    End Game: Gardening, not "Events"

It's going to be kind of hard to setup a camp and farm with 100 players on the map.

I prefer it if that SausageKing guy was in it. He's swell.

    Another problem.

Definitely unusual for me. Even on the busiest of days with near capacity servers I don't see more than a few minutes to log in. What kind of servers are you connecting to? Public, private? Standard resets or once a day?

    Wow. :(

    Another problem.

If you're getting one hour wait times to join a server you need to start a thread asap. I haven't seen anything more than a couple minutes in months.

I'd like to go ahead and once again preemptively thank the mods for dealing with what will very likely be bandit head times a thousand post release.

    Bad Version

Must resist making snarky comment. Sorry to hear that. Best of luck.

    Usual cause of death: Bleeding

You can find bandages in almost every building and on the zombies themselves. The best way to lose a zombie is to break his line of sight by either running closely around buildings, fences, and other obstacles and taking sharp turns or by zig zagging through trees. Alternatively, if you don't like running and prefer the easy way out, you can just hide in a bushy tree of your choosing. I prefer to run most of the time. You main objective at this point is to learn how the zombies react to your movements, what distance they can aggro from, what causes them to aggro, how your various stances impact your visibility and noise, and where to find the mighty hatchet. Experimenting with zombies is really the only way to learn how they work so take some time to get acquainted with your new friends. If I'm trying to avoid detection I almost always crouch run or crouch walk. AVOID running and sprinting on hard surfaces such as pavement, stone, and even hard packed dirt as this will make a ton of noise and you'll soon have a horde on top of you. Hatchets are found in barns and other industrial looking areas. They are by far the best zombie weapon. The machete is handy too. Find one, pick it up, open your inventory by pressing G, right click on the hatchet, select 'remove from toolbelt' and then you're all set. Swing away. It'll take some practice to learn it's range but once you do you're ready for more challenging areas. Nearly all zombies will have some type of loot on them so it's good to check their bodies when hungry, thirsty, or in need of bandages.

Please for the love of zombies help me!

Give this a shot. Our Arma brothers seem to have a working solution. http://forums.bistud...read.php?138564

    If Rocket messaged you tomorrow...

    High fives.
  13. I'm willing to bet some groups are already working on this for free.
  14. I've already reevaluated my thinking on this. :) Shit, I'm going to buy it anyway, might as well get it while it's cheap.

    kick restriction 20/21

This isn't really a solution but I'd try downgrading to an earlier version of DayZ and then find a server hosting that. Then drink. :)

Stick a camera in someone's face and they'll immediately act differently. Doesn't matter who they are. I could be wrong but it's didn't sound like they had much play time by the time Rocket started recording. And judging by Senior Lightfoot's wrangling of a certain forum mod, it seems like they were limited to a certain area. Don't hate, congratulate.

I'm glad the video doesn't look like one of those many hype generators pushed out by other companies. I prefer a slapped together Rocket and Matt vid over a video created by a committee of pencil pushers standing behind some underpaid video editing monkey. It feels more grounded and seems aimed at informing the fans rather than generating preorders. For some reason I thought he meant fingerprints as in smeared food or blood to suggest the can wasn't just some old trash loot but a can recently used by another player or bandit. Well, I hope he meant that. Going full CSI in a zombie apocalypse seems kind of weird in my book.

It's beautiful and perfect the way it is!!

    Unrealistic Injurys when falling etc

Strangely enough, I find myself falling off such things as deerstands and stairs (about halfway up the barn stairs) and surviving it without much more than a pause in movement. I usually look around in total confusion. DayZ rule #9401, never leave the coast without two morphines.

The shot of the zombies wondering around in the field made me pause. If it's actually planned to be like that, wow, looting is going to be tricky. If it was just a test, still cool.
