Hi, I just downloaded the latest update. Since playing DayZ on my latest PC build I got average 65-70 FPS wile in the woods/roads ect. I got between 55 - 60 in the big cities. Now since the new update today. I am getting between 95-105 FPS in the woods/roads and 85-100 in the big cities. A pretty big boost in FPS if you ask me. My specs are: XFX 2gb 7850 Core Edition i5 3550 3.8ghz 8gb 1333mhz Rip Jaw RAM Anyone else getting a pretty decent boost from the latest update?

I hope there are killer crocodiles in the swamps as well. Can someone tell me if them stupid dots will be taken out of the SA. The dots I am talking about are the white and green ones that appear on the side of the screen on Arma 2/Dayz Mod. If you see white dots moving these could mean zombies or aniamls. If you see a green dot moving this means there is a player near you. Meaning any one can tell if someone is trying to sneak up behined you. Or you can tell where about a player is without even seeing them. I hope this is removed from the SA.

Let me get this right. You have to change/you can change your cloths on the standalone? If so I am so going to hold people up and steal there pants. Also if I managed to find someone with a motorcycle I am going to hold them up and say I need your cloths your boots and motorcycle.

I want DayZ at 11:59 so Rocket and Co achieved there goal.

Well last week I was a hero and I had been one for a few months. I always kept to lowish populated servers. How ever last week I decided to give a 40+ player server ago. As soon as I joined I some guy with a crowbar spotted me. I asked if he needed anything. He then hit me twice with the crowbar. So I simply shot him dead. Bandaged my self up and then another idiot with a Lee Enfield started taking pot shots at me. I went prone (I think he thought he got me). He then came out from cover and ran towards me. Put a full clip into him. I for into elektro and dumped my AK as I had no ammo left and settled for a crossbow. Spotted a fresh spawner taking some loot I kept and eye on him but some one killed him with a pistol for no reason. So I somehow got a headshot on him with a crossbow (my first kill ever with a crossbow). After killing him and leaving the sever. I come back on and I was a survivor again :(. After gathering loot and a Enfield I started making my way to stary. I noticed a guy going up sniper hill. So I followed him and managed to spot him in a tree. He only had a CZ550 but he was not up there to enjoy the view was he? So I killed him took his sniper and made my way to stary. I noticed 2 guys scouting out a heli crash site. One of them spotted me and started shoot at me. He somehow managed to break my leg. But I managed to kill him and his friend. I then realised I forgot to get some morphine before I left elektro so I went to the crash site. No morphine there and no weapons so I just let the zombies kill me. Respawned with a tea towel on my head :(. Am not sure weather to try and get back to hero status now or just have fun with PVP wile I wait for the standalone.

There some real knob heads on here. Its a damn video game it will arrive when it is ready. I don't give a toss if Rocket promised an update. He is only human. Us humans make errors no one is perfect. I would lol if they release it at 11.59.59 on the 31st December just to spite all the little brats on here. When the game is released there is most likely going to be connection problems and stuff so all there little brats are just going to complain anyhow. So what ever happens you are just going to throw your toys out the pram anyhow. Rocket if you read any of these replies. Just step away from the computer turn your phone off and enjoy Christmas with your family. When your good and ready then come back and continue work on DayZ. We have the DayZ mod to keep us going and all the other great titles that have been released recently. I can't believe a free mod has kept me from playing Hitman and Far Cry 3.

So I joined a server today as I was making my way to Cherno. Some guy in the side chat was saying he is going to give everyone a Christmas present. He then said he was going to teleport everyone and give them loot. I thought it is most likely some kid hoping everyone will quit so he can have the NW airfield to him self or something. But a minute later he teleported everyone to near Stary. He then said everyone go prone. Funny enough everyone went prone except the odd few who ran off. I was about to quit until he said everyone who does not want there Christmas present leave the game now. I noticed people with snipers and high powered weapons next to me so wile they where not looking. I took a peep in there backpacks DMR and plenty of ammo. So I pretty much just kept rolling around peeking in peoples backpacks and taking there guns. I logged out and joined another server geared up to the teeth. At first I felt bad but thinking on these people all stayed in the server to get hacked weapons so they deserved to be robbed imo. I hate hackers and script kiddies on DayZ but am sort of happy this happened. Before I get flamed to be clear. I did not get any hacked weapons. In fact wile I was there the kid just kept going on and on and spawned noting. All I did was took advantage of people who didn't remember other players can access there backpacks if there to close.

How much are you paying for this so called gaming PC? the GT 640 is a cheap ass graphics card and I would be surprised if this card could managed 30FPS on low with Battlefield 3. So where ever you read this is good for battlefield/skyrim just don't listen to them.

I hope it gets released this year bu the poor guy sounds very tired and just wants to rest up for a wile. I would not be mad at all if it is delayed until 2013 Rocket and the rest of DayZ developers deserve there rest.

Epic Fail.

