Side chat is extremely annoying and breaks immersion faster than anything. Maybe they can allow it on the super easy mode servers or something? I just wish it would die but that's my opinion. :) -

It's all fair to make money off your work but why not kick some of the change they're going to make with any type of exclusive early videos towards something worthwhile? There will still be plenty of time to rake in the cash with streams and vids and a small gesture like this is just win-win all around. -

If they pick any of these famous youtuber goofs to make a pre-alpha release vid/blog/interview, they should have the videos hosted on some charity channel so the bit of ad revenue goes to something more useful than Frankie's pocket. Same goes for any pre-release vids by any streamers/tubers. Just my opinion.- 163 replies

I may have given you the wrong info earlier. :D My bad bro. It looks like the can_mat_clean_SMDI.paa is what is giving the can's the rings. My durrr. That said, the very first entry in the can_clean_super.rvmat is the _nohq. I'm not sure what results you'll get by applying another. You can edit the code in the Source Name line and direct it to your nohq as needed. This is what I did to get the can to look really clean in the 'how to see your textures clearly if you hate those silly jagged lighting effects' post. :) :) As always, save the file as something else and point your model to the right .rvmat if you're going to adjust anything. :) That way you wont break the other assets. I'm going to look into that other issue tonight. I feel asleep last night after watching Vikings. -

I've done it before. While this may not result in any change, check to see if you, your buddy, and the server are running the same version of the beta patch. I'm curious to know. -

I'd still like to see the A3 map make it to DayZ some time post release. I could see 100 players working if the game plays completely different from the mod. In the mod, 100+ players would only turn the congested routes north into killing fields and the coast would become an even worse deathmatch. I bet it might work in the SA with the changes to the loot and if zombies become a serious threat. I think it's nuts but I'm interested in seeing how it all pans out before ordering a rocket sized straight jacket. -
