I have a FX 8320 8 core clocked at 4Ghz. 8GB 1600mhz RAM and a 2GB 770. I have not played the Vanilla mod for about a year now. But I do play epoch from time to time. It runs about 40-50 FPS in most places but in cities about 30 and sometimes drops below that. But am going to assume since Epoch has more stuff going on. Maybe vanilla will have better FPS.

MSIAfterburnr? I did use that and only took about 5-10fps loss using the lossless codec. But now I use shadowplay since I have a GTX 700. Takes 0 FPS hits. Can record for as long as you want.

OP that is silly advice. The smart thing to do is purposely wear damaged or badly damaged clothing. Put all your gear in them. If you are unarmed or out of ammo and get held up. Don't let the bandits have there way make them work for there loot. If they shoot you then there is a good chance the items inside the damaged cloths will be destroyed. Meaning you die and respawn quickly. The bandits waste ammo and get noting out of it.

Not had any issues with the alpha as of yet. But I do have this little annoyance of blood bags. I have no problem finding blood bags and IV kits. But none have any blood in. I know you have to check what your blood type is how do you do this? I put my own blood in a syringe but it wont let me put it into a IV kit? I take it I have to hunt people down. Hold them up and steal there blood? Is this not something a bandit would do? I don't really want to play like a bandit. I have a suggestion have blood bags at hospitals like the mod. Obviously don't have plenty spawning in every hospital just make them rare or something?

Ahhh remember the good old days in the mod where the scariest thing was gates. Instant leg brakes right there.

I didn't realise tent's where in the SA yet. But I stumbled across one behind a house near the coast somewhere between electro and barizinho. It was the green army type ones we had in the mod. But I could not access it. Is this just apart of the scenery or can you actually store items in them?

So I seem to be doing well. Got my self some food and a few weapons. Did take a beating from a few zombies but I killed them. Bandaged my self up. Was searching a house then black screen you are unconscious. It has been like this for 10 minutes. How long does this last for?

Just noticed Arma 2 complete pack and Annaversary edition is 80% off https://store.bistudio.com/arma2-games I wonder if there just trying to sell just a few more copies for new potential DayZ players. Then release stand alone? Wishful thinking.
