Synopsis

Unfortunately I don't, I think if you just keep looking through threads like these you'll easily find it.

After seeing all these threads and hearing my friend talk about the same problem, I felt like I had to look into it. After not being able to join any servers (stuck at loading screen) I was finally able to join a NZ server, and I was in exactly the same spot where I logged. "Haha," I thought, either I was lucky or everyone else just blew at DayZ. Five seconds later I was promptly kicked for Battleye Client not responding. Battleye blows. Long story short, I ended up logging back on to the same server, and lo and behold, I spawned in Prig with all my items. Also, for some reason, when I spawned I had my binocs out. Very weird. I really wish this could all get fixed.

I have the exact same problem :( At the moment I'm trying a solution that I found on another post, which consists of downloading both the latest build and the new game files manually from http://se1.dayz.nu/latest/ and http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php I hope it works!

Yea, I don't know, maybe from the fact that the mod is in alpha and still has to go through beta, maybe the fact that rocket releases new updates every week, or maybe the fact that he stated it will run off the Arma III engine. Yup, nothing to be excited about!

While I don't mean to rage here, I do wish to bring up a point which I feel should be atleast addressed in a patch to come. So my story goes like this: This morning, while I had just looted Stary and was heading up towards the airfield, I attracted the notice of a zombie. Well, as you all know, it's easy to lose a zombie when you run sideways up a hill, so that's just what I was about to do. At this moment by little brother walks in and asks my help for something. So, reluctantly I oblige and hit Esc - Abort - Disconnect, hoping to reconnect when I was done with whatever my brother needed help with. As I was doing this, the zombie caught up with me and hit me once (I thought nothing of it because this had happened to me before and I hadn't lost much health) However, when I reconnected I found myself bleeding out, with the ticker barely moving at all. I ended up losing about 11,000 blood points in a matter of literally 3 minutes, while the time ticker (whatever you want to call it) was not even half way done. Needless to say I was incredibly pissed, since I ended up losing my hard-earned gear, including a gillie suit. All I can say is WHAT THE FUCK!

Yup, I play DayZ through bootcamp XP and it works perfectly fine :)

This is going to seem ridiculously simple to all you DayZ warriors, but how do you change your name? Also, just a sidenote, but since I'm playing on a laptop I changed some of the controls, including my player view toggle, which I changed to my Delete/Backspace key. Now, all of a sudden, I can't change my view no matter what I change the command to...any help?

So I've been playing for a little more than a day now, and I've just encountered my first experience with night. My question is how long does night last, are all servers on the same clock (meaning they're all dark right now), and what is clock that the mod runs on?
