I'd really like side chat back, but it did get annoying when someone would come in and talk on their mic in that channel. Still, I had some good times meeting up/talking to randoms in side chat.

Maybe he was setting the game up? I see a lot of locked/unlocked servers that say "Don't join testing/setting up" etc. Just thinking. :H

I've server-hopped many times with 1.7.2.5 and no coast-spawning. However it did happen the night 1.7.2.5 was released. I tried all kinds of different servers just trying to get in. Always getting stuck on Loading and all. So I guess it just tried to make it all work and spawned me at Elektro. I died trying to get back north by a random bandit. Really sucked since that life said 73 days when I logged in. I had been on it since May. :( Still, I am enjoying the thrills of gearing up once again. All I need is a compass and this shall be fun. :D

Completely, 100% agree. It's the Internet, though. There are thousands of people like that.

Get your head out of your ass. Do you know the first thing about how game/mod development goes? They test their patches. Things get through. Rocket is one guy, there may be more that help him but it is almost solely him for this mod. That would not happen and you know it. They do test these things. They have reasons for fixing certain things and not others. There is a reason for everything in this mod. I sincerely hope you are not serious with this thread and all your posts in this thread… if so you are just sad. I don't know how anyone could seriously be so impossible and plain stupid.

Furthermore from what I said in my above post, this IS an alpha and you may have paid for Arma 2 Combined Ops, but you did not pay anything for the alpha version of a mod for Arma 2. An alpha is just a testing phase. There are bound to be all kinds of crazy glitches and it is not at all considered a working game yet. Get it? I doubt it, but it can't hurt to try.

Hahaha these threads just crack me up every time. It's an alpha. Rocket is one man. Don't like it? Don't play it and don't bitch about it. I just love how these little kids think they know the first thing about making a real game. Try it yourself then come back to me. And before you ask, I do know what I'm talking about as I am an experienced programmer.

I own one myself and play Arma 2 (with an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.8GHz + 4GB Ram + Win 7 32-bit) on medium settings at 1440x900 and always get >30fps+. Or if you want to go a bit further, grab the GeForce GTX 560 Ti. It's ~$220 USD. Although you should do some research to see if your motherboard has a PCIe slot compatible with a modern video card, as well as if it will fit in your case/etc.

Will this be on a smaller map with its own hive and all? I don't see how it could work on Chernarus. But good idea and I look forward to watching it. I'd love to participate and I'd like to know how you sign up for it.

Lol "unwatchable" at 480p, what has this world come to. It's good, keep it up. I didn't get to watch it all but from what I saw it is a good video. :)

‎I have never had a team on DayZ and have played since early May. So I've been solo the whole way through, (aside from various team-ups with randoms every now and then) and the best way to travel is at night on low player-count servers. (Or whatever, that's just how I do it) I always stand-run in open fields and forests. When I'm closer to a city or a hot-spot or on servers with more players (15+) I crouch-run most of the time. When in a town I crouch-run if there seems to be no one around and no zombies chasing me. When near zombies I always crouch-walk and in some cases in a REALLY hot spot I prone and take all day just to cross a road… because it's most likely worth it. I've been on this current life since late May, so my methods seem to work. :) Also, NEVER fire a weapon unless absolutely 100% necessary. Crucial to not alerting zeds/survivors. If you get zombies after you, start running up the nearest hill/away from the zombies that aren't chasing you so they won't hear the gunshots, get a good distance away, then shoot as much as you like. Don't go back into the town/place for a bit just in case anyone heard. If you need more tips/advice for solo-ing just ask.

There was an alpha on Steam not too long ago. Endless Space. If you pre-ordered it you got instant access to the alpha. It's entirely possible DayZ will make it onto Steam. Also, Steam is introducing Steam Greenlight at the end of August and that changes the way games get on Steam. The community votes on the games, and if DayZ were to be submitted, it would most certainly grab Valve's attention. ;)

Alright, over the last 2 hours I made a supermarket run in Stary Sobor for food/extra watch that I found, (if you need it you can have it) then I traveled southwest to Cherno and got another blood pack (I actually only had one, I was wrong in my earlier post) so I now have 2. Sooo to get to the point, I suppose we can meet up when you're ready. I'll be able to play again around 12 hours from now. (From when I made this post) The game does get sorta boring after you raid the NW airfield, major cities, choppers, etc. Being a medic sounds like a good role for me. I'm always the medic in all the games I play, lol. I don't have much of anything to give you to trust me, but I don't guess you do either, heh. I'm just deciding to trust you because you sound honest. :) Feel free to PM me and I'll send you my Steam profile. I don't have a mic so sorry if that's a problem. Anyway, I'm offering so take it or leave it. ;)

I'd be willing to help you out, but I'm over in Stary Sobor at the moment and just ate my last can of food. I'm at 2800 blood and have some blood bags and would like to help ya out, but I don't know if it'd be worth it. I need to stock back up on food and blood. :/
