Actually the "zombies" in this game are neither zombies or undead. See zombies are undead, they have died but where brought back to life as zombie, and because they are pretty much corpses they can survive with horibly mutated bodies. Because of this, though, they are only capable of walking at best and can only be killed with headshots. Infected, on the other hand, are what you see in this game. The infected are still alive and have never died in the first place. They are humans who are infected in a way that zombies get infected. Because they are still alive, they can still run and have full motion capabilities, however thay can still be harmed in the same manner that human are. As such it is right for them to be killed in one shot with a Revolver or M1911. They are powerfull guns and would easyly kill a human with a single shot. However this nerf not only makes humans god-like and nearly invincible to pistols, but infected as well.

Okay look the game is going for realism here and anyone who wants to change that should just go play L4D or something. Honestly I come onto the forums and see a bunch of people saying things like "There should be more Zombies" or "Zombies should run faster" and it is actually really dumb. As I just said some people want to turn this game into L4D for whatever reason. Now the guns have been nerfed and there are two sides here. My opinion is that nerfed guns is a bad idea. As well people getting killed with one shot is REALISTIC. That is what the game is about. But of course there are some people who think that the pvp in game is better off as a crapy free online FPS where it take an entire clip to kill someone. I personally think that people who support the gun nerf are idiots and should just go and play some crapy free online FPS instead tryinng to ruin a good game for everyone else.

Okay now think about this: If all server admins bann people who are not their freiinds then sudenly hundreds of thousands of people are completely un-able to play and the only possible way for someone to play is if they have their own server or are freinds with someone who does. I think that pretty much says why your idea is a dumb one.

Well I tired searching around for information on this but I could not find anything on it. Could just be that I am looking in the wrong places, but I will look around a bit more. So basically what you are saying is the update for Arma 2 itself made guns weak as hell?

First off this started after I recently updated Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead. After playing for a bit I had a zombie agro me and I shot him multiple time (I had a revolver) and he just would not die. It was definitely getting hit by my shots because blood was coming from its chest each time I shot. After I outran it I tried updating the beta patch and also replaced the dayz_code and dayz_weapons files as well. When I logged back on the zombies where still not taking damage, although I eventualy discovered they would still die from headshots. This is quite the problem because the only way to kill them now is basically to run indoors, and even then it makes it so much harder to deal will them, especially large groups. I think I should also mention that shooting them causes them to scream in the manner a human would, however I do not think this is a part of the problem because this has been happening to me since day one. I urgently need for someone to assist me with the first problem, or even just give me an explination for it. It would be nice if you could assist me with the second problem as well, although it hardly affects my gameplay and is not urgent.
