COME ONNNNNN please announced the release date. I love creating my own little camps on DayZ and fill it with loot (what I find my self) and see how many hours/days/weeks it goes before people find it and take the loot. But I have held of doing this for the past few weeks due to thinking the SA will be coming out soon. I really want to get stuck insto Dayz again but I don't want to spend hours finding tents and guns and other loot. To then find out the SA is out in a matter of days. Am even board of WarZ now. On DayZ I could be sitting there playing then think o wow I have been playing for nearly 3 hours now ahh what the heck just one more hour. When am playing WarZ it takes me 30 minutes to walk from one town to the next due to the very very slow jogging it just bores me and I usually just log off once I reach my destination. Sorry for that little rant or what ever you want to call it I just want DayZ SA right now. Quick question. I heard Arma 2 is more CPU hungry than Graphics Card hungry. Will DayZ SA be the same? At the moment I have a AMD 6670 1gb Graphics Card at the moment. But am getting a 7850 graphics card for Christmas would this enable me to run DayZ SA a lot better than my current 6670? The CPU I have is a Ivy Bridge i5 3550 3.3Ghz and 8gb Ram.

I sort of like the Street lights idea. As someone has all ready mentioned it will be a lot harder moving around the City at night as you will easily be seen by other players. How about putting a NPC standing by a generator. He will keep and eye on it. If someone kills him the lights go out a few minutes later. When they server restarts he respawns and the lights come back on.

Since I started playing DayZ almost 4 months ago. I have hardly ever found any working or useable vehicles and I have hardly found any sniper rifles. But since last week end I have managed to find over 6 sniper rifles and I am a owner of 4 vehicles (on different servers). I have not changed my game play I have simply gone about my business like I always do.

Am not complaining am just wondering why I found all this stuff in less than 7 days, I think I figured out why I have so many sniper rifles. I found a tent in the forest. It had a sniper inside along with some ammo. The next day wile on the same server I found the same tent again in the same location. I had a look inside and to my surprise the same sniper I took from the tent yesterday in fact I still have the sniper on my back is back in the tent along with the ammo. So I take the freshly spawned sniper and ammo. When I went back a few hours later the same sniper was again in the tent with the ammo but this time with a few more things. Again am not complaining am just wondering why the same sniper keeps respawning.

Hello, Here is my suggestion. At the moment we have baked beans frank and beans ect, Now all you have to do is left click and eat beans no problem. How about you make other tinned food available in the game witch is so easy to find but it rquires a tin opener. Make the tin opener a little hard to find like the matches. Then you have the Heinz Baked beans witch all ready has one of them rings on witch you simply pull open and the lid is off. Reading back I don't thnk I have worded this as best as I could so I will show a picture to explain what am talking about, As you can see there is no ring pull on the lid. So this requires a tin open. Let these tins be found anywhere. As you can see on this image. There is a ring pull you simply pull this off and the beans are yours. Make these harder to find in game.

Yes this what they need to implant in the stand alone. Imagine out in the forest and you find a bag of poo. You character study's it and it gives you a estimate like this has been fresh for 20 - 30 minutes. You will then think well is there a camper near by or who ever left this might be the other side of the map by now.

Ok maybe a bit to realistic. I was going to post a new thread with this suggestion but I will most likely get shot down. How about having to go the toilet every 30 minutes? If you don't go the toilet within 30 mins you shit your self. Making you smell a lot and zombies being attracted to you even more due to the smell? Player will also know you are near by as you will have the flies sound on you forever until you go and stand in a lake for a couple of seconds to wash your self. Again most likely a bit to realistic but it would be funny.

You sound like me when I started out. Zombies can keep pace with you but they can't hit you wile you are running. So if you have a few after you just keep moving. If there are any barns or buildings with 2 exits go in them and come out the other end. Zombies can only walk in buildings. Also if there are no buildings near by dodge in and out of bushes and trees the will eventually loose site of you. It took me like 3 days to kill my first zombie it is hard at first. Look in barns as there the most likely places to find a gun from a shotgun to a sniper rifle.

Hello everyone. Today wile playing DayZ I was just looting some firestations in Elektro. After I was done with the firestations. I made my way over to the super market for some food and drinks. Once I got near the market I heard some makarov shots behind me. I turn around there is some survivor shooting at me. He hit me once so I shot him and broke his leg. He must of ran out of ammo. So I said to him via direct chat I will help you don't try anything. So I bandaged him up I said wait here wile I run the hospital and get some morphine for the broken leg. So I left him there then I thought to my self this guy just tried to kill me why am I helping him. So I thought screw him so I got my lee enfiled out of my backpack went back to him and instead of shooting him. I let off a few shots against the wall so all the zombies would rush to the area. So as I ran into a near by building I took me seat and watched about 13 zombies beat him to death haha.

