggles. I bet who ever killed the buy is gutted he never grabbed what he could before running of from the zombies lol.

He did have a bandit wrap on his head so I have no regret lol. Come to think of it he might of been a random player as he never had a ghili suit on.

HP make loads of different PC's. Have you got a link to specs to the one you are buying?

This is the laptop you have now yer? I doubt it but why not download Arma 2 Free and try that? Lower the settings down and see how that players. Also I would not buy a PC if I where you. I would build one. If you have never built a PC before believe me it is not hard at all. Am one of them people who struggle to fit a light bulb in yet after watching a few youtube video's on how to build a PC I went and built one and it was very easy. I actually just bilt another one today and took me about 30 minsutes.

Hello, Ok I have been playing DayZ since the last DayZ update came out. I have noticed a lot of heatpacks on my travels and am wondering is there any use for them any more? I know before the last patch you had a heat monitor thing and you had to keep your character warm via using heatpacks. But since the heat monitor has gone due to the latest patch are there any use for these now? I used them every time I see them but I don't see any change in my character and he does not seem to give any indication that he is cold or anything lol. My next question is about the in game map. A few minutes ago I was looking at the map seeing where I should head to next then I see a X on the map and it said Crashed Heli next to it. I thought ill go there then and see what I can find. As I got closer ( a couple minutes away from it ) I checked the map again to make sure am heading in the right direction. I then notice next to the Crashed Heli it has another X saying HAHAHA you stupid motherfucker. I this point I thought it must be a trap and went to a small village to get some supplies. I then checked the map again then there is loads of messages on the map neat the NW airfield saying like I see you ect. Was I in a hacked lobby or is this normal? Since when could people communicate using a map and leave tips/traps.

O dear I feel so stupid now :(. I have never noticed this before until now. Then again most of the time I don't have a map.

I finally made it to the international airport a few days ago the first time I had been there since I downloaded DayZ. I was on a server with only 5 other people and none of them was at the airfield. I had a alice pack with plenty of cooked meat and drink and I just found a AK74 Kobra with some ammo in the airfield. I then found a M9 SD pistol with 1 round of ammo. I went into the communication tower but I had a load of zombies on to me. SO I went to the stairs and I wanted to climb down the ladder and run over to the fire station to lose the zombies. But instead of my character grabbing onto the ladder he fell of broke both legs and died. I was gutted but I fined it enjoyable starting from scratch trying to find any weapon and some food and a map.

DO NOT BUY THAT PC!!! Please consider building a PC. If it is light PC gaming your after then maybe look at the old Core 2. PC building is very very easy I only learned how to build one last year and I have built plenty since then. Look on youtube there are some guides on how to build PC's ect. LGA 775 Quad Core Q6600 ( can be had for around £40 - £50 ) Cheap £25 LGA 775 motherboard Cheap 4gb RAM about £15. Cheap hard drive 500gb £30. Power Supply can get a decent brand 400watt for around £30 Cheap Ass PC case (ebuyer has lots of there from £10). Graphics Card ATI 6670 2gb DDR3 can be had for around £50. Windows can be had cheap now. So for that build your looking at £200 for that build but it is better than the one you are looking at on ebay. Now this is ok for gaming am using 6670 and Q6600 CPU for now and runs ARMA 2 and DayZ on High Settings on a 42" HDTV and am getting on average 45FPS. This set up is also fine for playing games like Fallout New Vegas, Crysis, GTA IV ect. But I will be upgrading to a i5 on Friday.

Hello, I would just liked to make a suggestion for the Devs of DayZ. Its noting major but I would l would like to see it in DayZ. When you have a tank trap or a wired fence set up. Players can't get past without a toolbox but zombies can just walk threw. Now I know zombies can only walk in buildings but still. So what I would like to see is in a future update zombies can't get passed tank traps or wire fences. Now I know this could be exploited by other players locking them selfs in buildings and shoot players from the windows. So make the tank traps block the zombie off but at the same time let the zombies attack the tank trap so after a minute or 2 the zombie would of destroyed the trap then they can proceed inside the building.

