If you read them why are you asking for a dev answer to when beta will be when it was clearly stated in the most recent dev blog? To answer you other silly questions, please let me know how modding a new map into CoD works out. Or Destiny. Or whatever big market game that profits purely from DLC. Yay! I mean, if modding was so super easy wouldn't every popular game have shit tons of mods like Skyrim or Arma? Did i really just have to say that? 3D models with use FBX? Jinkies, I sure am glad the devs are making that format compatible with the engine now. Hurray for us modellers! Or did I somehow miss that being an option with previous Arma games, wait, no. I didn't. Yay for me for knowing wtf I'm taking about! Oh wait, the first return for a converter is from the Bohemia semi-sister company. Oopsie. Devs, they so funny. Thanks for proving my point to me. Silly devs making games that are moddable when they're complete. Silly silly devs. Anyway, I'm pretty buzzed right now but if you want to talk modding maybe you should go poke about the Insurgency forums to see what can happen to modding when a game dev is still making changes.

None of the Arma3 mods would be possible without the framework they've created. Think REAL hard about that.

These types of threads are tiresome no matter where I read them but since I've always wanted to ask this I'll go ahead and do it. If there were 800 identical basic doors in a field and I asked you to count them, what number would you give me? Follow up question, is that number greater than 1? -
We have the Press Vest which makes sense in the given setting. Would other civilian vets though? Even here in Texas they're rare. Rural Chernarus? Maybe even more so.

Most official severs I see are empty so I doubt the change would impact anyone. I'd probably play more on official if this was the case. -
You're only finding boots, vests, and an SKS' because of server hoppers. It is not the loot system that is the problem. You can see this on a private hive as you can find a number of AK's and attachments when you don't have hundreds of people hopping server to server so they can go back to the coast to kill fresh spawns (sorry but this is the main player group that hops). The public hive is going to need a much more radical loot respawn system to accommodate that type of player if that is what the devs want to cater to while keeping mostly the current system for private hives. IMO, no one should be allowed to hop endlessly until they have enough gear to jack off while murdering people with no gear. A hop limit needs to be set. I entirely support the ten minute login timer we had at the start of Alpha. These kids abuse the system because they can. A deterrent needs to be set immediately. We all know it occurs and the simple 69 second limit currently set does nothing to limit them. That doesn't even account for dupers who obviously hop until they have what they need and dupe the rest for their crew. Obviously that quonset hut glitch will get fixed but it will do little to deter the hoppers or esp hackers. I don't think normal players are getting bored, I think mindless PvP people who expect easy guns, and people who think zombies come first in this game, are getting bored while people who want to play the game are dealing with too many jerks duping or hopping. This has never meant to be the game for them. Most of them think Epoch is DayZ anyway. You can see this clearly by the many absurd Frankie's Exile threads.

What is the number one misconception you wish you could dispel once and for all? If there was one aspect of Vanilla DayZ that you would change, what would be? Why? etc stuff. Are there any details from dev meetings you can share about unmanned base security you can elaborate on or hint at? Advanced booby traps and the like? (crafted shotgun stands + shotty + wire, etc) Are there any plans to support friendly survivor/nomad gameplay such as longer persistence of filled packs left at wells? Currently all packs despawn after 4 hours (max) and this makes the friendly note leaving bug-out bag style gameplay nearly pointless. Do you like long walks on the beach and small dogs with disabilities? (hey guys, use the numbered list option if you dump multiple questions. It helps other readers greatly)

Will the interiors get an overhaul so they'll feel less cookie cutter? On that note, I recall from way back there was discussion on barricading and furniture having physics rather than being static models. Is this something still being considered or was that just a rocketism?

Don't waste your time in Elektro, Cherno, or Berez and don't waste your time trying to run straight to the NWAF or anything like that. Just run through two buildings on your way inland. Do not follow roads. Just run inland. Check a few buildings in the next town you come across. Passively loot but don't spend much time there. You'll likely grab a can or two but move on. Continue on. By the third town inland you should be finding fair amounts of loot. I've not starved in a long long time. -
Hi I'm new here. I like long walks in Chernarus and shooting over the heads of fresh spawns. i liked leaving backpacks full of gear at wells before the despawns and I'm a fan kittens and puppies. I'm looking for a sexy lady like Orlok or Viktor without the baggage.

Concept of what I'd like to see in-game

I believe the devs have mentioned adding a workshop to the game in the future where I imagine we'd have access to actual tools, drill press, grinder, etc. We wouldn't be able to machine high end parts but home made attachments would be much more effective when we could tap holes and actually screw in scopes or craft other attachments. So if we ignore the duct tape macgyver approach, I imagine everything here would be possible assuming we had the proper supplies to actually craft them. -

I wouldn't call it arbitrary. You even admitted there were civy variants of military gear. Anyway, hopefully as the CLE is finalized and the quonset hut loot explosion/farming glitch gets fixed the camo kids will have to actually put effort into getting geared rather than sprinting to a tent city and exploiting a bug.

I know how it is, I thought I made that clear. Point is, this is still a game and there is no reason to ever choose civy gear over military stuff unless you're actively trying to avoid looking like all the GIJoe bandits. The decision is to either wear camo or not carry as much gear as all the kids who only fill their inventory with mags they'll never actually use.