So I was at the back end of Elektro near the light house. As I made my way to the main part of elektro (the hospital part). I heard some gun shots coming from the hill. Since I was half kitted out (gillie suit but only a Winchester as my main gun). I went around the back to see if I could see who was shooting. I went around the back of the hill and slowly made my way up. I got up to the top and as I thought there was 2 bush wookies killing noobs in elektro. Since I have been searching for a sniper rifle for a week now I thought I may as well try. So I slowly made my way down the hit and got right behind one of them and shot him right at the back of the head. I thought I could kill the other one to but he was 2 quick for me and killed me :(. So clicked on disconnect and respawned. To my amazement ( this has happened a few times to me) I spawned on the spot I died with my Winchester and gillie suit. The guy who killed me seemed to be looting/checking his friends gear. I shot him and got him. Blood started pooring out his ass but he legged it. Instead of giving chase I decided to take his friends coyote backpack (the biggest one on the game). Along with his GPS/Night Vision goggles and his DMR sniper rifle. Thanks for the loots guys. Now time to counter snipe the bush wookies.

Ever since I started playing DayZ like 3 months ago. I have only ever found about 5 sniper rifles. 3 of them where on dead players. The other 2 snipers I found where the CZ 550 I found them in barns. Am just wondering witch is the most likely place to find one. Am sick of the bush wookies in Elektro and Cherno and my aim now is to go into 30+ players servers and take out the snipers so other people have a chance to grab some loot in the towns. At the moment I just spawn on top of sniper hill and take them out from behind but I really want to snipe them to see how they like it.

I play almost everyday but only for an hour or 2. I have made countless trips to say Story Sobor but I have never found a sniper in there. Found plenty of GPS and M9 SD. I have found a lot of heli crash sites but again no snipers mostly FALS.

Nice one. I have managed to get a hold of a CZ 550 from a bran not far from Elektro. Just need some bullets for it now.

Hi, Am just wondering if it is possible to contact a server owner? I have started building a camp in a server got 2 cars and a lot of loot. But I have noticed the server has not been restarted in about 2 days now. A guy I killed on Wednesday afternoon is still lying there lol. Plus a lot of buildings in the main cities and main areas are destroyed and can't be entered meaning no loot. How would I go about letting the owner of the server know the whole map is pretty dead and it needs restarting? Thanks.

Has this happened to anyone else. Every time I have been so close to the hero skin you run into a survivor who tries to kill you. This has happened to me 3 times now lol. Like today I was on 4500 humanity and only 500 away from the hero skin. Only to fun into a survivor. As soon as I saw him I ran the other way as I had no intention to kill him. But what does he do he tries to shoot me with a Lee Enfield. After firing off a warning shot off to piss off. He still tries to kill me so in the end I had no option but to take him out. Back down to 2000 humanity now :(.

I also have never given a blood transfusion or even offered a bandage to anyone because it seems every one is out to get me on DayZ lol. Obviously giving people blood is the quickest way to get the last 900. But if you change your cloths for example survivor cloths to a gillie suit. Your humanity will go to 0 and over time you will get more humanity. Do this until you get your remaining 900 switch back to the survivor cloths and restart DayZ then you should have the skin.

To be fair to the guy who killed you. It looked like he only just logged in then saw some guy pointing a gun at him. He panicked and killed you. Not sure why you took the gun then tried to pick the revolver up again. If you see anyone else just run don't stop to say friendly as 9 times out of 10 they will just kill you.

Who ever left a bus full of weapons in the middle of elektro thanks very much. Seriously where is the sense in that? Am not complaining but who ever did this just lost a lot of loot. The bus was working fine apart from a few broken windows. Must be my lucky day.

I always thought building a camp was a good idea. I mean I thought the whole point of the mod was to survive. Building a camp is one of the main objectives on my to do list in dayz.

If you fined one again DON'T! pick it up as there useless at killing zombies and other players. You are better of throwing empty tin cans as people. The crowbar is that bad.

Well sort of. I was just playing on a server I normally play on. Got into Elektro as I need a tent. I was making my way to one of the firestations when I heard cracks right next to me. I zig zaged across the field and turned into the street the church is on. I ran towards the church but when I got to the door I ran past and ran into a near by building. I looked out the window to see if I could see anyone when I noticed a bandit creeping up to the church door he had a sniper rifle on his back so I thought that must be the guy shooting at me. So I unloaded a clip of AK bullets into him and he died. I gave it a minute then went to loot the sniper from him. Once I got to the church there was 2 more bandits inside. One of them shot me and killed me fair play to him. I got the YOU DIED screen so I proceeded to load a new character. Then to my amazement I re spawned in Elektro inside the building I was when I took the sniper out with all my gear. I could not believe my luck so I wait by the window in hope the guys who shot me would come out of the church. I know they where still in there as zombies where pooring into the church and I could here who ever was inside shooting them with my AK. One of them went to check outside am pretty sure it was the one who killed me and put a clip into him and again he died. This time I got out of Elektro as I did not want to risk getting murdered again. So what happened? Major desync? or is my character really Jesus?

I have now had my rest and am now going to attempt to turn Mountain Dew into Wine and Beans into bread.

Not a chance. Considering I left pretty much all my loot at my hideout there was no reason for me to Alt F4. Even if I did have my loot I wouldn't of alt F4d as that is just a cowards thing to do.