All last week there is a small 2 floor building in Elektro right next to the food store. I used it at a hideout and blocked my self inside. There are 3 ways to get in. The back the front and the side. Now lucky I had 3 tank traps on me so I blocked all entrances off. So I had the whole place to my self. No one ever got it as they had to use a tool kit to get in. By the time they even started using the tool kit I would of heard them and killed them or a zombie would of saw them and started attacking. I stayed alive in there for about 14 hours (over a period of a week). It was easy really keep a look out of the windows you get a good view of the food store and the office building and a good view of the front of the church and the red brick house across the street also the hills surrounding the area. It has got to be the safest option if you want to stick around Elektro. The only bad thing about it is the hills surrounding the area as a sniper could see in the top floor windows but barely.

I have only ever found 2. 1 was in a resident building in a very small town. Am not sure where about or the name of the town as I had no map and I only had 800 blood left. I just thought fuck it ill get killed and start fresh ran into a building and found 1 I was like HOLY SHIT OMG then I got killed by zombies. The 2nd time I found one was in Elektro you know that building am not sure if its a school or a office place or what ever its right next to the market store.

Hello, So I have just found a ATV am not sure if it belongs to someone else but its mine now hahahaha. Anyhow I think its bust. From what I could tell it did not have a lot of fuel in it and after I drove it for about 20 seconds it then would not go straight. It kept turning to the right so am guessing one of the wheels are bust? So how do I fix this? Do I simply find a wheel (saw plenty of them) and put it on or do I need a tool kit? Also how to I get fuel? So I get a jerry can and go to a fuel station? Also what happens to this ATV now? I just logged of the server so will it still be in the server so someone else can fined and take it? Or does it go off the server when I do? Thanks.

As long as the maps are cheap (under £10) then I don't mind paying. I rather give money to a game/mod like DayZ than say Activision and there Call Of Duty games. I mean they charge what £12 for map packs that are the size of my ass crack.

Today when I logged I ran to elektro to get some food as I was running short. Only to see a lot of bare traps on the ground surrounding the super market. I got into a small building and looked out the windows to see if I could see anyone. I couldn't then I noticed a zombie walking threw them all and not setting them off. Where they glitched into the game? After a minute of looking out the windows I noticed a player running from the store to the office building. He never had a bandit rag on but I shot my gun at a wall to let him know I was watching and he quit and all the traps vanished from the game. So this is the first time I have saw baretrap in DayZ never mind about 30 of them in the same area. Also just a side not. Am not bandit and I try and help any survivors as I can. But if you see another play my advice is drop to the ground so they don't see you and ask if there friendly. Don't just run behind them with a gun to there back and not expect them to turn around in a panic and shoot you. This happened to me twice today. 2 people running behind me with a makrov pistol only to scare the shit out of me and me shooting them as a result. .

I can see where you are coming from OP when I started out about 3 weeks ago now. It died a lot of times and finally I found Cherno and inside the church was a Makrov pistol with plenty of ammo. Since then sure I have died a lot but at least now I know witch way to go to get to cherno or elektro I can then get a gun and drink food and go and explore.

Ok so last night. I was in the hills by elektro trying to find some animals to eat. When I saw another player with the Taliban cloth on his head. He was heading towards the fire station. I shot him with my Lee Enfield rifle and killed him with 1 single bullet. Now usually I don't shoot before asking if there friendly. But since the new patch separates the bandits to the survivors I thought I may as well kill him. So I went over to his body and he has a AK 74 on him. Now in the 2 weeks I have been playing this game I have never found a AK 74 before but I have saw people with them. He has 2 mags with the AK. After a good 5 minutes thinking weather I should pick it up and drop the Lee Enfield. I stuck with the Lee Enfield as the Lee Enfield is powerful and the ammo can be found anywhere. Where the AK I have barely saw before and I have never saw any ammo for it in every building I have looted. So my question is. Would you keep your Lee Enfield or Double Barrel ShotGun or Winchester if you found a rare weapon? I know ammo for the rare weapon's can be found in a few places but I tend to keep around the coast line so I know witch way to go when I die.

Thanks for the advice. At the moment I seem to be doing fine with the Enfield as it is ushally a one shot kill on all zeds and 1 or 2 shots for humans. I have come accross plenty of STANAG mags but I have never found the M4A1 :(.

