Same issue last night, fixed it. If you're not getting the DAYZ splash screens when loading then you're not 100% updated. I went ahead and reinstalled the beta patch, downloaded the dayz files, and reinstalled battleye. I'm pretty sure it was just a problem with my dayz install but I did everything. Works now.

If you go, make sure you bring another person. Sometimes the mountain requires a sacrifice.

We're only making the problem worse with all this talk.

I guess. That never happens to me. The only times I've ever broken my leg (minus gunshots and since the broken leg sim was patched out) was when zombies swarmed me. That's it and that doesn't really happen to me anymore.

I haven't broken a bone in weeks. (unless I'm shot) Must be something OP is doing wrong. Maybe it's because this problem was a lot worse and I can now walk off the third step of a set of stairs and not break my leg but this problem seems nonexistent to me. I don't know what I'm doing that you're not but broken bones are the least of my problems in game. How close are you letting zombies get to you? Are you trying to kill a bunch of them or is this just a one zombie type situation? edited to be less dickish. salud

^ no clue. I just know how moronic forums like this can get. Imagine spending the majority of your time creating this game or thinking about it while you should be doing something else. Then you get online and see thread after thread of half thought complaints and flame wars. Yeah, I'd avoid it. It's bad enough having one person that thinks they're your boss. Imagine having nearly a million.

If I were rocket, I'd avoid this forum like a plague ship.

How do you know? You weren't looking at the game when it happened or you at least you weren't looking when they showed up.

Deerstand or players dumping their zombies on you. Open fields are a stupid place to alt-tab out as players are always looking for down choppers and they only really spawn in open fields. Sooo, players.

Sounds like you made some serious mistakes so don't blame just him. You should always keep an eye on your new friend. If you have to look away do it quickly. Keep them at a safe distance and pay attention to everything they pick up. You should have had enough time to react to his sudden blood lust. I've been killed by so called "friendly" players before too. It sucks but since then I've learned to treat them like a friendly dog that's foaming at the mouth. Cool to have around for a while but it's likely sick in the head.

:beans: :beans: :beans: :beans: Classic. Tips: Don't bother working with anyone until you learn the basics of the game. Even if you did find your buddy you'd more than likely accidentally kill him or he'd accidentally aggro an entire towns worth of zombies and bring them straight to you since it sounds like neither of you have learned how to deal with them yet. The best way to learn how zombies react and how to lose them is to hang around the coastal towns and studying their behavior. You can also search the forums or watch some live streams for good tips. Hang out and chat via whatever program or system you choose. Learn how to play together but at a safe distance. You can give each other tips each time one of you figures something out. You're still playing with your friends, hopefully telling jokes, but you're learning the ropes at the same time.

If anyone actually doubts the rumors then they should ask Rocket about Samwell62 from the first ever dayz server. I bet he dodges the question or pretends to have never heard of him.

Finding ammo boxes is legit.

Its funny when these connection issues pop up. Usually after they get hit with a bullet.

Third person preferred. It's more tactical. Gives me the ability to feel out my surroundings. I also come from a tactical gaming background. FPS feels like I only have one eye and it's riddled with cataracts. First person for tighter spaces and close quarter combat. I only play on servers with third person on but crosshairs turned off. Crosshairs + third person makes life too easy for bandits.

It's like a 69 Chevelle but the size of an SUV. What's so hard to understand about that?!

The cars are just really really big in the WarZ universe.

I'm about to go on a barbwire, sandbag, and tank trap rampage. Anywhere where server hoppers frequent or snipers like to hide are about to get much more dangerous.
