I was a tad toasty last night and I think I just ran in large circles for a couple hours. Wasn't as epic as the other night. :D I'm still up for a raid on our cousins across the pond so keep an eye out. -

My computer is sad so I hide in the woods and record rabbits at 10 fps. You'll be alright if you found every vehicle and zombie on the map and blew them all up in the center of Cherno. -

I always use flares when raiding a town at night but I'm careful not to light only the area I'm in. If you need additional light for some reason, use red chemlights as they wont stand out as much as blue and green against the red light of the flares. I find using flares more fun and a player with a flashlight is a lot easier to pinpoint than a guy running around in a large and well lit area. Other than that, good tips for people. -

I nearly shart myself when I realized I was lying prone within looting distance of that sniper and I'm still chuckling over the four point blank enny shots I needed to drop him. I guess the inner noob took over. :) Good times fellas. Had a blast. -

How does avoiding pvp hurt you? It's not always possible but it's not like we have to deathmatch in Elektro to have fun in DayZ. And a lot of players do not shoot on sight. It's only the squiddies that do that and they're pretty easy to avoid. -

I see you have strong feelings about it. As do I, and I assure you third person makes it harder. Everything you just used to try back up your opinion of how third person makes the game dumber [read: easier] for you to get a kill makes the game harder for you to survive. Two players that know how to use third person will have a hard time killing each other unless one is stupid or one outsmarts the other. You've also oversimplified everything but I'm not going to beat you up over it. I do find it interesting that you think you know exactly when it's safe to move from cover immediately after mentioning all players ability to look over walls or see around corners without exposing themselves. Changing the core view people associate with DayZ would be a huge mistake. -

I don't think slapping together a bit of news in five minutes would be the smart thing to do. If there's any room for misinterpretation in the post the trolls, puppets, and gaming sites will use it to their advantage. They have to be careful about what they say and how they say it. It's sad but I think the time when a dev could just hop on the forums, say something about the game, and then answer a handful of questions is over. -

I think the most important part of that entire post, if we feel we must pick it apart, would be "But we will slip this date if needed, we will not compromise the project for the short-term gain of meeting this date." I'll hop on the whinewagon when it's the end of January and we haven't heard anything. -

See, we disagree completely. Third person is the only logical view for a game like this as it makes the pvp game harder, makes travelling more interesting, and feels more natural. Yes, it makes pvp harder. Most of the anti-tpv guys prove this with their posts without realizing it. -

I've seen several third person shooters try this and if it's done poorly it can cause even more sickness or irritation than arma's fpv. If done properly, awesome. I'll wait and see but more than likely people will just sit back from the wall a bit. -
I'm not a fan or regeneration at all. Had to say that. :) How about a regeneration cap? If you're under 2k or something you slowly regenerate X amount per minute until you're at least not passing out every time you take a step.