It is annoying getting shot down in Elektro by snipers. What I do when I get into Elektro for supply's I keep to the walls and zig zag. On 2 occasions I have been shot at by snipers but have missed. What I do is run into the nearest building and abort game. Now I know this is sort of cheating but it annoyed the hell out of the snipers. Log into another server (preferably one with not so many players in) then get out of Elektro. Get into the hills that surround Elektro then log back into the server with the sniper on. If you can't see the sniper lay low and wait until he/she starts shooting into Elektro. Once you know the position kill them from behind. This has got to annoy them. A bit unfair I know but they are not playing fair by sitting in the hills sniping unarmed freshly spawned players.

Today I was looting a office building then I got turned into a Cow. Really so I aborted the game and went into another server and all my equipment was gone except for my weapons. Even my backpack was gone.

Today alone in some of the buildings near the Church in Elektro I have found plenty of Enfield Rifles, CrossBows, Revolvers, M1811 pistols, Ak but no ammo, That was without checking the fire station.

At the moment I am carrying. Enfield with plenty of ammo Revolver with Plenty of Ammo 2x tins of beans 2x pepsi 1x Morphine 3x Bandage 2x Pain killers I do scrap the tins when I find a animal as I then carry about 5 or 6 cooked meat with me as this will do for when I have lost blood.

Ok little story for you all. So my character died 2 days ago due to someone hacking. So yesterday I started again. Got my self to Cherno and found my self a M1911 pistol and a tin of beans and 2 cans of pepsi a hatchet and some matches. I hear some gun shots so I get out of Cherno. I then got to Elektro and went to the office building and called it a night. I then resumed where I left off an hour ago and start searching for supply's in the office building. To my surprise I fined a winchester and some ammo for it. At this point I was so happy I found a decent weapon. I then find a pair of binoculars. I head to the roof of the building and have a quick look around. As am about to get of the roof I see something crawling in the grass heading towards a house across the big open field. I get my newly found binoculars out and see what is crawling in the field. It was another player. I kept on watching him until he gets to the house. He turns around and sits by the house. Another player sits next to him. I noticed this one was carrying a sniper rifle. The guy with the sniper gets his binoculars and looks in my direction. I then see him out his binoculars down. I thought to my self he is going to get that sniper and shoot me. So I get of the roof and hide in one of the rooms. A few minutes has passed and I thought I should try getting out of here and run towards the church. So I get by the doorway and prepair to run waiting for a Zombie to walk past. I then noticed the zombie ran like he was aggro. I then take a peep around the corner and see the zombie shot down as he got by the supermarket. I then noticed someone trying to crawl out of the super market. It was the Sniper I saw a few minutes ago. They must of came down here to find me. Now here is where the luck kicked in. I noticed the other guy on the floor behind the sniper. So I took my chance and shot the sniper and killed him in 1 hit. I then got back inside and went to the back door as at this point I attracted a lot of zombies due to the noise of the winchester. Luck striked again instead of the guy behind the sniper get up and run. He started looting the sniper so wile he was looting the sniper I took the opportunity to put a few shots into him with the winchester. I then run over to the supermarket and lay prone for a minute until all the zombies had given up searching. I then go over to the 2 bodies to find a Alice pack. A lot of food and drink. Map,Watch,Compass,NV goggles, Military flash light, G17 pistol with plenty of ammo and a AS50 sniper rifle with a lot of ammo. Obviously I am very happy with my new weapons and a backpack full of ammo and food and drink. But I am a little gutted as 1, It is the first time I have killed people without giving them the chance to say Friendly. 2, I now have a towel on my head (I killed another 2 last night as they where chasing me with hatchets) am guessing this makes me a bandit? The reason I am so happy with the items I have gotten is its the first time I have ever seen a sniper rifle in this game. As from what I understand is you can only get these in the North West Airfield? I have never been to the NorthWest Airfield before and I don't I will be heading there any time soon as is that not a PvP area?

I guess no one is going to trust me now when they see me due to the towel on my head :(. Guess Ill have to keep to the shadows. All I need now is a ghillie suit. Also Bezerker I know what you mean. I have been playing this game for nearly 2 weeks now and I have died more time by getting shot by snipers than I have by zombies. Am guessing the guys I killed where newish to the game as Hydra said why risk going into super markets with all this good gear. Wile I have this equipment am going to stick to the forest so I can get my food via killing animals and getting water from lakes.