With the the SA being launched on Steam and Valve announcing the new Steam box console. Do you think DayZ will be available for that? I think it will be good for DayZ as a lot of people will be buying the Steam box as am guessing it will be a cheap way to get into PC gaming. The more people playing DayZ the better.

Well as it stands the standalone is due THIS MONTH!. Where expecting to here from the developers if this is still the case or if it has been delayed until 2013. I say give it until the Weekend if no news on the standalone then go for the Arma 2 mod. Arma 2 is a great game in its self. Also standalone is going to be pretty much the same with a lot of improvements and apparently it is going to be $15.

I once had some good loot. NV goggles, AS50, M9SD, CZ 550 in back pack. I was just out and about saw a tractor on the hill. Went up got in pressed W to go forward. Tractor went out of control crashed into a tree. I died 5 minutes later server restart :(.

I absolute love DayZ even though at the moment it is just a mod it is my game of the year. I have been very lucky in the 5 or so months I have been playing DayZ as I have only ever been victim of hackers a few times. But in this past week all I seem to come across is hackers. Mainly ones that use god mode. I finally managed to find some satchel charges 2nd time I have found any in the 5 months I have played this mod. So I was sitting in elektro as I was running low on supplies. Now am not stupid running in there with my top gear so I put it all in a tent and went in there with a AKM and I brought along 3 satchel charges. I had no use for them really so I thought I would see what it looks like blowing a building up. So I looted the supermarket and put the 3 satchel charges down inside.( I know horrible but since it was less than 1 hour until server restart why not ). As I was about to leave I noticed someone running around by the office building in camo clothing and a m240, I thought I want that gun. So I took a pot shot at him. In stead of taking cover he just ran towards to supermarket. So I got out the back door and ran to the field. I then went prone and had a check if he was following me. No sign of him he must be in the supermarket. So I set the charge of and in delight I watched the store crumble to the ground. I the noticed the guy was still standing in all the rubble but not moving. I thought he must be dead it might of just glitched. So I emptied a full AKM mag into him he turns around and starts shooting. He managed to break my legs and then killed me off. What do hackers get out of doing this? I don't mind losing gear of getting killed by people. But getting killed by people who just been blown up and shot yet somehow survived is annoying. Am at the point now where am thinking should I just leave DayZ until the SA is out (hopefully not long now) or just join very low populated servers. But where is the fun in that.

Well that didn't last long. Went back on it today. I played in a privet hive. Had some good fun and for pretty much first time ever teamed up with a guy for a good hour. Then a hacker made everyone dance and I got killed by zombies :(.

May I suggest putting a better crossbow in the game? I love the crossbow in DayZ. I don't mind the long reloading time. What does get me is you can't stack the arrows. Meaning you can only carry a handful of bolts at a time. The crossbow is one of the hardest weapons to handle in the game and take a lot of practice to start using on zombies never mind human players. The crossbow is not even that powerful. But as I said I love it but can we get a crossbow that can hold a few bolts at a time instead of one and maybe even put a scope on them.

So I just joined a room that had about 8 people in. I spawned in where I left of last night. Found my self a DMR in a fire station witch was a first. So I spawned it and had a quick search a near by barn. As soon as I got in the barn I heard a helicopter getting closer and closer so I hid behind the hay stacks in there as I thought wow a squad must be coming in here. I then heard the heli right outside. So after a minutes I had a quick check and there was a heli with 1 bandit inside. So I shot a few DMR bullets at his head and noting. I then thought o maybe it takes a few shots to break the glass on the heli or something. He then started shooting at me with the heli. I got back in the barn and then he started typing my gametag telling me to get in. I then logged out. Was he a hacker? How did he know my gametag as the server was hardcore so no tags should show.

haha yes I meant now. Was kind of funny saw a unarmed guy trying his very best to get into the church but he just could not do it due to the battleship blocking the doors.

I am not convinced he was a hacker. Joined the same server an hour after I left it. Got into Electro no loot was spawning or zombies. Went towards the church and there was massive battleship in the middle of Electro blocking the bath between the food store and hospital.

He was not flying he had brought the heli to a stand still on the ground hence why I managed to get a easy aim on him. I would of thought 3 DMR bullets would of broken the windows. Also I thought heli's in DayZ on have side guns (requires 2 people to shoot them_ this guy was just shooting at me with a gun just under the cockpit.

Maybe the zombies where stuck in the heli. As usually when you get close to a crash sight about 10-12 zombies spawn out.

No you need at least a Pentium 3. Joke.

You should be able to have 2 primary weapons at hand. Like sniper in hand crossbow on back and pistol in holster. Obviously if you have more than 1 primary weapon you move slower and takes longer to change from one weapon to the other. Also I would like to see different tents in the standalone. Like the tents we have in the mod now are camouflage and can easily be missed. Make these a lot rarer in the standalone. Then have other tents you could use but there very easy to spot like bright pink Barby tents or something lol.
